I raced that track in a sim a few times. Very unique and interesting track. I was sad to hear that it closed a few years ago. Well don't think Dodge will be making a return to Nascar. The Charger and Challenger final production year will be 2024. According to industry rumors it will also be the death of the V8 muscle car at Dodge as their next 'muscle car' will be electric. Another rumor making the rounds is since Ford, GM, Dodge and other manufacturers are doing away with cars is that Nascar might move towards either SUV or truck body's for racing. SUV's racing the Daytona 500, I just can't picture that. I can see Nascar making the truck series the top series with full size trucks and Xfinity series running midsize trucks.

Woohoo mowing season is over. My right arm and shoulder is sore. One mower was being stubborn and not wanting to start then stay running long. Think it was due to the cold 40 degrees temperature Saturday and lousy 15% ethanol gas. Think I'll run some seafoam in it next year when I do the maintenance on it. It really sucks for Brandon Brown that a bunch of drunk idiots and the reporter had to ruin his victory celebration. I know she was just doing her job in trying to deflect from what the idiots where saying but unfortunately she blew it and now his name is synonymous with that meme.

From what i understand Spire negotiated the price. Testing is under way at Charlotte with the next gen car. Day one seen Austin Dillon wreck And a few driver's spinout apparently due to morning dew on the track in turns 1 & 2. Ryan Blaney ran the best lap in Day one testing, Brad Keselowski 2nd, William Byron 3rd, Erik Jones 4th and Ty Dillon 5th. In the final hour of testing today teams will practice pitting. These millennials or gen Z's or whatever they want to be called are something else. You call them out on their BS and sometimes their only comeback is to continually make fun of you. I called one of them out for using 'Karen' as a slur and how it's offensive to all the nice, decent people named Karen and their reply was "your Mama's named Karen lol". I corrected them and got a similar reply so obviously not debating with an adult brain there. They throw fits about bullying yet they feel it's ok to bully everyone with the name Karen .

The worst earworms are songs you don't even like that you hear in store's. Well we bought a new TV over the weekend. Apparently me taking the wife to Best Buy last weekend and checking out TV's got her to want to upgrade our decade old Toshiba. After a bunch or research we settled on a Sony X90J. Wow what a difference. After setting it up which was a PITA with just the picture reference manual, if your tv maker put a video on YouTube about unboxing and setup watch it, it's so much more informative than the crappy manual they put in the box. I turned on the Browns vs Patriots game and wow in just factory settings the picture quality was amazing. And channel reception with an antenna is astounding. With the old Toshiba I had to fiddle with the antenna at least once every few weeks. With the Sony I just plugged the cable in and auto tuned it and it got all 30 local OTA channels, no fussing or moving the antenna. Signal strength is about 50% on all the channels at the moment and there is no dropping or delay. With the Toshiba 50% signal meant you weren't going to watch that channel. The nosey busy body neighbors watched our every move over the weekend with the tv. The one about fell on her butt watching us carry it in. They need to get a life. Ever since the one neighbor persuaded the others to spy on us, they watch our every move. It gets really annoying after a while. That's one of the reasons why we got a Ring doorbell camera. Had our first measurable snow yesterday, 1.03 inches. One of the latest 1st snows of the season we had they said on the local news.

The backup camera I think was mandated for 2018 and newer. People are worse drivers because of it, instead of looking behind them they just look at the screen. Depending on the vehicle and camera sometimes it only shows up to 4 feet behind the vehicle. I like my simple 2002 Saturn. Only downside is parts are getting harder to find and more expensive. Heard a thump at our door last night. Opened the door and found another dang package from Amazon addressed to someone else. Seen the Amazon driver in the parking lot still so I walked it over too him and told him "wrong address".

Yeah I think he had something to prove . At least the best driver and team won this year unlike last year. Not knocking Chase Elliott's championship but Kevin Harvick should have been the champ last year.

