  1. Tell ya what. You make the egg nog this year. I like more nog than egg, myself, but not everybody has the tolerance. We'll have an updated newsletter and shopping thang in the next couple days, though, if you wanna pick out a punchbowl or somethin'. Also debating if we want to do Christmas letters to Nasty the Reindeer this year, or if that's just an invitation to more trouble.
  2. A Dukes of Hazzard fan asked me last night if "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek" is going to be on the air anytime soon. Well, I checked CMT and I checked the TV Guide listings, and unfortunately...no, at least not in the next 2 weeks. It's possible that "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek" might be aired later in December, but from the info available at present, I can't tell ya. Meanwhile, the movie is available for purchase from Amazon. Psst...hey, buddy, wanna buy a movie? Scroll down in our giftin' guide and there's a link to it. Honestly if it was on the air for free, I'd tell ya, but right now it ain't, so there's the next best option. http://www.hazzardnet.com/blog/dukes-of-hazzard-christmas-gifts/the-2010-hazzardnet-christmas-and-all-things-yule-want-giftin%E2%80%99-guide/
  3. You're right, but I'd still like to see him facing a big ol' stack of The Dukes cartoon DVD's. Heh heh. Better have a new Sharpie marker handy, Rosco. If anybody hasn't guessed, Rosco is my favorite character in The Dukes animated series. Won me over in the first episode, when Boss asks for a candle and Rosco brings him up a lit stick of dynamite. Kinda sets the tone right there.
  4. Now I'm going to reply to my own post. That's always a sure sign of bein' completely nuts. Anyhow, wanted to mention again that the first 400 copies of "The Dukes" cartoon series DVD set will be personally signed by James Best, known famously as Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane of The Dukes of Hazzard. The pre-orders of "The Dukes" have been steady! But you can still get in on the first 400 copies, looks like. Or at least the first 300, from this point. We're hoping to give ol' Rosco a hand cramp by havin' to sign his name so much.
  5. We've made some tweaks to the toolbar based upon some of the feedback from various folks. Wow, this is like...the most work we've done around this place in a month of Sundays. Wish I could take credit for it, too, but Mufn does all the technical stuff.
  6. CMT listings for Monday 11/29/10, show "Dukes of Hazzard -Reunion!" being broadcast at 9 p.m. eastern. Great chance to catch this one if you've somehow missed previous airings. Check yer local listings, showtimes may vary. 9 pm eastern is like...8 pm central, which is...7 pm, mountain, which is...uh....6 pm, pacific. Wow, the more west ya go, the younger you'd get. Cool.
  7. You do, of course, realize how bad that sounds. Yes I have internet. MaryAnne might be unusual but she isn't cruel.* *For those who missed previous issues of "HazzardNet/Arrest So n' So" dramatic Forum topics, please note that certain administrators were involved in the storyline. As was half the website, willingly or not. That's about all I'm going to explain here because the more I try to explain it, the worse it's going to sound. Why not read up on old posts on a slow night? Thank ya, the HNet Staff. Where was I before Roger's comment? Something about the Dukes cartoon. Man, workin' here is like being in the cartoon...
  8. Little bit scuffed up there, but not bad at all ! Interesting factoid too on the air tanks. Looking forward to more photos.
  9. Just to take care of any Thanksgiving leftovers, so to speak, we got a couple of email inquries that I'll respond to here, in case anybody else had the same questions: Question: What happened to the annual HazzardNet Turkey Shoot? Answer: Discontinued due to too many sharpshooters and not enough turkeys. I can only run so fast, ya know. Question: When is the next newsletter coming out? Is it monthly? Answer: The next newsletter will be out in a few days, which technically, is next month, which would make it a monthly newsletter in theory, though the last one came out just a couple weeks ago. Keep an eye on your Inbox or Spam folder, depending on how you look at it. As always, thank ya'll for your readership. Here's hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving and safe travel back home. See ya soon!
  10. WB General Lee, you're welcome. I always dig hearing how people obtained an "official" General Lee or completed restoration of a replica General Lee. It's a shared passion for the cars that keeps them on the road and keeps them coming to shows. Tim, nice pic! Looks like ya'll took over Covington there! And to think people used to worry about outlaw biker gangs. I know a few towns up north that would either welcome a herd like this with open arms (and parking spaces), and then there's others that would probably block the road with the advice to keep on truckin'. Probably be fun to go surround the local Tasteless Freeze with about a dozen of these cars and see how many times you can hit the Dixie horn.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving! I've got a lot to be thankful for. And I'm fortunate to be surrounded by terrific friends and cousins here and at home. I'm looking forward to enjoying the holidays at a slower pace this year, and letting myself be in the moment. While you're counting your blessings tomorrow, may you find new ones on the way.
  12. An excellent suggestion, Roger ol' buddy. Lemme check my contact info for CMT and WB. We should send them some appreciation this holiday season. Seein' as we're so quick to howl if there's something we don't like, I'm sure they'll appreciate the kinds words.
  13. I'm thrilled that Warner Bros. came out with the Dukes of Hazzard cartoon on DVD. Prior to this there were a few bootleg, bad-quality VHS copies floating around the internet. I saw the The Dukes cartoon at a friend's house from such a tape and still enjoyed it. Naturally I was one of the first in line to buy the new Dukes cartoon DVD now that it's available. My favorite ep out of the Dukes of Hazzard cartoon series is the the "Dickens of a Christmas" episode. It's just plain cute. As always, Jimmie Best does a great job with Rosco. I also enjoy the animated version of his dog, "Flash", who gets a lot more expressive in the cartoon, though he sports a hat that looks like something dragged off of "Hee Haw." I'm also floored that Warner Bros. is paying attention to the fans. This is no small thing. We've asked about this for years. And CMT put the Dukes of Hazzard back on the air. It's kinda funny, we'll all put up a hue and cry if something isn't on, or isn't available, but when it's right in front of us, we get kind of quiet. We can't be too quiet though. Warner Bros. and CMT like to know we're paying attention, too.
  14. I'm finding this whole thread pretty interesting. Sounds like the General Lee's used in the 2005 movie may be more rare than those used in the original series, at least for the number of cars sold to the public. Any authentic Warner Bros. General Lee is a pearl of great price and a once-in-a-lifetime ownership opportunity. While contractual issues may affect how things work with the cars from the TV series, I haven't known too many General Lee owners who were simply in this for the money. It was for their own love of the car, and/or love of the show. The smiles and admiration they get from others, is a bonus. I've seen some bigger and smaller egos around these cars, but overall I've seen a rightful sense of pride and a willingness to share. Just like all these photos that WBGeneralLee has taken the time to post for us. That's what it's all about. Every General Lee owner of a replica or authenticated car has a story behind it, and we love those stories.
  15. Not that those aren't great ideas, but that's not exactly what I'm talkin' about. The organizers of this event-in-development are much higher up. Still, the ramp idea has merit...
  16. While we're not able to release specific information as of yet.... Something Is Cooking for 2011. That's all we can tell you and we have it straight from the horse's mouth. We're just not allowed, at this time, to tell you the horse's identity, or of the proposed location of the event, as the event itself is in the early planning stages only. Nothing is promised at this point, but we know it's being looked into by key people and that discussions are in progress. We also never steal somebody else's official thunder. When we are given the green light to share details with ya'll, we will. HazzardNet will be on top of the breaking news. We're dang good at breakin' stuff, after all. *SMASH* See? Knowing something about what goes into these things, and given that the holidays are in front of us yet, it'll be at least a couple more months before we know which way the wind is blowing. Until then, be patient, save some of your Christmas money, and as soon as we know what's going on for sure, you'll know too.
  17. Yeah, usually with a shotgun in hand, like during the Bo vs. Luke fight in Carnival of Thrills. Nothing says family like a good brawl.
  18. Lonely hearts section, eh? The idea has merit, but I worry about attracting creeps. I'll talk to Mufn about it. I do know of at least one couple who met on HazzardNet and ended up getting married eventually. Crazy thing is, they didn't invite any of us to the wedding or the reception. I was hoping for cake.
  19. Man, that's cold. I got frostbite just hearin' it. 'Till the end of the year? There's gotta be another way. This is Hazzard after all..... oh, wait, I got it! Let me outta heah, and I'll make it worth your while. :icecream:
  20. I've always been a Rosco fan, but Uncle Jesse is right there too. We all need somebody like Uncle Jesse to talk to.
  21. Yeah, I miss her. This place has ran too smooth for too long. You could stand being a little less competent, ya know. You make me look bad.
  22. Aw, come on Roger! You know you wanna stay. You made a great jailbird. Much better one than I do. Maybe we can work out a little deal.
  23. Seems like my nuts are always in the fire. So I might as well add that you can write Nasty the Reindeer, MaryAnne. You're on the naughty list. Looks like you got a transfer from Santa. Might be an administrative mix-up, but I dunno, looks legit to me. Val, you need to ease back on the sugar. You're gettin' those hallucinations again. ( Roger, how do you hang around this girl without getting the sugar jitters by proximity alone?) As for you, Doc....Nasty could have an assistant, but with an outfit like that, Christmas would come early.
  24. I think there's room in the mine for Chet now, that's what I'm getting outta this. Just kidding! Tho' it's appropriate you chime in, Roger, as you were the first victim - er, guest, of our jailhouse. Since MaryAnne is blithely ignoring this thread and trying to look busy with a creating a paper clip chain, you can offer a compromise for her consideration. Or some more paper clips. (glad the miners made it out safely!)
