*inside the booking room, MaryAnne hears the voice in the hallway. Hollars back* You've found her!
-
*down the hall outside the Game Warden's office, MaryAnne saw BL as she headed out of the courthouse. MaryAnne walked back to the booking room and went down stairs to check on Chet* *The big Duke was still pretty well under the influence of the tranquilizer and still on the floor of his cell. The cell door was locked. Satisfied Chet was where he was supposed to be, MaryAnne returned upstairs* *She decided to remain in the booking room. Since somebody stole Chet's horse, she didn't want somebody to steal Chet too* *Besides, she figured when somebody was ready to talk to her, they'd know where to find her*

*back at the courthouse, MaryAnne returned to the booking room. She went up to the booking desk and picked up the tranquilizer gun to put it aside. She stopped, however, and looked at it.* *Brian was out there somewhere, planning God knew what and probably risking further injury to himself in the process. She was sure, as long as Chet was in jail, she would meet up with her cousin again at some point.* *She thought of an idea.* *She took the gun and left the booking room, going down the hall to the Game Warden's office. It only took a few minutes for MaryAnne to prepare a couple of more tranquilizer darts. She loaded one into the gun and tucked the other one into a special casing, then slipping it into the front pocket of her uniform shirt.* *Chet's wrath had been brutal and if bars had not seperated him from her, MaryAnne was sure she would've been seriously injured.* *Brian's wrath could be brutal too, if it got to that point. But MaryAnne wasn't worried about her cousin's wrath hurting her. She was more worried about him hurting himself further* *MaryAnne slipped the tranquilizer gun inside her gunbelt, opposite the hip where her .38 was holstered.* *It was times like these when she really hated wearing a badge...*

*Leaving Chet still locked up in his wrecked jail cell and in a subdued state from the tranquilizer, MaryAnne left the courthouse and walked across the square toward Chance’s clinic* *She slowed as she approached. Diablo was gone. And the place seemed exceptionally quiet* *MaryAnne ascended the stairs and went into the clinic. She stood at the doorway to the exam room and found the two tables were empty. Brian, Garrett, Alex…the Duke boys. Everybody was gone* *She walked into the empty room and approached the table where Brian had been. She touched the cut piece of handcuff that was still locked to the bedrail and frowned. That damn fool…. She let go of the cuff with a clatter and turned, walking out of the room and exiting the clinic*

Congratulations Pendragon!

*MaryAnne watched uneasily, hoping the tranquilizer would be enough to take the big Duke down. It does and when Chet finally collapses to the floor, she breathes a sigh of relief.* *He'd be out for awhile, giving MaryAnne some time to collect herself and get over to the clinic to check on Brian* *All in all, it was turning out to be a hell of a day...and things were only just getting started...*
-
*doesn't flinch at the look of fury coming from Chet. Maintains the gaze and raises the gun* That's right. And excellent way to ensure everyone's safety... *takes a quick step up to the cell and aims for Chet's left leg, pulling the trigger. The tranquilizer dart leaves the gun and impales itself into Chet's leg. It will take only moments for the tranquilizer to kick in, even if Chet pulls the dart from his leg* *steps back quickly and watches*
-
*hears the crashing of things against the bars and steps off the last step, walking into the cell area. Holds up the tranquilizer gun as Chet continues his destruction of the cell. The burned sheet is still on the floor near the singed chair. The cell area looks like a warzone...* *stands in front of the cell, but back far enough to not be hit by any debris.* AWRIGHT, CHET! I've had just about enough of you... *aims the dart gun at the Duke* (Freeze frame. TO BE CONTINUED. I know me and my famous cliffhangers... LOL)
-
*with dart gun in hand, returns to the booking room. Hears another round of destruction being done to the cell downstairs. With gun held at the ready, begins to descend the stairs...*
-
*the fire alarm is still blaring through out the building. MaryAnne hurries out of the booking room to the hallway and goes down it and around a corner to find the fire alarm box. Takes a key from her gunbelt, opens the box and punches buttons until the alarm is finally silenced* *returns to the booking room, in time to hear the tail end of Chet's tirade and destruction downstairs. When things go quiet, figures it's not a good thing. Thinks for a moment of someway to calm the beast....* *Suddenly inspired, MaryAnne turns and leaves the booking room, hurrying down the hall to the game warden's office. Enters the office and looks around.* *After a brief search, finds what she's looking for. The dart and vials of tranquilzer are placed on Val's desk. A dart gun is found as well. Recalls watching Val load one of these guns once and finds a sheet with dosage amounts based on weight.* *Prepares the dart, injecting the tranquilzer into it. Loads the dart into the gun, a pistol styled weapon and caps it* *It was the only chance she had to calm the beast....*
-
*Had only gone as far as the hallway outside the booking room when the fire alarm started wailing. Spins around and runs back to the booking room, up the few steps and to the door that leads to the downstairs cells.* *the smell of smoke hits MaryAnne half way down the stairs. She turns and runs back up to grab a fire extinguisher in the booking room. Runs back down the stairs and into the cell area. Sees the fire on the floor and catching to a chair. Sprays the fire extinguisher on the fire, the white foam battling back the flames. After a few moments the fire goes out, but to make sure, blasts it a few more seconds* *The fire out, turns to face Chet, standing in his destroyed cell, still locked up. Still cuffed. Thoroughly annoyed now, turns the fire extinguisher on him and blasts him through the bars with the fire extinguisher* Keep it up, Chet. *growls* Just keep it up... *stares him down for several long seconds, then turns and storms up the stairs*
-
*stops at the stairs and spins back around. Approaches the cell, blue eyes focused intensely on the young Duke* You've got a hell of a lot of nerve. You almost killed my cousin. If I let you out of here, the roof will blow off this entire county! I'm trying to prevent the bloodbath. So you can just sit there, face the reality and deal with it! *spins away from the cell and storms up the stairs*
-
Yeah *frowns, seeing things were just going to get more difficult from here on out* That'd be my theory. *looks at Chet* I'll find the horse, Chet. It was impounded property, I have to find it. *turns and heads for the stairs*
-
*hands Chet the coffee throught the bars. After he places it down on the cot, hands him the biscuits and a napkin through the bars. She debated telling him about his missing horse, but figured he'd find out about it eventually, he might as well know now* Your horse is missing. Somebody took him during the night.
-
*MaryAnne returned to town in the morning and went to check on Chet's horse first....which she found was gone. The only evidence of the horse having ever been there to begin with was...well, guess.* *She stood with one hand on her hip, looking at the mess on the grass and shook her head* Hoby Gilman never had problems like these... *Inside the courthouse, she stopped at the booking desk and drafted up a quick APB. Whoever had stolen the horse was going to face some serious charges, as the animal had by all accounts been impounded by the Sheriff's department, since it had been used in an assault against another person. She was also fairly sure that the punishment for horse theiving in Hazzard hadn't changed since the 1800s. Unfortunately, Hazzard County no longer had a gallows...* *After sending out the APB, she gathered up a cup of coffee and a couple of biscuits and went down stairs to check on Chet and bring him some breakfast.* Got some breakfast for ya, Chet... *she held up the cup of coffee and small plate of biscuits*