Learned something new about tire pressure monitor sensors yesterday... they not only monitor tire pressure they also let the air out of your tires once they wear out. $75 dollars for what is basically a smart Schrader valve, without the stupid sensor the valve would've been just a couple bucks charge. Thank you Ford and Firestone for pushing the government to force automakers to put these in every vehicle since 2008. I read yesterday that by 2026 automakers will have to put in anti drunk driving technology in vehicles so your next new vehicle will most likely have a breathalyzer in it.

Yesterday was fun. "Helped"(as in I did all the work) my dad put plastic up over his windows. His helpless I can't do anything alone act is going to drive me to . God knows if I don't "help" him he tattle's to my uncle . He either acts as helpless as a newborn baby or stands there and tells me I'm doing it wrong. And let me tell ya when he starts that crap it's really hard to hold the birdie from coming out of the nest. When I finally got home the wife's car had a flat tire. Pumped it up to 5lbs over so I could drive it to the tire shop to drop it off so they can fix it some time today. Didn't get to enjoy the almost summer like weather yesterday. Today I was going to take care of some of the rust spots on my car but the wife had to take it so guess that will have to wait till next spring unless it gets above 60 degrees again before winter sets in.

We usually buy DVD's and bluray's during black Friday sales as they are usually 50% off, in fact that's how I got all the DoH seasons.

To Kyle Larson capped off an amazing season by winning his 10th race, 11 if you count the All Star race, and the Cup Championship. The Hendrick cars had the speed early in the runs but faded on long runs between pitstops and that's where the Gibbs cars mainly Martin Truex Jr's car came to life. Kevin Harvick and Ryan Blaney also had strong cars each leading multiple laps. Caution came out with around 30 laps to go when overheated brakes on David Starr's car literally exploded and everyone pitted. Kyle Larson's pitcrew earned their paycheck by getting him out 1st and he kept the lead from a hard charging Martin Truex Jr. This is the 14th Championship for Hendrick Motorsports which leads in overall Championships but is still 5 race wins short of Petty Enterprise's 268 race wins. This is one heckuva comeback story for Kyle Larson who you may remember was blackballed for saying a slur in an online video game race last year. Some crybaby's still say he hasn't earned his redemption because he didn't get thrown in the worst Cup Car for a season or two before getting a top tier ride again like the path to redemption Kurt Busch had to do. Speaking of Kurt Busch he once again shown how much he has matured by anonymously bidding on Anthony Alfredo's pink window net to gift it to Anthony's mother. Brad Keselowski and Penske toasted each other in post race interviews, Brad using the glass from his 2012 championship. Rick Ware Racing managed to not finish last in Owner points among Chartered teams so gets to keep their Charters for 2022, still unknown if they will run a 4 car team next year or consolidate and sell off two charters. Starcom Racing finished last in points but sold their Charter already. Silly season should really heat up now and I'll post updates when I see them.

Thanks Roger and Hobie. Hazzard family is the greatest family What a strange Black Friday sales month it is this year. Sales start and end on weird days until they go back on sale for Black Friday. This tv I was going to get had a price drop for the past 2 weeks but as of midnight price went back up for no rhyme or reason. Salesman I talked to at Best Buy yesterday when I went to see the tv in person thought the price would stay the same through Black Friday but he also said some of the sales ended on weird days like Thursday's this year. He also couldn't guarantee that price drops before Black Friday would come back for the Black Friday sale. Oh well guess a new TV wasn't in the cards this year.

One of my Aunt's passed away yesterday . She was as much a smart aleck as I was and when we got together we ribbed each other as much as possible , the only Aunt I could do that with, heck the only family member I could do that with without hurting anybody's feelings. I remember this one time we were impersonating each other and cracking jokes and Grandma/her mom yelled "you two are so terrible to each other" and we both cracked up laughing and Grandma said "I'm being serious not funny" which made us laugh even more . Man I'm going to miss that.
