Well here in Ohio the governor basically said Shelter in place which started midnight this morning. My wife's work is one of the business's not shutting down because they are making some kind of doohickey for Hospitals though after they fill their latest order the boss might shut it down for a week or two. We've taken some time off working for my cousin since one of the businesses we clean the employees travel all over the world and we just don't feel safe cleaning the offices at this time. Saturday we had to go to 4 stores just to fill this week's grocery list The last stores that were open for 24 hours in town finally scaled back their hours to just 12 hours a day to mitigate the panic buying. Sad part is even though stores are limiting certain products to 1 or 2 per customer people are still finding ways around that by either going in multiple times or using their kids or hitting all the stores for the same product. I was chatting with one store employee when we were waiting in line for the store to open and we were talking about the milk panic buying the other day and one of the panic buyers happened to chime in saying they needed all that milk for their business, then it got kind of ugly with the crowd so the topic got changed to calm things down. Hopefully with this shut in order maybe the stores can restock their shelves. Stay safe and Healthy everyone. Thank god we all have Hazzard county to escape too every once and a while.

God knows why but they will be airing this on FS1 instead of Fox , the local Fox affiliate just airs either infomercials all day or some stupid movies I've never heard of so it's not like they don't have the free airtime.

It may not be the real thing but at least it will take our minds off of things for a while https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/17/dale-jr-kyle-busch-denny-hamlin-kyle-larson-nascar-drivers-to-take-part-in-iracing-pro-invitational-series/ just hope Fox or NBC picks up the broadcasting.

You know TDOH was mentioned on the Dale Jr download podcast last week https://www.dirtymomedia.com/dalejrdownload/episode/1c5c6bc2/288-ken-schrader-the-best-week-ever. I haven't slept much this week. Now the wife and I are quarantining ourselves from the doom and gloom news, we just watch about an hour of the news throughout the day. Before bed we try to find sitcoms either on the retro tv channels or streaming apps to try and clear our heads before bedtime. We found out yesterday that our part time 2nd job might be closing for a few weeks or more, we'll find out for sure tomorrow. Wife's work is also talking about closing for a few weeks so looks like we might be without an income till the lawns grow here. Is the panic buying in the rural grocery stores as bad as it is in the city ones? The other day people were buying cart loads of milk. I can understand 3 gallons but if you buy more than that and don't drink it all it's just going to spoil unless you have a big family. Bread shelves are still bare here along with soup, water and sugary juices etc... Stay happy and healthy y'all

Growing up in a not so safe neighborhood where you locked your doors and put 2x4's above opening windows it still astounds me that people leave doors unlocked and stuff in their vehicles. I remember the first overnight trip the wife and I took to a small nearby town. The B&B we stayed at left the doors unlocked 24/7 and even kept the back door open all night. I shut the door when I got up to use the bathroom overnight and got chastised the next morning by the owner . Though recently that small town has been hit with a rash of burglaries and car break ins so I bet to the residents there lock the doors now.

It's official Nascar schedule postponed till May 3rd https://m.nascar.com/news-media/2020/03/16/nascar-schedule-update-statement-race-coronavirus/

Looking like there won't be any Nascar race till May at the earliest. A lot of states are banning large gatherings for the next 4-8 weeks. Some, like Ohio, have even gone as far as forcing closure of restaurants and bars. If you didn't see it some Nascar drivers and crew did an Iracing race yesterday streamed live on Twitch called the Replacements 100 https://www.enascar.com/news-media/2020/03/15/team-penskes-josh-williams-wins-star-studded-replacements-100-race/ and I read there's talk of them doing one every Sunday till the real racing starts up again. I was gonna buy a Nascar game for my PS3 but dang all the local stores are sold out, guess everybody got the racing itch lol.

