Skipper Duke got a reaction from RogerDuke in General Lee Drawings
I did the '05 movie car Pre Cooter with O1 and no General Lee or flag and the '05 Post Cooter with 01 General Lee Confederate Flag. I did the '79-'85 series cars too in 3D fan art. GA with crossed flags in the back and CA without them and the Happy Birthday General Lee Black car. I even did the Repo Men Lee 1 the Blue Green #71 car.

Skipper Duke reacted to HossC in Mistakes (Bloopers)/Things I've Noticed About The Show
After Boss' brakes go out, Vance apparently stops his car by simply pressing the clutch. Vance previous told Boss "...what you gotta do is try to slowly downshift into first gear. And then let the gears slow you down.". All we see is him depressing the clutch but never raising it again as you would to shift gears with a stick transmission. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 1970 Cadillac DeVille only came with an automatic transmission, so it wouldn't have a clutch pedal anyway.

Every time I rematch Dukes (for the thousandth time) I notice new things I’ve never noticed before like in Ding Dong the Boss is Dead, Boss’s Cadillac is at Cooters with the note on it. When the scaffolding almost falls on him you can see the Cadillac in front of the steps. Then when Boss goes to get in his car he walks over to Cooters and gets the car and reads the note. I’m sure someone else has noticed this but I like noticing new things when you aren’t focusing on it you don’t really notice.

Skipper Duke got a reaction from RogerDuke in The sound of the General Lee when the Dukes shift gears
I just schooled someone in the comments section of a Dukes scene on TV Stunter's YouTube channel. The man said "I love the stick at 0:59." I told him in a reply to his comment. "It's actually the soundtrack from the Mustang in the movie Bullitt dubbed in. All the General Lees were automatics. 😲"

Get ready for some serious car art skills! I can draw the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard in 3D! I show the entire car from all angles - left, right, top, front, and back. My secret technique? Starting with the iconic flag rectangle on the roof and building the rest of the car from there. Who else loves the General Lee? Share your favorite Dukes of Hazzard memories! #DukesOfHazzard #GeneralLee #CarArt #3Ddrawing

Meadowmufn... I drew it lots of times both with and without the crossed flags behind the back windshield. I do it as a 3D image. I start out with the rectangle of the flag on the roof, and then I fill in the rest of the car. In my drawings, the front, back, both doors, the roof, everything is visible the whole complete car.

Skipper Duke reacted to HossC in General Lee and O1 font.
It's probably not what you want to hear, but nearly all the text in my fan art projects is done from scratch. The "01" looks similar to various 'college' style fonts, but since it's all straight lines, it doesn't take long to draw. From memory, I think I based the "General Lee" text on a screengrab from 'Diamonds in the Rough'. When the boys get the Bugs Bunny doll out of the tree you get a good overhead view.
This was my second attempt at the General - my first try, and several weird and wild variations can be found in my General Lee Artwork thread. It's all vector artwork.

Skipper Duke reacted to bo-go-vroom in My first DoH Drawings
As I said in my introduction post (which you probably havent seen), I draw, and so I wanted to share my first drawings in this fandom. Both are digital The Bo one was a test piece, I was trying to figure out this mock watercolor brush I found about a month ago. And the Luke one I did for a friends birthday on the 6th.

Skipper Duke reacted to bo-go-vroom in Annie's Fanart
It's not a finished peice (not even started), but if Bo was a dog, what kind of dog do you think he'd be?
I'm planning to draw him as a werewolf (weredog?) and am not sure what to use as reference

Good to hear from you again. Nice drawing. Thanks for posting it. You are very talented. We look forward to hearing more from you....and hopefully seeing another drawing.

