What a shame that the show was cancelled. I watched the videos from previous years and he seems to go higher and longer each year.
I also looked through the 'Jump Car Build' photos - if you look at these it's easy to see the type of wrecks he starts out with. The one in the photos is a very battered/rusty '68 that gets just enough of a makeover to pass for a '69 from a distance.
After looking at the pictures on the website the only thing I'd query is the use of a 2-door Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler Neon as a patrol car. Surely bigger 4-doors like the other one pictured aren't in short supply are they?

OMG I've just watched this episode as well! Shows how little I pay attention LOL I have no idea, not even gonna guess
Looks like I caught everyone out with this one. To be fair, I wouldn't have remembered either - it's a lot easier setting questions than answering .
The answers were:
C) Heaven's Above &
F) Home In The Sky
See my version of this sign in the Fan Art section:
http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/showthread.php?p=188137#post188137
Hopefully today's question is a little easier - I'll post multiple choice if no-one gets it.
Q. In 'Welcome, Waylon Jennings', which late musician's motorcycle interested Bo and Luke in Waylon's traveling museum.
-
Here's my version of the Hazzard County Gospel Church sign. The screen grab is from 'Enos's Last Chance', but the sign can be seen in other episodes.

I'll leave these up until Sunday to give everyone a chance to guess them over the weekend.
-
I'm afraid neither of those is right Roger. I'll leave this one open until tomorrow to give y'all a bit longer.

MaryAnne, thanks for posting the new crosswords, but your link seems to have been truncated. The full link to the PDF versions is:

(Link appears the same in my post, but full link is used when you click).

BoJames got it right. I assume you guessed wrong first time, Roger. I was hoping a couple of French names might throw y'all. Gilles de Turenne was production manager on 2 episodes. I hope they kept a bottle of the champagne - it's the same vintage as me .
Another multiple choice for you now:
Q. In 'Enos's Last Chance', according to the Hazzard County Gospel Church sign, Rev. J.P. Frawley gave the sermon 'Moonshine vs. Milk', but which 2 hymns were on the sign?.
A) He Leadeth Me
Heavenly Sunlight
C) Heaven's Above
D) Old Time Religion
E) Victory Ground
F) Home In The Sky
G) Rock of Ages
H) How Great Thou Art
I) Angels Step Back
All the incorrect answers are genuine gospel hymns.

In 'Welcome, Waylon Jennings' Bo and Luke are discussing why Betty Jo doesn't trust them:
Luke: Well, you gotta look at it like this ... if you was in her place, you'd probably feel the same way about us.
Bo: If I was in her place, I'd probably feel the same way about you, but I'd dang sure trust me.
-
I don't think even Waylon would get away with some of his lines in these more politically correct times. There was a line in an episode I watched the other day about women drivers, and in 'Welcome, Waylon Jennings' when Betty Jo plants the homing device on the General he says:
'You know, she's awful slick for a woman ... wonder if she can type?.'
-
Thanks again to BoJames whose PM saved me typing the answers :
Minimises Loosing - Limo One Is Missing
I Anger Nanny – Granny Annie
Loosen Turbine - Enos In Trouble

Smokey Bear Raced Huge Lout - Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough (again!)
Lesser Truth - The Rustlers

Today's ones are:
Eyeballed Green Goo
Budget Lions
Hot Gunfight Aged John
Robbed Huge Skirt
A Baronet's Sherbets
Yacht Glee
Roasted Pair
One's Clubs
User Sedates Jerk
Garrett Broke Baby Hen

Ah ... Paddy's Day, the day when most of America suddenly remember a distant Irish ancestor so they can go out drinking .
To answer your question, it's a bank holiday here. Schools and most businesses are shut. Lots of drinking goes on, especially the black stuff. Being English I tried, unsuccessfully, to pursuade my employers to give me St. George's Day off. Alas, it's not even a holiday in England, and a lot of the English don't even know what day it is (23rd April) .

And there was I just about to ask if it would make the game hard if I pretend my favorite color (favourite colour!) is topaz?
-
Then you must be talking about Hogg's Heckcat (sorry for the slight alteration of the name...it's a family website) LOL
I think the name should be acceptable here if it was ok in the show - there was a WWII plane made by Grumman (the F6F) that shared its name. It succeeded the F4F Wildcat. I not going to mark you wrong for your 'slight alteration' .
It seems strange that they picked an 80s Chevy Malibu for Boss's car when most of the other races in Dukes had plenty of Mustangs, Camaros etc. that would have existed in this episode's mid 70s setting.
I've been a bit mean with the last couple of questions, so it's mutiple choice this time.
Q. In 'How to Succeed in Hazzard' what was the name of the champagne that Dewey Hogg was tricked with:
A) Chateau Neuf de Waldron 1970
Chateau Neuf de Turenne 1970
C) Chateau Neuf de Rose 1970
D) Chateau Neuf de Picard 1970
E) Chateau Neuf d'Amateau 1970

