  1. Past hour
  2. Like the ghost of Babe Ruth told Benny in The Sandlot "Heroes get remembered. But legends never die." ❤️
  3. Today
  4. Just heard the sad news, a few hours ago. From my oldest brother, who him, and my other 2 brothers, gave me my nickname years ago. Cooter! Cuz i tinkered with anything car related. From probably 4 years old . From hotwheels to hubcaps and old vehicles. Im 42 now. Nickname means more to me now. As Cooter/Ben Jones, always went out of his way, to help those in need.I live by that rule also.We were raised that way. The RIGHT,and HONEST way. Respect for your elders, treat others the way , you would want to be treated….and be a decent human being……. We did lose a legend. But as the ol sayin goes…legends never die! Say hi to uncle Jesse and the others for me that we lost. Enjoy a peaceful rest Ben Jones. “I might be crazy, but i aint dumb….,Crazy Cooter comin atcha!” Its not goodbye, its so long. We’ll meet again on the other side.
  5. Ben Jones passed away today August 9, 2026. It’s a sad day for Dukes Of Hazzard fans and Ben’s family. My prayers are with Ben and his family.
  6. Boss Hogg wore a white suit with a VEST.
  7. You got it. Mr. Haney is Sam the bartender in Season 2 Episode 1 (14) Days of Shine and Roses. 😀
  8. I’m not totally sure…but, actor Pat Buttram made appearances on both Green Acres & Dukes of Hazzard. Both GA & DOH aired on CBS, and both were set in “fictional” farming/small town locations: GA in Hooterville, and DOH in Hazzard County, Georgia.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Unfortunately, it's true. His wife Alma confirmed he passed of a heart attack while waiting for the Braves' game to come on. He would've been happy to see them beat the Yankees today.
  11. I grew up watching the Duke boys and my son absolutely loved it. He wore the cowboy boots and white sleeveless t-shirts. We got to meet him in I think 98, in Virginia. What a great man.
  12. I grew up watching The Duke boys, and my son absolutely loved it to. We went and met him when he was in Virginia. He was so nice. Loved him on the show and he didn't disappoint in person. Great man.
  13. I heard about it a little while ago…unbelievably devastating! Ben was probably the biggest advocate for the show, Duke Fests, events, and keeping the DOH spirit alive. It will never be the same, and I worry how long it will continue, without Ben.
  14. Ben's wife Alma has announced that Ben passed away of a heart attack today. There was no greater advocate for the show than Ben. He kept the spirit alive all these years with fan events and Cooter's Place. This is devastating. Feel free to share any experiences meeting Ben, kind words, favorite Cooter moments on the show, etc.
  15. Hey guys....is it true? I'm currently watching the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers play and having a few adult beverages and I'm on FaceBook and it showed a modern picture of Ben Jones ( looks a lot like Jimmy Best in the latter years) and it said , from his wife I THINK....he died! If somebody could confirm that and get me his age, cause of death etc. I'd be very grateful!
  16. We used to have a Western Auto when I was little.
  17. Last week
  18. Which one of these was on the show, Hogg's Nest or Boars Nest?
  19. Dukes Trivia: What is the connection between The Dukes of Hazzard and Green Acres?
  20. You MIGHT be more Jewish than I am! LOL!
  21. Happy DOHD everybody! I hope people will hangout periodically through the night and keep the party going. I'm not sure what episodes I'm going to watch tonight but probably it will be the 1st yr. I'll pull them in here ( my computer room ) watch them while on the computer, after I see the news and some other shows that come on at this time and then.............IT'S FULL ON HAZZARD COUNTY!!! ( along with my Natural Ice ......America's biggest selling Ice Beer!).....aaaand maybe a few snacks! Well my fellow Hazzardites....I was hoping to see a few more Hazzard citizens in here just before watching an episode. I thought it would be nice if sometime on DOHD, we could ALL be here at the same time and watch an episode or two!.....I'll check back a little later before I start watching .... I also wanted to say, that my wife wasn't feeling good, so I picked her up early and she's off the rest of the weekend, so I don't have to worry about getting up early tomorrow or Sunday! So the Dukes and the fun begins a lot earlier!! YEEE HAAA!
  22. you could be right cousin....though this time I might see if any of the Ruff Red Necks want to race....you know, like the Bodries, other former villains on the show etc.
  23. Dang it! I overpaid by 29c.
  24. I waited to watch the 2005 movie until I could stream it free somewhere. I got out of it exactly what I paid for it.... nothin'.
  25. You're right. I've just looked at the prices people are asking for rare 1:18 Dukes diecast models.
  26. Just got back from a 3 day trip to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Looks like things are pretty slow around here. Looks like we need another Moonshine 400!
  27. He can ask 5 grand for it but good luck selling it for anywhere near that. We've been selling antique furniture from our parents estate. It has been a real eye opener. Prices on the internet do not represent the real world.