Hello! I figured since I might be drawing fanart more often that it would be a better idea to have one thread/topic than to post it all on it's own every time, and I have a really good piece to start it with.
It's a drawing I did of Bo with a horse. The song "My Rifle, My Pony and Me" kept coming up on Spotify and I got really inspired for some reason, so I drew the song. (except the rifle, I didn't want to render that much metal AND wood) My friend is a horse girl and she said that Bo would have a Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare named Miss Joanne. It's my biggest project ever, with the multiple subjects and more body than just the head. I had a lot of fun with it, adding a bunch of little details that I'm sure most of them won't be found partially due to the bad quality I had to upload it in so it could fit, but I also think the bigger ones won't be understood. I'm not saying you guys are dumb, I'm saying that I probably didn't make it understandable as a reference and made it look more like just a design choice or a coincidence.
Also, apologies for not posting/commenting anything, I haven't known what to say. The only dukes thing I've done/seen/thought of besides this drawing, is I made a wallpaper and lockscreen for a friend. I swear I haven't forgotten about this forum, and I'm still a fan!

Skipper Duke reacted to HossC in Charlie Daniels
I was just watching a season 3 episode of The Fall Guy called 'Pirates of Nashville'. The main storyline was about bootlegged Country records, so Colt and gang had to fly to Nashville and visit The Grand Ole Opry. The first singer they met was Dottie West - one of Boss' Celebrity Speed Trap victims. A couple of others like Mickey Gilley were mentioned, but not seen. Then Charlie Daniels and his band showed up to perform 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia'. The episode also featured Miriam Byrd-Nethery who appeared in two episodes of Dukes. The episode finished with Colt losing a bet and having to sing the show's theme song which was portrayed as having been written by Howie.
I'm no expert on Tennessee geography, but the street signs in the urban car chase looked suspiciously like the ones in LA, and the out-of-town chase went down roads lined with white fencing that were very like the ones often seen in Dukes (e.g. W Potrero Road in Westlake Village).

Skipper Duke reacted to HossC in General Questions about The Dukes of Hazzard Series
I only watched the scene around the impound yard, but most of those stores are on French Street. You can see towards Boss' bank when the boys escape jail, but the bank is blocked by a truck. You can also see a redressed Rhuebottoms and paint store in the background when Sheriff Little crashes through the fence. The building with the fence is redressed as different businesses in several episodes.

Hmmm.....I don't know if I should make it a Buttermilk with a Moonshine chaser or Moonshine with a butter milk chaser!

Midwest Street (Hazzard Square) played Springville in 'Deputy Dukes'.
Can you give examples of episodes where the town in Chickasaw appeared and I should be able to tell you where they were filmed. I think they generally used French Street for Chickasaw, which is the one behind the the courthouse between Midwest Street and New York Street.

You got my vote Hobie. As long as your first act as Commissioner is to make buttermilk the official drink of our county.

TV Trivia Time! 🤠📺 I just discovered that Brett Halsey, who played the role of Elwin Kettle in the 1954 film "Ma and Pa Kettle at Home", also had a few memorable appearances as a bad guy in The Dukes of Hazzard! 😱
- Season 2's "The Rustlers" - He played Mr. Dunlap, a horse thief
- Season 5's "Enos in Trouble" - He played Carter, one of the gem smugglers who hid gems in Enos's flashlight
- Season 7's "Dukes in Hollywood" - He played Jason Dillard, a movie producer with a shady side
Who knew Ma and Pa Kettle's son had such a wild side? 😂 Has anyone else spotted Brett Halsey in these episodes? Share your favorite Dukes of Hazzard memories! 💬

DUKES FANS! 🚗💦 Did you know that the General Lee in Season 2's "The Runaway" episode sank in a lake on a barge? 🤯 Some say it was John Schneider's personal car loaned for the episode! 🤔 Even more interesting, this particular General Lee is rumored to be the ONLY one with WELDED SHUT DOORS throughout the entire series! 🚗🔒 Do you think it's still underwater? 🤔 Share your thoughts! 💬 #TheDukesOfHazzard #GeneralLee #JohnSchneider
