  1. The address is Kingston GA. May be able to Google it and see if anything pops up. It's just off a tiny two lane road. It's oddly placed but still the coolest dukes place I have seen. He is setting up shelves and display cases looks like to show his collection of dukes memorabilia as well.
  2. I haven't been here in awhile. Life happens and so I quit my job and started my own business. Anyway just recently I was told of a museum close to where I live that was like the Boars Nest. Literally 20 minutes from my house out a little 2 lane road was this awesome spectacle. It is Cooters garage from the California episodes and it is very much tv accurate. To the RH side he has built a screen accurate Boars Nest and when I say it is screen accurate I mean down to the original juke box and pinball machine. Boss's office has the pool table and the big sword fish on the wall. I can't figure out how to post pics on here since I'm just not great with that kinda stuff but I got a clip of the inside of the Boars Nest and several pics of the outside right down to the red Hoggoco gas pumps out front. The guy has a daisy jeep and a patrol car. The general lee is in the paint shop and he also has a Cadillac and a wrecker in the works too. It's hard to explain in words just how awesome this place looks but it is really cool
  3. I check in from time to time. I just don't hang on my phone like I used to. I quit Facebook in 2020 and I quit tik tok in 2022 I think. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you limit your time on the net.
  4. It's pretty cool, we set it up back in October and watched movies outside for most of the month of October and had a fire pit going and cooked out. We had a cheap projector and some computer speakers then. It worked good but I got a nicer projector and some big speakers for Christmas. It's really nice now. With the wet and cold of the winter time I moved the screen to the inside of the garage. I put casters on the frame I built so it would roll in and out. It is neat to have your own little movie screen if you want to watch something on a big screen
  5. I had a good friend of mine came to visit from north Carolina today. He is also a huge dukes fan and he has a general lee replica as well. I have a big projector screen I set up in the fall of last year and I got it inside my garage. The wife and kids got me a nice projector and some Bluetooth speakers for Christmas. We set it up today and watched One Armed Bandits on the big screen. It was pretty neat to watch the dukes on a big screen. It was not so cold here today but I did have the heater going on low to warm up the shop to a comfortable temperature. Good times for sure!!!
  6. Not from any of the chargers, the first three were painted in California and then delivered to Georgia already painted but they did not have the flag or the 01 and general lee letters on them. I haven't looked at those old work orders in years but best I can remember one was on the blue Plymouth fury, one was on the gray Ford in high octane and one was for a police car.
  7. The General Lee is always going to be my favorite TV car. My next favorite car is the 70 dodge challenger from the original vanishing point movie. Then the 70 Charger from the first Fast and the Furious movie. Then the yellow Ford coupe from American graffiti. Then Kitt from knight rider. The Volkswagen beetle from the bumblebee movie and the 76 camaro bumblebee from the first transformers live action movie 07.
  8. Me and a close friend spent the weekend at the late Henry Holmans place in butler GA several years back. He said the first three cars from California were painted hemi orange. The hemi orange and 75 flame red were very similar and the reason they started using the flame red was because they were working on alot of corvettes at the body shop which was H&H body shop and they had alot of the flame red readily available. This came directly from him, he let us make copies of some of the work orders he still had from when they were working on the cars in 1978. I have a picture of me and him and my buddy standing under the infamous Lee 1 deck lid. Whether or not that was the actual Lee 1 deck lid who knows but maybe Travis Bell. But that's a whole different story. Was glad to meet Henry and his wife, such nice folks.
  9. I have been collecting 80's toys since the late 90's. Got a fairly big dukes collection as well as transformers from the 80's and literally up til now. I have some of the OG masters of the universe stuff and some of the repop stuff from the last couple of years. Got some knight rider stuff and fall guy stuff. A decent amount of the old stomper trucks and several of the stomper track sets. Still have my bmx bike from the 80's and recently picked up a very decent DK General Lee bicycle. Just enjoy remembering the best childhood anyone could have ever asked for.
  10. I'm a fan of the Friday the 13th series. My favorite of all the movies is part 2. I really like the Ginny character, she was tough and a fighter for sure. The original comes in for a close 2nd place. My favorite Jason is from part 6. Not knocking Hodders Jason but C.J. Graham played the part differently from any other actor. Something about his Jason is different from the rest. And part 6 was filmed in covington too
  11. I have an odd list I suppose but I'm odd myself 1. Vanishing Point 1971 2. Evil Dead 1981 3. Smokey and the Bandit 4. The Fast and the Furious 5. In the heat of the night 1967
  12. I recently ran across this movie on tubi. It was interesting to say the least but when the ship came up out of the water it did look pretty freaking cool
  13. Still a big kid at heart here G1 transformers Scooby doo where are you The dukes of hazzard of course The big bang theory Two and a half men Knight rider
  14. Good to see another Transformers fan on here!! G1 all the way. I have a pretty good collection of transformers. From G1 to the generations series and the studio series stuff and the siege, earth rise and kingdom series. Any that are figures from the G1 series. I have some from the live action movies too.
  15. No more crushes here since August 2022?? I agree 100% that Lacy Chabert is nothing but a doll!!! One of my favorite actresses is Kaley Cuoco from the big bang theory. So funny and so pretty
  16. Amen to that, I am ready for the weekend. Been sitting with a heating pad on my lower back every day after work. Not sure how I strained it but it has been getting a little bit better each day. After 30 plus years of mechanic work who knows. Be glad to get a break for the weekend at least.
  17. This is just heart breaking, that stuff doesn't play favorites. Just so sad and if anyone has been through that kind of thing it's really hard. I'm sure there isn't anyone at this point that hasn't lost a loved one to cancer. Prayer for him and the family
  18. Did you know that the lady that was in this episode was the actress who played Mary Kay in Mary Kay's baby?? I think this is right, someone correct me if I'm wrong
  19. We were there in maybe 2005 ish I think and the old Marta bus was still there and there were a few cars still scattered around. We got a few pics of the bus and of the old building but it was gated but no signs at the time but we snapped a few pictures and got out fairly quickly. We didn't bother nothing just got a few pictures of the old bus and that was it
  20. I only live about 2 hrs away from covington so I have been there several times. So cool to drive my charger on the same roads they drove them on in the show. Been to most all the sites and inside most of the buildings and inside the old farm house before it got torn down. Got a pic of me standing by the old fireplace. Been inside the repo house and inside the boars nest. Lots have changed over the last 10 to 15 years for sure but most things are still very recognizable
  21. I was able to get into the junkyard way back in the early 2000's and got some pics of the place. The old bus was there then and maybe a few cars were there. Later the no trespassing signs and crap went up so that was that. I got a few pics of the old farm house too when it was still standing. Lots has changed there since the early 2000's
  22. I work on forklifts for a living and the older cars ain't too bad. I rebuilt the engine in a jeep I bought that was blown up. It was different for sure. The 4.7 V8 is a different animal but I'm still driving it and that was back in 2015. Over the last 10 to 12 years technology on cars has gone way past me. I worked on a 2013 F150 5.0 last year with a burnt valve. I got it fixed but it was not a pleasant job.
  23. I am pretty sure I sent my email address to you. Hopefully I did anyway. Lol
  24. Thank you for the information, I will look into that.