People should quarantine themselves from social media. I've read so much BS in the past 24 hours. Sad part is some people believe some of the crap. Has common sense been bred out of the majority of the population?!! Wife and I stopped at the grocery store yesterday after we got done with work and it seems to things have calmed down a little bit. Finished buying almost everything that was on our usual shopping list. Seems bread is now the hot commodity of the moment as it is sold out at every store and every time it is restocked there's a mad rush. Geuss there was almost a riot over toilet paper Saturday afternoon at that store because managers put a 2 package per person limit. Employee we have befriended told us that one of the managers came close to calling the police. She said people calmed down after hearing the p word. Stay healthy, and if you need a good laugh I recommend finding Billy Gardell's Halftime either on Amazon or one of the streaming apps. It is hilarious and had us laughing the whole 70 minutes.

https://m.nascar.com/news-media/2020/03/13/nascar-statement-on-atlanta-miami-race-events/ I was looking forward to this race to escape from all this insanity. F1 has postponed races till the end of May. IMSA has postponed races till May. NHRA has postponed the Gator Nationals this weekend, haven't decided on future events yet.

Building Cooter's junkyard- Need some suggestions!
Spike replied to Mark B / Scooter Davenport's topic in Fan Art
Cooter's Chevelle. Probably a Ford and GMC pickup for spare parts for the tow truck. Couple of Dodge Monaco's and Plymouth fury's for repairing the patrol cars. A few Jeep's, a van or two and Ford sedans. -
If it isn't yet then let me warn you go grocery shopping and get yourself some food while you still can because this insanity will probably spread to every city and small town. We went shopping at 6am this morning and I've never seen store shelves so bare. All the soup was gone, hamburger meat, fish, chicken, roast, ribs, ham, turkey etc... you name it the store was sold out of it. Luckily they got a few trucks in overnight with milk and eggs and cereal and some other food. If you didn't get your pet food yet better do it. Just talked to my dad a few minutes ago and he told me people are now hoard buying pet food here, glad I grabbed some cat food this morning. This is so freaking nuts, my God people are acting like the world is ending. It's just a virus, sure it's a nasty little one but it's still just a virus and humanity has survived worse.

Nascar has joined all the other sports organizations and postponed the Atlanta and Homestead races. Indycar today announced all races in March and April have been cancelled. Which also means Jimmie Johnson will not be testing an indycar. F1 also cancelled the Australian Grand Prix.

Since stores are out of toilet paper here people are hoarding water and food now. It is insane here. As I drove by grocery stores this morning on the way to work I noticed the parking lots were full to capacity. My dad went to the local Sam's club tonight and said the shelves were empty except for non food items like clothes and electronics. What all these lemmings don't realize is all this panic buying is doing is putting a strain on the supply system.

Congrats Roger. Be sure to find a hobby that takes up some of your time or if you have grandkids spend more time with them. Wife and I went to the Toledo zoo the other day. I'm guessing one of the workers there wears a coat like the one I wore as a lot of animals kept coming up to their enclosures like I was going to feed them . When we walked up to the meerkat exhibit a group of them walked up and stood there looking at me and chirping away. Almost seen the giraffe's go xxx, male was tiring himself out chasing the female around . They finally finished renovating the 2nd oldest building they have, they really knocked it out of the park. Building now has a 2 story rainforest conservatory with a few tropical birds and hummingbirds and butterfly's flying around it, some tropical frogs on the ground so you definitely have to watch your step. They must have at least a 100 different plant species in there as well. In another part of the building they have an exhibit full of animal skeletons and heads and furs for kids to touch and feel along with hundreds of dead bugs on display. In another part is a small live amphibian/reptile section and bug section and a small aquarium section. In the Main hall they have prehistoric creatures of North America; Mastodon, Woolly Mammoth, Sabre tooth Tiger, American Lion, Short Faced Bear and an extinct species of Moose. We spent almost 3 hours in that building and didn't even realize it there is just so much to see in there now and we didn't even see it all as there were a few rooms closed off still.

I think it's being a bit blown out of proportion but it's definitely not something to take lightly either. Give your immune system a boost by drinking and eating healthy, if you don't like pomegranates than drink some Pom juice as that stuff has alot of antioxidants. It's unfortunate that were already to the point of stores having to limit purchases of some items because of hoarders and scumbags trying to make a quick buck.

