  1. Simon MacCorkindale, known better by Dukes fans as the conman that assumed the identity of cousin Gaylord Duke, as passed away. He was 58. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/16/arts/television/16maccorkindale.html It was nice of the NY Times to note Mr. MacCorkindale's appearance on the Dukes of Hazzard. Unforutnately they refer to the "Duke brothers" as opposed to the Duke cousins.
  2. Guess we can forget about that open fire for roasting those chestnuts...
  3. I dunno what that makes Doc, but I think my blood sugar level just shot over 200 reading all that sweet stuff. Eggnog, cookies, sugar plums! Raisinets! GAAAHH!! It's pretty obvious I can't write to Nasty, since I have this image to maintain and all...
  4. (I was glad to see the miners all freed too. I watched as they brought the last one up. What a great sight to see! Now, despite that...) *looks up from desk full of paper clips* Huh? Oh, you talkin' to me...? Free Chet? Are you kiddin'? He trashed my jail. He will pay a bail or restitution of some sort. Brian too. Or they'll be released once they've served time. The two of them would kill each other if they wrote a story together, so I think that's gonna be out. But if the original bail conditions can't be met then I'm open to suggestions for alternatives. Otherwise, I figure to keep y'all locked up until the end of the year. I should have my paper clip train done by then....
  5. You mean like that freaky chick that wore a uniform and used to trip the cord? She was WEIRD!!
  6. Oh man, yes! One of my old cell phones had a Dixie ring tone and naturally, I had it as mine. Khee!!
  7. The scene at the Boar's Nest in "Ghost of General Lee" when Rosco's telling Jesse what hapepned is the one that kills me. In "Too Many Rosco's" when Enos picks up Flash in the booking room and starts snivling, that does me in too. *sniff!* Waaaahhhhh!!!!!
  8. Fly Me to the Moon - Frank Sinatra
  9. Keep at it! Edited: Wait a second. LOL. I just looked at your ff.net profile. You've written quite a few stories, girl! (I know, other fandoms but still.... ) LOL
  10. More great pics! I just watched the vid too, that was great! I agree also on the "art" comment. It is fine art, indeed!
  11. ROFL. Funny you should ask! I'm hoping to post up the next chaper later this week. Stay tuned!
  12. LostintheDukes already said this, but it's worth repeating. That man has just gotten better with age. Very sad about his nephew.
  13. ROFL! You don't outline either eh? Khee! I don't outline but I usually have something in mind for my ending. Then I just kinda let the muses go wherever, occasionally rein 'em back in, sometimes write myself into a corner, bust out of said corner, skip over large parts of the story, then go back and patch it, finish it, polish it and post it! It's a wonder I ever finish a fic. LOL
  14. It's called bein' in-cog-neat-o. :)

  15. Now there's a rare sight! The General Lee in snow!
  16. Month....old...deer sausage?! Damn, that'll inspire anyone.... preferably to not do that again! LOL Follow the inspiration, Val. (Just keep a check on the freshness of the venison, 'k?)
  17. When You're Hot, You're Hot! - Jerry Reed
  18. Your other favorite saying is "buzzards on a buzz saw!" You giggle like Rosco sometimes (guilty! ROFL)
  19. Oh, nobody special. I needed more Feds in Atlanta.
  20. Great photos! Mercedes has nothin' on the General Lee.
  21. BoJames, ya hit it right on the head. The "loopholes" and what authors do with those loopholes, and the fact that nobody can really critize you for attempting to fill in the backstory or take the characters in a particular direction is what sets us apart from some other fandoms, I think. I can't say I've ever really seen anyone bash another writer around here for creating a storyline that attempts to fill in that backstory of the Duke family (and storylines that take them beyond what we saw between 1979 and 1985. LOL). There's many possibilities and it's interesting to see what people come up with. There's a different atmosphere and collective mentality here. It's more positive and encouarging. We don't trash each other's characters, or storylines. We try to give honest constructive feedback. We did have that blow up about the RRs but only because we care about what we put out there. I've written stories in a couple of other fandoms but I always come home to Hazzard. (And in the case of one of the other fandoms I brought somebody back with me. ROFL)