Hmmm, that's a toughie. It wasn't on "Happy Birthday General Lee" was it?
...or Dr Jekyl and Mr. Duke?
It was a very prominent vehicle in one of the episodes you mention.
-
Surely the boys don't need a class from the principal to teach them how to skip .
-
Now you're getting the hang of it MaryAnne. Thanks to BoJames for checking replies in my absence. BoJames has sent me the answers already - I'll let y'all keep guessing for a while before I post them.
-
I don't think it's included in the lyrics because they're talking and not singing. It's at the very end right after they mention the ugly stick if you're interested.
I should have listened all the way through - you're quite right of course, the line is there in the talky bit. Well remembered Roger.
-
I had to Google it - they only zip code I know is 90210 . Then again, my knowledge of UK postcodes is probably better than yours. Ireland doesn't have either, which seems to confuse some online vendors.
-
I'd never heard of that song, so I Googled it. The song you mentioned is 'When You're Ugly Like Us' which was a 1980 hit for George Jones and Hazzard celebrity speedtrap's own Johnny Paycheck. I can't find any mention of freight trains or dirt roads in the lyrics. There is a 1994 song called 'She Could Make a Freight Train Take a Dirt Road' sung by Davis Daniel.
When You're Ugly Like Us lyrics.
on YouTube. -
Something a bit different this time. This is the address label that Bo and Luke discover on the stolen auto parts in 'Cooter's Confession':
The label only appears to contain destination information and places Hazzard in Georgia, but if that's a zip code (00965) it would be Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
-
This is a Ben Jones quote rather than Cooter. In the season 6 DVD extra 'Back Where We Started: The Real Hazzard County' Ben and Sonny are reminiscing about the first time they saw Cathy.
Ben says 'I tell you ... first time ... I said that girl'd make a bulldog break its chain, make a freight train go up a dirt road, make the deacon drop his bible.'
It was great seeing how they still got on so well after 27 years.
-
Just heard this one in 'Cooter's Confession'.
Boss wants Rosco to tail the Dukes, and asks 'You think you can do that?'.
Rosco replies:
'Surveillance, oh I can handle surveillance. Listen, I was really good in surveillance when I was in the police academy. That was my best subject ... next to recess'.

Well done Roger - I thought Jesse's Mustang might be a bit tricky - you're obviously more of a car guy than you let on. BoJames, you were right about Daisy's Jeep and the same plate was also used on her Road Runner before that. So the answers are:
A) FCH 630 = Daisy's Jeep named Dixie or her Road Runner
83522 = Patrol car primarily driven by Rosco
C) CL 7634 = Uncle Jesse's pickup
D) CK 8229 = Amy's Mustang named Lucifer
E) SNP 650 = Jesse's Mustang named Black Tillie II?
F) ZAB 749 = Cale Yarborough's White Charger
G) C8P 397 = Mason Dixon's Firebird
Did anyone notice the gaffer tape covering the Trans-Am decals on the Firebird?
I'll stick with cars this time:
Q. Besides Lucifer, can you name another car that had #13 on the doors - it was in season 7.

I had an idea for a thread like this a couple of weeks ago whilst driving. I promptly forgot all about it and can't even remember what advert prompted the idea - age does memory no favors .
Garrett, I found your adverts on YouTube (neither of them made it over this side of the Atlantic):
ESPN - NASCAR Haulers Race
Pepsi MAX - Diner 2pointZero
Both very funny. I think advertising law in the UK/Ireland prevents ads like the Pepsi Max one using a rival brand like that - the other guy would probably have to work for a generic cola company. The ad spoofs a 1995 original which I also found:
Coke Vs Pepsi
On TV here, adverts occasionally acheive cult status. One of the recent ones is a series of adverts for an insurance comparison website 'Compare the Market'. The adverts have now developed into mini epics - the sixth one is here:
They even have their own spoof website (www.comparethemeerkat.com) - simples.
I know most adverts don't cross the Atlantic due to different laws/products/humor. Some take ages - the Budweiser 'designated driver' advert with Cedric the Entertainer only aired here earlier this year. Here are a few old adverts I liked:
Cadbury's Gorilla - part of an obscure series of adverts from around 2007:
The gorilla suit was made by the legendary Stan Winston.
Carling Black Label - very funny adverts for lager from the '80s:
