Lewis Hamilton took pole for Saturday's sprint race, but got passed by Kimi Antonelli at about the midway point and had to settle for second at his home race. For the main race, Kimi took pole ahead of the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis, and the other Mercedes of George Russell. Kimi had a poor start and was passed by both Ferraris. He didn't get ahead of Lewis until lap 11. Kimi then stayed out while the other leaders pitted. That led to a great 3-way battle between Lewis, George and Max Verstappen. When Kimi finally changed his tires he came out behind Charles. The new tires helped Kimi catch Charles quickly, but then on lap 41 he got a loose piece of the car affecting his steering. By the time the team managed to clear it, Kimi was out of contention. On lap 48 (of 52) Max crashed out of third place bringing out a full safety car. Both Ferraris pitted for new soft tires, but sadly we were deprived of a last lap shoot-out as the race finished under the safety car. The cars in F1 don't refuel, so they can't extend the race like they can in NASCAR. At the flag it was Charles ahead George, Lewis and the McLaren of Lando Norris. Just like the sprint race, the British drivers could only manage second, third and fourth! Race highlights are here. There's now two-week gap until the Belgian Grand Prix (sorry, but I had to mention Belgium ).

Maybe Americans can now start to appreciate a famous quote by Bill Shankly who managed the English soccer team Liverpool from 1959 to 1974: "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that".

Oh I very much agree. Didn’t seem right to me, It does sound like a Boss scheme for sure, I was a little disappointed nothing was disclosed but what can you do?

This sounds like a daylight robbery scheme that Boss would've been proud out. My brother gets autographs of actors in play programs at the theater when he visits. His collection includes some big names including knights and dames, and not one has ever asked for a cent! Thanks for the post, Webb, and I'm glad you got to meet John, but this feels totally against the spirit of the show.

And we let the Scot's down again by beating Mexico!

Scotland is indeed its own country, but part of the UK. Just so you know, Roger, many Scottish fans are rooting for Mexico against England today. 🤣 There's a bit of a rivalry there.

Say what you like about the UK, but we've created more independence days around the world than any other country!

I'm sitting here drinking and just finished watching Opening Night At The Boar's Nest....Tell me guys, don't you think that was a weird episode to end the series on? It seems being an opening night, it would've been one of the first, if not THE first episode.....????

I just wanted to share my experience meeting John Schneider. I bought 2 VIP tickets to one of his concerts that included a photo and 2 signatures per person. At arrival waiting in line to meet John his manager inspects your things and says that die-cast are not included it has to be flat item (CD, License Plate, Photo). We asked why it mattered what the signature went on he said it should've listed on our tickets (but it wasn’t). We drove 12 hours to meet him so I wasn’t leaving without him signing my die-cast general that the rest of the cast members have signed. So needless to say we were charged an extra $100 USD which was unexpected as the rest of the cast only charged me $20. But John was very nice and talked with us and joked around and he will sign items that you buy personally from him. The concert was more of a show n tell stories about Smokey and The Bandit, Jackie Gleason, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings talked about his movies and sing a few songs. But overall we did have a good time and he had his general Lee with him.

AI is going to be quite a game changer. I can only imagine what the future will be like. RIP reality. The future is fantasy.

Dukes is the only show that I have cared about since it came out. Others I liked a lot were Charlie's Angels, A-Team, Stingray and Dallas. Stingray is my second favorite show but few people have even heard of it. Duck Dynasty is the only modern show I loved.

I knew that but I thought Wales was the equivalent of Alaska or something....more like a state and not its own country. I also thought the same about Scotland.

I was 16. This 250 celebration didn't seem as big but I'm sure 300 will be huge. I'll be hanging out in Hazzard Heaven then.....the only place better than the USA to live!
