  1. Great post by daisydukeXenosstrait when she said he would have moved on and not brung it up again about the movie.. But people on here still do. I'm gone Darrell
  2. I think I said the same stuff about liking the movie for about 4 years now. But all I got was bashed and looked down upon for not "true" Dukes fan. Oh well. I will always have a blast watching the movie (rated version only). And like I always said nothing will replace the original. But I can still enjoy the 05 movie. I'm gone Darrell
  3. The music scene between Texas and Oklahaoma is called Red Dirt. It is a mix of country, rock, Americana, blues. Johnny Cooper, Brandon Jenkins, Stoney LaRue, Cross Canadian Ragweed are just some of the bigger names on the scene. Jack Ingram, Pat Green, Joe Ely are some of the more famous names. I fell in love with the music last year sometime when I was in Dallas. The local Dallas area country stations play a lot the music. I flew back for a festival and came back this for the South By SouthWest Festival. I'm gone Darrell
  4. Wow you live in Austin . I was down there a month or so ago for the SXSW festival. Austin is "The live music capitol of the world". Listen to some Red Dirt music and then you will know what I mean about good music. I'm gone Darrell
  5. Here are some of mine.. From what you hear on the radio Jamey Johnson Waylon Jennings Hank Williams Jr Willie Nelson Joe Ely Delbert McClinton David Allan Coe From what you hear in TEXAS Stoney Larue Jack Ingram Charlie Robison Johnny Cooper Jason Boland Kevin Fowler Brandon Jenkins Cross Canadian Ragweed Ray Wylie Hubbard Robert Earl Keen I'm gone Darrell
  6. This might be dating myself. I saw The Smiths back in 1986 at Pier 84 in NYC. I had tickets to see them at Radio City Music Hall, but they called it quits and the shows were cancelled. Back in the 80's , I loved punk, new wave, post punk - all that stuff. As I got older I "discovered" other types of music. Now I like most anything and appreciate all types of music, except some. I'm gone Darrell
  7. I guess I am "the few" who liked the 2005 movie, matter of fact I still enjoy watching it. The direct to DVD movie is another story. Here it is almost 4 years later and it is still getting attention. So I guess ya'll can keep getting up on your soapbox about the 2005 movie. I will just continue watch it and put it right next to my Dukes series DVD's. I'm gone Darrell
  8. Holy Cow!!!! No one has mentioned THE trucker song yet.. East Bound And Down - by the late great Jerry Reed. I'm gone Darrell
  9. I told ya that car is going to be fun. The parade looked like a blast. Gotta love the cops wanting to in on the fun. Now they say they pulled over the General. I LOVE the pics of the GL by the pond. The rays shining down on the car are too perfect. God was shining down on you that day. How much more work do you have to complete? Are you going to store it for the winter? I'm gone Darrell
  10. This is me and my dog Bailey and one of my boys on his birth. Finally after all these years ya'll get to see me. I'm gone Darrell
