What I'm Doing Right Now!
Skipper Duke replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
I'm out of reactions. So here's your lol. -
The sky is blue the sun is shining. Not a cloud in the sky. We see the General Lee zooming along. Balladeer:"Well, sir, it was a lovely Spring morning in Hazzard County. The Dukes had just finished their chores, and has their breakfast. They were excited about the grand opening of the new Tri-County Amusement Park. They were on their way over there for a little family day that they had planned." Rosco comes out of his speed trap when they zoom by him. Luke:"Bo, they're playin' our song!" Cue Roger Duke, or Garrett Duke

Season 7 Happy Birthday General Lee Luke:"Bo." Bo:"Awe shoot. It's them again." Rick:"Pull over you rubes, we want that car!" Luke:"Why don't leave us alone!? We bought this car, it's ours!" Bo:"Luke." Rick(Waving gun menacingly.):"Yeah!? An' this here says it's ours! Now pull over!" Luke:"Yeah. Alright! You got us. We'll pull right over." (Softly to Bo so only he can hear.)"Hit it!" Bo:"What?" Luke:"Go!" Luke:"We left the dang bows an' arrows back in the trunk!" Bo:"Well, the General needed a trial run. He's gettin' it." Bo:"Dang it, those 2 never give up. Oh great, the dang bridge is washed out!" Rick:"We got 'em now!" Luke:"Why ain't you slowin' down!? We're gonna crash!" Bo:"Well, wish me luck!" Luke:"Bo!" Waylon Jennings:"Folks, this is a historic moment. The first jump ever made by General Lee." Rick:"It's ok sugar. We'll have to take the long around. But we'll get 'em!" Luke:"You alright?" Bo:"Yeah." Luke:"We just jumped a dang creek!" Bo:"Yeah! General Lee always was a Calvary man huh?" Luke:"We built more into this car than just plugs an' pistons I guess." Bo:"Fightin' spirit of the South! Come on cousin, we got us a race to win!" Luke:"Hang on a second. I'm gonna go grab the bow and arrows, 'cause I don't wanna have to do that again." Bo:"General, yer somethin' else. We jumped right over that creek, didn't we?" Luke:"We sure did!" Bo:"Clean over it! Yeah hoo!" Waylon Jennings:"And this is the Boars Nest 8 years ago. Well, at least it didn't deteriorate. And this is the startin' line of the big race, that's either gonna save the Duke Farm or plow it under."

The MoonShine 400 !!
RogerDuke replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
I'm trying to decide if I'm going to race with Miz Tisdale's dirt bike (would that be against postal regulations?) or Jesse's truck. Either way I'm going to have Cooter put an NOS system on my machine. I hope he's able to put NOS on a 2-stroke motorcycle. That sounds a little dangerous....which is exactly why I want to do it. Come on folks, what are the rest of you racing? Hobie, what year, color and model is your Mauler? - Yesterday

Meadowmufn replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
Rosco was a baaaaaaaaaaaad influence on me. -
In yesterday's race, Lando Norris got a good start from second and challenged for the lead off the line, but had to go wide at the second corner a dropped back to sixth. Kimi Antonelli got up to second and also briefly challenged Max Verstappen for the lead. He held the place for a few laps before being passed by Oscar Piastri. Oscar then went on to take the lead at the start of lap 14. It took Lando a few more laps, but he also passed Max to take second. There were a couple of virtual safety cars for blown engines, and one of them let George Russell pit and get out ahead of Max. Behind them, Lewis Hamilton gave some very sarcastic team radio messages when his Ferrari team were slow to respond to his request to swap track position with his team mate Charles Leclerc. First he asked if they'd finished their tea break, then when he had to let Charles back in front he was given the gap to the car behind and he asked if they wanted him to let them past as well. By the end, the two McLarens had a lead of over 30 seconds ahead of George and Max in third and fourth. Williams seem to be having a resurgence (they were always one of the top teams when I started watching F1, but haven't done so well in recent years) with Alex Albon in fifth and Carlos Sainz Jr in ninth after challenging Lewis on the final lap. Oscar's third win in a row is the first time a McLaren driver has achieved that for over 25 years. You can see the race highlights here. Oscar now leads Lando by 16 points with Max another 16 back. In the Constructors' Championship, McLaren have a huge lead because Red Bull still can't get a team mate for Max who can score good points. There's now a week's break before a triple-header in Europe starting at Imola. News just breaking: The Alpine team look like they're replacing Australian rookie driver Jack Doohan with Argentinian Franco Colapinto after just six races. Jack has had mixed form so far this year with a couple of heavy crashes. Franco drove nine races for Williams last year, but also had mixed results.

LOL! That's great! I can't say much about Meadow though....she's a FINE young lady.....!!! .....although she does need to be careful about hanging out with Rosco! You know what mama always said, you're a reflection of the company you keep! -

True. I don't trust Meadowmufn. She's just too good of friends with the Sheriff. Speaking of which, I wonder if Rosco is going to let her drive his car in the Moonshine 400. If she does, ignore the siren. She will probably use it to trick us into slowing down. -

I'm guessing we are going to have a pretty diverse group of race vehicles.....just like Mario Kart. I love that game. Sorry I'm out of reactions Hobie or I'd be giving you lots of likes. -

I like the way you think Mr. Race Commissioner. I think we should take a week before the race starts to make sure everybody has described their vehicle. And to make sure that everybody who wants to enter and lose to me has time to do so.