*smirks right back* No, Chet. I leave the place completely unguarded. I'm gonna go hand Alex a bazooka and tell him to come right on over here. Of course I protect my prisoners! Why do you think I went through all the hassle to toss your butt in here? I'll deal with Brian and Alex. If I have to, I can have the cell upstairs fixed and toss the both of them right back in there again. Thing is, I won't have any peace in this jail if I do that. So instead I'm gonna be trying to find a way to resolve this mess.

Yes folks, Chet Duke is in jail for vehicular assualt with a horse. Amongst other crimes as committed in the Arrest Brian Coltrane! thread. He's really living up to this whole outlaw thang ain't he? Previously, in our ongoing saga, after being placed in jail and managing to shift is hand cuffed hands from behind him to infront of him, Deputy MaryAnne Coltrane checked up on her prisoner.... *she was more than surprised to see Chet standing, pacing and with his arms now infront of him, his wrists still cuffed. It was amazing enough she had hefted the 200 plus pound Duke into the back of her patrol car. How the heck he maneuvered his arms around himself was beyond her* Well. I dunno how the hell you did that without dislocatin' a shoulder or something but if you get any crazy ideas to try to bust out of this jail you better forget about it... ...Because I don't take too kindly when folks escape from my jail... (And the saga continues!)

*meanwhile, upstairs from the jail cells, MaryAnne tended to some various police business and filing of some reports. After about a half an hour, she went downstairs to check on her prisoner* *she was more than surprised to see Chet standing, pacing and with his arms now infront of him, his wrists still cuffed. (To Be Continued....in the Arrest Chet Duke! thread....)

The first one here is fine... *grabs keys off the wall and goes to the first cell, unlocking the door. Pushes it open to allow the boys to carry Chet in and place him, face down on the cot since his arms are cuffed behind his back* *once the Bo and Luke exit the cell, shuts the door and locks it* There. Thank ya fellas, I appreciate it. *smiles*
-
Bring 'em inside, to the cells down stairs, since the holding cell is busted. *heads toward the stairs and up to the doors of the courthouse to hold the door open to allow the boys to carry Chet inside*
-
*watches at Bo and Luke heft Chet out of the car, gives a snort* He ain't that heavy. I managed to get him into the car ya know.. *chuckles*
-
*gives a snort* Yeah, usually. Heh... *glances toward Luke and waves for him to come along too and provide some assistance* *leads the boys out of the clinic and across the square to her patrol car. Opens the back door where Chet's still sprawled on the backseat of the cruiser.* I had to whack him with my gun handle *says to explain Chet's unconcious state* He's cuffed so be careful hauling him out.
-
I found Chet. I got him in my patrol car but I need a little help getting him into the jail. Will you give me a hand?
-
*MaryAnne held onto the reins with her left hand out of the open patrol car window and drove slowly into town with Blaze following along side. At the courthouse, she stopped and the horse did as well. She got out of the car, lead the horse over to the front stairs of the courthouse and the lawn and wrapped the reins over the railing of the stairs* There. Good boy... *pats the horse on its neck and offers it another cube of sugar* Now I gotta git your silly cowboy into the jail. Wish me luck. *the horse nickers in response and MaryAnne walks across the loan and heads across the square toward the clinic* *inside, she peers into the exam room and sees Doc tending to Garrett and Brian appearing to be resting comfortably. She looks to Bo and whispers to get his attention* Psst! Bo!

I think a lot of people feel strongly about this and have for many years. There's been attempts to rally about getting the cartoon series and "Enos" on DVD for at least the last ten years that I can recall. I had had hopes when the 7th season of the Dukes came out on DVD that WB would tuck the cartoons in with that. Or at least the three episodes of Enos that had Daisy, Jesse and Rosco in 'em. I seem to recall a rumor that if the Duke reunion movies did well on DVD when they were released last year that WB would consider putting Enos out on DVD. Haven't heard much beyond that. Then again, there might be copyright issues or contract issues that could be impeding the release of these shows. We have no way of knowing. Still, it's obvious that there's an audience out there that would buy these programs. If folks are buyin' the Dukes DVDs, you know they'll buy the cartoons and the Enos. If WB would just release the silly things so we could buy them!
