HossC Posted Tuesday at 08:18 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 08:18 AM Seeing as it's St Patrick's Day today, I thought I'd post something special. The winners of the Eurovision Song Contest have to host the event in the following year, and 1994 was Ireland's second consecutive year with that duty after having won with Linda Martin's "Why Me?" in 1992 and Niamh Kavanagh's "In Your Eyes" in 1993. The captions tell the story, but this was the interval entertainment that went on to be a worldwide phenomenon. The music came in at #87 in the recent top 100 countdown. HossC Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago This song didn't make the top 100, but I heard it emanating from a pub on Paddy's Day and it got stuck in my head for a while. It's about a town in Co. Clare. Christy Moore - Lisdoonvarna Quote
