since slavery and all that was fought for by the people carrying the same flag.
THINK....poor white people fought and DIED for the Confederacy....WHY??? To help the rich white people that had slaves keep them???? Again...THINK.....The south is/was mainly agrarian ( farmers, farmland, etc.) When the poor white people raised crops and livestock, they kept some to survive and then took the rest to market, to sell, to get other things. The white ,rich fat cats, with their slaves, could work more land, produce more crops and livestock CHEAPER than the poor white farmers and thus, could sell more, and make more money and do it all at less cost! It was the 19th century version of Walmart vs. the mom and pop shops. And poor white people fought to keep this going on??? There were anti-slavery societies ( clubs dedicated to ending slavery) in America at this time. MOST of them were in the South!! I think the reason is obvious! The South, because the Yankees were screwing them out of their fair share ( 85% of the Feds income came from southern states!) finally decided enough was enough and were going to secede...A CONSTITUTIONALLY LEGAL RIGHT!! THE SOUTH WAS RIGHT AND THE NORTH WAS WRONG!!! The North won, however...so who writes the history? The winner! Who gets to lie about what REALLY happened??? See? When you're in the wrong, you make up excuses and try to cover your A! ( CYA!)

I'm just really down that they are casting a big shadow over the Dukes by making them look racist or anyone who likes the show. I'm not racist and hate the thought of someone thinking I am just because of a show. But I do see where people are coming from by associating the flag with it...even if that's not what it was intended to mean. If all that makes sense...
I don't care what anyone thinks...I KNOW what the flag means and I KNOW what the war was really about ( over taxing the South and not giving them their share....everything goes back to money....

I just saw where Amazon Prime is talking about taking The Dukes of Hazzard off of its streaming as well. . .
They continue to destroy our heritage.....it's all part of the plan!

King ( king Vitamin....have breakfast with the king....remember that one?.....first thing I thought of!)

-I liked that Bo was in the USMC Reserves because I was at the time too....Bo's hair wasn't short enough though.
I always thought the same thing! If he had cut it as short as they would have made him, it would still be short when he came back. It would take a long time to grow back that long!

We get a glimpse of Abe's driver's license which shows us that he and Boss are 5'5" tall, 200 lbs and were born on April 6, 1926
200 pounds??? NO WAY! He's closer to 300!

If you check your new 'The Dukes of Hazzard: The Unofficial Companion', you'll see that John was away filming the made-for-tv movie 'Dream House'. I seem to remember watching it a few years ago.
You know everything Hoss! WOW!!

I suppose we should be careful here since we're walking on thin ice regarding terms of service and what we can say. Sorry if I just challenged where the line is drawn.
At least we can be like Lee Greenwood said, proud to be Americans where at least we know we're free....right? Esp. free speech....right?

On second thought he doesn't look anything like Mclean Stevenson!

I'll be on the lookout too. Let me know if/when you find it!

One line I like in this episode is when Boss and Jesse are taking off on Boss' spending spree and Boss says, " I'm gonna live 'til I die!" That was a good line!

The repeated chasing around the square before they knock the door off the truck is the scene as they're leaving Springville (aka. Hazzard Square redressed) in 'Deputy Dukes'. The guy in the truck doesn't speak, so he isn't credited. Here he is:

The truck question is the same one that was driven by Swamp Molly a few episodes earlier.
I don't remember the scene with guy jumping from the outhouse, but they could've used the same actor. For some reason I think it was the episode with Molly Hargrove..??? Nah....I'm probably wrong! But I remember this guy that looked like him ( to me anyway) left the outhouse just before it was demolished by a car!

Oh man, this is the worst my lower back has hurt in a long time. I have to figure out someway to make my kayak more comfy. Of course it didn't help that I was hauling, splitting and stacking firewood for 5 hours after kayaking yesterday. I'm not doing anything physical today.
I hope you get to feeling better bud! My back gives me trouble all the time. I have Arthur in my spine and my Dr. isn't in this week!

Hey, you guys remember when this guy jumped out of the outhouse just before Rosco ( ?) hit it? Do you also remember when those crooks were chasing Bo/Luke and they kept going around and around the square and then he finally got into his truck and just before he closed his door the crooks hit it and knocked it off? I think he was the same guy. For some reason he reminds me of Mclean Stevens ( MASH). That's one of those characters that appeared briefly . I don't think he had a name though.
