Only if you wear it to go juking. Otherwise, you're an escaped convict!
-
I assume that would be sweetened rather than UNSWEETENED tea? The only time I recall tea being mentioned was in 'The Fortune Tellers' when Rosco says, "Tea leaves. I'll read their tea leaves." under his breath after sending the fortune tellers on their way.

In the commentary to 'And in This Corner, Luke Duke', they talk about how the cars they used had automatic transmissions when they were supposed to be stick. The gear shifting sounds were probably dubbed from a stick. They also say that they drove everything from 318s to 440s. Cathy asks asks if some of the 440s had a Hemi shifter. Tom tries to correct her by saying "Hertz shifter", but I think he meant Hurst shifter. Either way, John says on the commentary that they all had slap shifters.

Please stop assuming that similarities make things the same and posting them as if they are facts. A couple of days ago you claimed to have seen the Sanford and Son pickup in Hazzard Square when it was just a similar model. While the shirt that Leeman steals is a similar plain blue shirt to the one that Bo wears when they go "juking" in 'High Octane', it's also similar to a lot of other blue shirts in the show including the one worn by Luke in 'Happy Birthday, General Lee'. The shirt that Hammer steals is red plaid, but the pattern is different to the one worn by Bo in 'Happy Birthday, General Lee', and his has long sleeves while Bo's has short sleeves. Please also consider whether these observations require a new thread. You've already started a thread of Easter Eggs, and there are are probably other places this could've gone. Spreading information across multiple threads makes things harder to find and less fun for people to access.

Yes - you posted the same thing six months ago in this thread (literally three posts ago on this page!), and also in 2020 in Uncle Jesse's Reviews. Luckily, Julieduke and Jessi Duke had already posted about this in 2007.

The MoonShine 400 !!
RogerDuke replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
Okay it looks like we have Hobie in the Trans Am. Garrett in a Jeff Goron NASCAR car. Me on Emma's mail motorcycle. Skipper pulling the SSMinnow with an F-350 dually. MM in Rosco's sheriff's car. Hoss in an orange F1 car. Boss, Spike, others, ya in? If we don't hear from people they're gittin' flat tires as soon as the race starts....but they will be starting. -
It was at a truck stop. It's the biggest truck stop around (Interstate 90) but it's still a truck stop with limited room so maybe they don't want too many people.
-
That's pretty impressive Skipper. But I know you have a photographic memory when it comes to scenes from Dukes episodes so I'm not surprised.

I love this line in Season 7 No More Mr. Nice Guy, during one of several bouts of Boss Hogg's amnesia thru out the episode. The bad guys kidnap him in a scene, and they knock his head on the roof, to subdue him before loading him into the backseat. Because he wouldn't hold still and tried getting away. Waylon Jennings:"So, they beddie byed Boss, an' hauled him out of town like a sack of Grits." Befitting since the Boss wears that White 3 piece suit. Grits are White.

The Dukes of Hazzard Season 5
Skipper Duke replied to Skipper Duke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Episodes
Did y'all know that before Tom and John walked out, the episode Coy Meets Girl was originally supposed to be titled A Bo for Bobby. Because of that girl Michelle Greene (Bobby Lee Jordan). -
Y'all No More Mr. Nice Guy is available now.

Did anyone 'sides me notice that in Season 4 Dukes in Danger, the shirt escaped convict Leeman stole to wear was Bo's Blue shirt from Season 1 High Octane, and the shirt Hammer stole to wear was Bo's Red Checkered Plaid Flannel from the flashbacks in Season 7 Happy Birthday General Lee.

The MoonShine 400 !!
Hobie Hartkins replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
Let's all remember, it's the MoonShine 400 ( not like Daytona 500, Charlotte 500 etc. ) because we who started the race, can't stay sober long enough to make 500 laps! It's ok though. We have a lot of fun racing people we know and it's mainly a Hazzard County thing, so we don't have to worry about outsiders crashing the party!! I hope everyone has had a great day. Remember, it's DOH day!! * * Happy DOHD everybody! ( Fridays are always Dukes Of Hazzard Day!) -
When I went years ago, it doesn't seem like it was very well advertised. I heard it at the last minute and was lucky enough to go. Makes you wonder if it's on them and it's their way of saving money? IDK. When I went, I don't think Richard Petty was there. It was just Kyle Petty and a bunch of guys I didn't know. LOL. It was neat and odd at the same time. LOL

The trio correctly identified the square as the filming location of 'The Music Man' and 'The Gilmore Girls' (both already mentioned in this thread), and then Cathy says "and then didn't they film, um, Opie, uh, what's that, not Happy Days, um ...". She never finished the sentence and never mentioned Andy Griffiths, but it's fair to assume that that's what she was referring to as Ron Howard's character was Opie Taylor (and he was in 'Happy Days'). Exteriors for "The Andy Griffith Show" were mainly filmed at the RKO 40 Acres/Desilu backlot in Culver City, about 45 minutes south of the Warner Bros' backlot. I can't find any evidence of Andy Griffith filming in Burbank. The video below shows what's now standing where the backlots were, and mentions several other shows and movies that were filmed there. It also shows the former Desilu Studios in Hollywood. There's a brief Dukes tie-in at around 12:32 when they show a still of James Best from the 1959 movie 'Verboten!'.
