Ooo, interesting thread! I listen to music too when I write, tho' more often than not I have a soundtrack for a paticular story, as opposed to a soundtrack or playlist for a paticular character. Often the soundtrack will have a song that fits a character...within the context of the story. The most recent story I completed, Southern Cross: Crossfire had the following selections... Crossfire Tightrope Rough Boy Rainy Night in Georgia It's in the Way That You Use It Captain of Her Heart Touch and Go Eminence Front That's the Way a Cowboy Rocks 'n Rolls Fire (Arthur Brown. "I am the God of Hellfire! And I bring you..." LOL) Some songs fit the story (some are actually IN the story, "Rainy Night in Georgia" and Arthur Brown's "Fire.") Others were just good background music to write to, put me a zone.