I'm sure a push up bra helped in a few episodes. I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed either

NW Ohio. By the time the snow was done we got 4 inches on the grass but on the pavement we just had barely an inch. Of course with the warm temps we had over the weekend all the snow has melted. Did manage to get to a local park and take several snow pics though. I'm glad I don't live here though https://www.today.com/home/lake-erie-homes-completely-encased-ice-after-storm-t174944 that's just crazy. Well looks like the company that made the Trail Camera won't back up the warranty I contacted them again and got the same automated reply. Really ticks me off though I guess I shouldn't be surprised since some of the reviews I've read recently it looks like others have had same issues with contacting the company about warranty claims. Sucks that it's owned by a fishing/hunting conglomerate with several brands that are now on my Never Buying Again list. I see Febreeze now makes Air Freshener sprays for men, while shopping the other day the wife pointed out the new scents. One is Wood; has a mixture of Cedar, Oud & Amber, it's quite a pleasant wood smell and it doesn't hang in the air forever like some air fresheners do. The other scent is Forest which is supposed to smell like a rain forest I guess but it's another pleasant smell.

Here's the latest news on the Next Gen Cup Car https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/02/william-byron-austin-dillon-joey-logano-erik-jones-nascar-nextgen-test-auto-club-speedway-fontana/ https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/02/nascar-pit-stop-single-lug-nut-change-from-five-lug-nuts-2021-season-john-probst/ https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/03/william-byron-chad-knaus-next-gen-car-test-auto-club-speedway/ Yet they are dropping 4 lugnuts Don't see no cars on the road with just one lug nut except ones with very shaky rides lol. Looks like several people will be without a job come the day after the final race this season as teams will no longer need Chassis builders or the ones that build the bodies. If any of you guys are interested in seeing what racing with the next gen car will be like I recommend checking out a V8 Supercars race or two, you can find several videos on youtube. From what I've read it sounds like that is the most similar current race car at the moment, they have 1 lug wheels, sequential transmissions and v8's; major difference is they have the steering wheel on the right side. Tony Stewart is climbing back behind the wheel of an Xfinity car this July 4th weekend for the Indy road course race https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/04/tony-stewart-indianapolis-motor-speedway-nascar-xfinity/ I'm looking forward to this race Next years Busch Clash will be run on the Road Course at Daytona https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/03/04/daytona-speedweeks-schedule-2021-busch-clash-moves-to-road-course/ Wonder if we'll see more cars finish than this years Clash.

CB radios on TDOH
Spike replied to Mark B / Scooter Davenport's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
I have that Lunch Box too -
If any of you guys have a trail cam I suggest checking it regularly. I was checking mine this morning as I had put it out on the patio to see what animal has been nosing around the planters, when I grabbed it i noticed that it was warm even though the temps over night was about 30 degrees F. When I brought it in I couldn't get it to turn off so I could check the memory card so I thought that it might be due to the weather so I set it on the table and ate breakfast. After breakfast I grabbed it again only this time it was Hot and smelled like burning wires so I got the batteries out and the sd card and put it outside just in case it started to burn. So I guess I'll be shopping for a new trail camera unless the company sends me a replacement but their first correspondence didn't instill confidence that they will honor the warranty. Saturday while we were out and about running errands we witnessed a guy dump his just bought motorcycle while trying to go around railroad gates. He apparently didn't want to wait the few minutes for a locomotive to cross and while trying to navigate around the gates gave it to much throttle and fishtailed, overcorrected and fell. He was uninjured thanks to the helmet he just bought with the bike but both the bike and helmet suffered damage. The bike dealership was right next to the train tracks so the guy didn't even make it 50 ft before he wrecked it. The salesman told us he was going to ride it home since it was such a nice day. Maybe he should rethink his purchase and sell the bike after he has it repaired even though he will probably lose money on it. If you ride be safe. Forgot to mention... Yesterday the local tv weathermen said we were about to get the most snowfall this season with the winter storm today omg the sky is falling blah blah blah. This morning they changed their tune to we might see 4 inches of snow at most over the next 36 hours . Second time this month they got everybody riled up that we were going to get slammed with snow only to be hit with a few inches.
