It was fun whole it lasted. You just don't see an 01 leading a race very often....at any level, especially NASCAR.

The video from the car behind Ryan Preece when he crashed was pretty scary stuff. So awesome to see him being interviewed later. The safety of those cars is out of this world.

Yeah that was crazy, that was such a once in a billion fluke how it got airborne. It's funny I read on the NASCAR subreddit someone commented every Daytona 500 they've been to a driver named Ryan had flipped, and they apologized to the 2 Ryan's in the race because he was were there lol.

What a joke. I turned it off for now, got sick of all the pandering and *** kissing. Was supposed to start early but now they'll be lucky to even beat the incoming rain on the radar.

What did I miss that was so horrible about it other than Joey Logano wrecking Chase Elliott at the end?

I missed it due to being out and my antennae not working, but I think I fixed it. We will see next Sunday.  But I think it's amazing that the 24 car is back in Victory Lane for the second year in a row. It was great to see Jeff Gordon celebrating at the end too. Though he wasn't too happy with Joey Logano's move that wrecked the 9 car. (Either am I...) Though I am excited with Jimmie Johnson's third place finish...

You were the first person I thought of Garrett when I noticed it was 24!

Thank you Roger. I am always excited to see the 24 in victory lane. Chase Elliott is my favorite current driver, but William Byron is a very close second. I miss when Chase Elliott was in the 24 car, but the 9 car is definitely his car number as deserved to be.

I'm still waiting for the start of the F1 season (the first race is March 16th), but all the cars and drivers appeared at a special show in London earlier this week to launch the 75th season. Below is a link to highlights of the show:

Thanks Hoss. Hope it gets here soon for you. Baseball starts soon after that too! (Oh yeah and spring starts here too...I'm so over winter!)

A certain spray tan addict had to stroke his tiny ego and forced NASCAR to delay the start till he arrived and lapped the track

William Byron winning back to back Daytona 500's was pretty cool.

Oh OK. I wasn't sure what you were referring to.

It was cool that William Byron was able to win the Daytona 500 back to back. I heard Rick Hendrick took the winning car back to Charlotte. It's tradition to keeping the winning Daytona 500 at Daytona until the next Daytona 500.

Well they raced at the Duke Boys' home NASCAR track (as well as Chase Elliott's) in Atlanta. The first half was pretty uneventful, but the second half produced more accidents and shuffling of the field. I was able to watch it due to moving stuff away from my antennae, but that probably jinxed Chase Elliott as he got wrecked out as Ricky Stenhouse Jr went up the track and ran him into the wall and in turn took out Brad Keselowski. Elliott was able to stay in the race and finished in the back on the lead lap.

Christopher Bell won in overtime after an accident halted the race. Just beating out Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar.

Dodge is rumored to be returning to NASCAR. First in the truck series in 2026 with the Ram 1500 then the following year with the Charger coupe in Cup and Xfinity series. It is unknown if they will go with a V8 or make a race engine with the new i6 engine.
