I'm sitting here watching the Cardinals vs Rams game. James Conner just scored another touchdown. He was leading the NFL in TDs this year. He went to high school near me. I've talked to him a couple times. The best player in the NHL, Connor McDavid went to the same school (McDowell, Erie Pa) and is friends with my nephew. 

I'm glad you're feeling better but be careful and Hang in there bud! Come by the car lot and I'll give you a sip to help the pain!   ( You never waste sip....ooh my that's smoooth!)    

Someone just posted in a Facebook group forum of Dukes. "What is your favorite Uncle Jesse quote? I'll start." "I ain't your Uncle Jesse!" I commented "Careful with your post. Some things he THE character said might go AGAINST standards and get you the brig." Brig= Facebook Jail if it's something Facebook doesn't agree with.

Happy 62nd Dukes of Hazzard Birthday to John Schneider(Bo Duke)4/8/60!

On Friday the youngest Duke becomes old enough to collect Social Security. Bo Duke turns 62. Some folks wait until they get older to collect SS because they get more money but I bet Bo will start now. When you consider the price of gas and the fact that the huge V8 in the General Lee needs so much of it, I'm sure he could use the extra cash. Happy birthday Bo. You're looking good. Meet us all at the Boar's Nest to celebrate. Hobie's buying the buttermilk.

I hope everyone's enjoying their turkey. I probably won't get any until nearer Christmas when turkey and ham starts to appear on menus. One of the local sandwich shops usually does a turkey, ham, stuffing and cranberry mayonnaise special which I'm looking forward to.

Thanks, Spike. It's been a while since the two have coincided, not that we celebrate Thanksgiving over here. As mentioned above, we do now have Black Friday. So far I've just had a quiet day at home. Hopefully I'll get to see a few friends over the weekend.

Thanks everyone. You guys in the US have really gone to a lot of trouble for my birthday this year.

My nephew had a Halloween party tonight so I put my werewolf stuff on and went over and scared some people.  I got back in time to see the last 2 innings.....Braves up 3 games to 1. One more win and the folks of Hazzard celebrate a World Series champion in North Georgia. 

Which Dukes character are you folks dressing up as this Halloween? 

I keep getting scam text messages giving me websites to track my parcel deliveries or some variant. There seems to be a lot of them going around. The fact that I don't order online kind of gives their game away.

Erie PA made the national news tonight for a school shooting. Thankfully the victim's injuries aren't serious. Really warm today but it's not going to last. Got a lot of outside work done and went for a Ninja ride. Baseball is getting ready to start. My Pirates will finish last again. Hopefully my second favorite team, the Braves, will win the World Series again. 

I don't have much sympathy - I filled up with unleaded last night at €1.67/litre. If my sums are correct, that's about $7.33/US gallon.

Buy yourself a rice burner! They're always good on gas! 

Stocking up isn't irresponsible, that's just being smart. Stocking up after you've already stocked up is irresponsible to society. Had to stop my dad from going to Sam's club every week during lockdown because he would buy another pack of paper towels or toilet paper after we found out he had 4 packs of each already. My old bedroom is his stock room now. He has about 2 or 3 years worth of toothpaste, at least a year's stock of paper towels and toilet paper and garbage bags, enough cereal and oatmeal to probably feed a family of 4 breakfast for a few months etc...

Finally got some time on the Ninja after going crazy not riding it for a week. It was cold but not enough to stop me. I got a little yard work done too.  It's snowing now. MotoGP racing on TV at 6:00 tonight. Anybody paying attention to March Madness? I haven't been. The Boar's Nest Bears didn't even make the Sweet Sixteen. 
We had a tragedy only a couple miles from me. 3 little kids and their grandmother all killed in a house fire. It happened around suppertime. Normally when that many people die it is in the middle of the night. No reports from the neighbors of explosions or anything.
