It really does! How in the world did 47 yrs. pass that fast? I bet it wouldn't have been that fast if the DOH hadn't come along to spice life up! -

I wish I could have one of the Skipper hats that Alan Hale (Skipper) signed when he autographed them and sold or gave them away at his Alan Hale's Lobster Barrel restaurant. He autographed the brims with "Alan Hale Skipper."

Heart Back in the olden days when you had to type a series of letters and numbers into your Nokia phone to get a custom ringtone, mine was Popcorn. It was great for a few years, and then the Crazy Frog ringtone fad hit Europe and the second single released under that brand was, you've guessed it, Popcorn. I had to change it after that, although I still like some of the original versions.

There were yellow wind and rain warnings in place here for most of the day, but where I live, we got away lightly. It was just a wet, miserable day with a few heavy showers. A couple of places in Co. Wexford got badly flooded when the river burst its banks.

According to the Wikipedia page for Shรฉrif, fais-moi peur (it's in French), the French theme was sung by Israeli singer Noam (Kaniel) with lyrics by Israeli producer Haim Saban. There's no mention of any backing singers. -

I like the French song. It's catchy. Does anybody here know who that guy is in the French version of the theme song? The background singer who goes "ah ooh ah ooh" in between the main singer's words? I like that "ah ooh ah ooh" part. -

I found Dukes on TNN in 1996. I was 9. Now I'm 38. That's 30 years ago. Doesn't feel like that long ago for me either. -

47 years! Feels like 10 to me. -
The snow is over for the most part. 18 inches. Pretty manageable here on Lake Erie. Super cold the next several days. We have a full tank of propane and a fire in the woodstove so we're good.

Hard to say. Could be Boss and Hugie running a new scam. I hear he's back in town. Hang on to your valuables.

Nope. Apparently an automated update was applied to the server and it borked the mysql service.

Yet another new thread started because you couldn't be bothered to use the search function. We already have more than one anniversary thread, including the one you started in 2022! -
Thanks for getting everything back. I had just assumed it was routine maintenance and I'd missed the warning.

Some of you may have noticed HazzardNet was down for a few hours today. The database wouldn't come up. Fixed it though. I bet Enos unplugged something important to plug in the coffeemaker. He didn't even leave me any donuts from the Busy Bee.

Mind-blowing reading experience alert! ๐คฏ When I read Gordon Korman's Titanic Book series, I don't just imagine the characters - I see and hear the James Cameron movie cast! ๐ Bernard Hill as Captain Smith, Jonny Phillips as Lightoller, Kathy Bates as Molly Brown... it's like the movie's playing in my head! ๐ฌ This happens with other books too! Stephen King's Christine = John Carpenter's cast (Keith Gordon as Arnie, John Stockwell as Dennis...), and James McLendon's Eddie Macon's Run = Jeff Kanew's crew (John Schneider as Eddie, Kirk Douglas as Marzack...). I even hear the movie soundtracks! ๐ When Christine kills Moochie, I hear "Little Bitty Pretty One" ๐ค. Has anyone else got a book-to-movie brain like mine? ๐ #readingcommunity #booklovers #moviemagic
