It wouldn't be Hazzard County if it wasn't rigged. 😂

I know I haven't put out a newsletter in quite some time, but there was a lot of Dukes related news in the past week, so I figured I'd send one out. You can view it here. If you haven't yet signed up for the newsletter, but would like to, you can sign up here.

Spike reacted to Meadowmufn in RIP Rick Hurst
I was not expecting a punch to the gut today, but here it is. Rick was such a kind man. Made me feel right at home on the reunion sets. We had some great conversations. He loved to talk about his son. He was always a class act whenever we visited him at events.

Currently been battling a sinus infection and it migrated to my chest. Been battling it for 3 weeks now..
Wish it would just take a hike.
On a positive note, I did wake up this morning feeling better but still stuffy in my nose and a bad cough.
Nothing worse than a summer illness y’all

Wonder if the city or county will pay for any damages to the Corolla? Maybe they will repaint it orange and add some numbers to the doors

No lol. Been a busy few weeks. Entered my Pontiac G8 into the local British car show . Got a lot of questions on that lol. Phrase I used most was it's originally an Australian car.
Been getting that patio pots and planting boxes ready since we had a dry weekend. Then got the usual less than 48hr notice that the patio fences will be painted this weekend so no have to move everything to the center of the patio. So after an 11hour workday I get to go home and do more work moving everything.

Sounds like a fun ride. I just looked it up. Looks like a plane from Indiana Jones. Did the pilot have a whip and a cool hat and a fear of snakes?

Last Saturday I took a ride in a 97 year old Ford Tri Motor plane at the Toledo air show. My brother in law has never flown before so we seen that plane was offering rides and signed up. Was an interesting experience, I should have worn earplugs though as it was extremely loud. The airshow was pretty cool aside from the owner of the only P51 Mustang that showed up didn't put it on display after it flew. I really wanted to get close to it to check it out as it's my favorite plane. I got a bad sunburn unfortunately, been dealing with that the past week.
Yesterday we hit the annual neighborhood sale. I scored a mechanic/detailer seat for $5, just needs new wheels and I'm going to put a new seat on it. Scored some star trek books and other things too.

Tough day for me yesterday. The guy who killed my daughter in the head on collision was sentenced. I'd rather not give details but thanks again for all your support. Hard to believe it's been almost 2 years now.

The original DeLoreans were manufactured in Northern Ireland, and only about 9,000 were made before the company went bankrupt. The company that now owns the name is the DeLorean Motor Company in Humble, TX. They acquired the remaining parts inventory and now supply parts and do restorations. Back in 2022, they announced a new electric car called the Alpha5, which is also designed by Italdesign Giugiaro, and shares some styling cues with the original DMC-12. It doesn't seem to have made it into production yet.
A British company called Electrogenic produce an EV conversion kit for the DMC-12 which offers 150 miles of range and a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds.

There's a company, I think in Texas, that has restarted production of the Delorean DMC1 after a stash of parts were found. I read about it in car and driver or motor trend and I remember the price of the new ones was a bit much . Another company is retrofitting electric motors into old Deloreans. At a local Cars and Coffee show last October a trio of Deloreans showed up, one had over 300,000 miles. The owner daily drives it.

Spike reacted to Meadowmufn in Dating advice
My parents were married 67 years, just a few months shy of 68 years when dad passed. They got married at 19 (mom) and 21 (dad). I've been married almost 23 years. My oldest sister celebrates anniversary #32 this year and my other sister will celebrate #26 later this year. So, my advice would be to find someone who's been married a long time and get advice from them! Because whatever my mom and dad were doing right, it seemed to rub off on us kids.
My mom always told me that the key to a long marriage was.... 2 tv sets. And for the record, all of us kids have more than 1 tv set.

Rose of Sharon is always a beautiful plant.
Been doing a lot of spring cleaning in the past 24 hours, you’d be amazed the stuff you can haul out of storage, that you probably forgot you had! LOL..

Spike reacted to RogerDuke in HazzardNet Battle of the Episodes Winner!
Sorry to be difficult but if One Armed Bandits beat the Ghost of GL in the semi finals and Days of Shine and Roses beat Carnival of Thrills in the semi finals, shouldn't they be in the Finals?
