Overview:

The sheriff's car is less detailed then the AutoWorld General Lee making it also cheaper.
As you can see this model has Dodge lettering on the front where the one in the series didn't.
also this model has an antenna which it should not have.
According to different sources (James Best's Website and HazzardNet) it is either right or wrong that it is a 1974 Doge Monaco. The only changes I could find between an 1974 and a 1975 Dodge Monaco is that the chrome bulge above the front headlights do not exist on the 1975 Dodge Monaco. Thus making this model the wrong year as the one in the tv series didn't have the bulge.

As you can see this model has greenish windows, this is definitely wrong. The version released with the gumball lights had the the right color windows.
Also visible in this picture is that the left rear doors handle isn't chromed while the one on the other side is chromed, if this is with all models or just mine I do not know.
Decals:

The decals of this model are very detailed. Although very detailed the 'T' in 'COUNTY' and the 'SHERIFF' lettering seem to be not thick enough.

This decal is very nicely made but should not be here, the Georgia Monaco's only had a Sheriff decal on the back of the car where it says Dodge on this model.
Also, while looking at the bumper it seems Rosco had already driven the car before I got it as there is a black patch on the chrome bumper.

Thank you Hoss, I never expected to have missed the blue stripe as it's so obvious now. I guess I didn't see it before as a lot of filming was done from the waist up.

I had posted this picture before but not as big as this one. This is the first time I see the camera crew filming this jump.It looks like some of the cars in the pile were from some of the bad guys from previous episodes. This would have been an awesome background picture if it wasn't for that test.

Here we can clearly see that Boss his suit actually wasn't white but more creme compared to the white cloth underneath. Sorry I don't know how to call that piece of his clothing.

Wasn't able to watch the whole thing. Just too late. Harvick won so I enjoyed that coming out of bed Monday morning though.  
Was amazed at the amount of tyre failures. That was more than anyone bargained for I bet. I have to say that I'm very surprised since really starting to watch nascar since late last year at the amount of tyre failures that actually come with oval racing. I heard its just the continued stress a tyre has to indure in the banks but I'm just surprised by this. If This would have happened as much in F1 the manufacturer would have changed the tyre structures 3 times already.
I watched some races of the NASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing championship where I heard commentary from Mike joy and Jeff Gordon. This was before Everything revolving around BLM kicked off. It was very insightful commentary I must say. The only 'unprofessionalism' I guess that you'd call it which I found quite funny everytime is when Gordon was trying to communicate with someone who was driving and he couldn't 'get through' on the radio. Was cool to see North Wilkesboro on there!
Usually we have Rick Winkelman doing commentary for us here in Dutch. Which is also very insightful. But there is no co-commentator, so there is no storytelling/jokes or what you'd call it between commentators which I slightly miss. It's is very funny though when you guys in the USA go to commercials. Cause we hear your intro and outro music as its the world feed NASCAR is sending out. But we have no commercials! It just cuts to random onboard cameras and static trackside cameras till You guys are back from the break and the music fades back in. It's almost as if the whole of the NASCAR production team goes on break everytime.
Our commentator often uses this time to catch up on what happened and to answer twitter questions. Have had my questions answered a few times which was cool.

Can I ruin a good NASCAR thread by saying that I'm looking forward the F1 season finally starting this weekend?

Watched as much as I could. Saturdays race lasted till almost 2 AM but I had to see Harvick win.
Sunday I had to shut off before the finish. It was just getting too late. Some odd crashes happened in that race I must say.

LOL Hoss at what Fangio said. I bet it's hard for them to drive and not speed on the normal roads.
I remember Jeff Gordon saying he got pulled over  for speeding while he was on the phone with Dale Earnhardt Jr. He said he could tell the cop wasn't impressed that he was Jeff Gordon so he asked him if he wanted to talk to Jr. And Jr got him out of a ticket.  It cracked me up...don't know why. LOL. 
Anyway, it's good to be back.

We've mentioned a couple of historically famous non-NASCAR drivers recently, so I thought I'd share a quote from another that I heard last night. Juan Manuel Fangio dominated the early years of F1, winning the World Drivers' Championship five times in the first decade. Here's his quote:

"Driving fast on the track does not scare me. What scares me is when I drive on the highway I get passed by some idiot who thinks he is Fangio."

Yeah I don't wear my shirts anymore nor talk about it.  I really don't know how to feel about it.  I never thought of them being a racist show nor thought the flag on the car stood with racism. But I do see where people would cone to the conclusion that it does since slavery and all that was fought for by the people carrying the same flag.

I'm just really down that they are casting a  big shadow over the Dukes by making them look racist or anyone who likes the show. I'm not racist and hate the thought of someone thinking I am just because of a show. But I do see where people are coming from by associating the flag with it...even if that's not what it was intended to mean.  If all that makes sense... 
 

I think it's due to the no practice period before the race so basically what they unloaded from the trucks is what they ran. Some teams had a good setup but most it seemed didn't even after making changes during pit stops.

I think Luke was just giving Daisy an alias, although the name Annie is only mentioned that one time in the whole episode, so I don't know if it was supposed to pre-arranged.

Yup! I had the exact same when looking through the collection of pictures I have. Of most outfits there's only about a maximum of 3 pictures I guess. But there are 100+ pictures!

At first the Thursday race was to be broadcast at 1:30 AM for me. Wasn't gonna watch it, way too late for me. Then it was rescheduled to midnight. Could at least partly watch it with that start time. Turned on the TV at midnight. No rain, but the delay was to about 1:30 AM. 
Well... At least With them showing Multiple Episodes of something about Nascar in the 70s, I forgot the name. I learned that Formula One Legend Jackie Stewart was a commentator for NASCAR at one point as well as that he tried to qualify for a race in 1967!
Planning on watching part of it again tonight as it starts at midnight!

And don't forget the Buttermilk 5.00 after that. Run 5 laps around the barn after drinking a quart of buttermilk. If nobody makes it without getting sick the person who gets the farthest wins....it will probably be Enos again.
