Tom Awesome job so far. I love the updates of the General in progress. It is very much appreciated from everyone on here (if I may speak for them) that you are keeping us here at HNet updated. I see you on the CGLFC site alot and hope you drop by here more often. Happy New Year Darrell

If it is a continuation that will be better, at least to me anyway. I really have no problem with remakes, retellings, reimaginings or whatever you call them. Granted some of them aren't as good as the original, but I do like to see someone elses thought on them. This one could go either way. I will reserve judgement until I actually see it. Hopefully it will better than 2 Knight Rider made for TV movies in the 90's. What a minute there. Where was anything perverted in this topic? Pointing out some scenes is perverted? Well then it is just as perverted as trying to understand some of opinions expressed on this topic. Please do not compare this to something on "adult" websites. Maybe it would have been better if you didn't refer to TX as perverted or say he has "perverted opinions". It seems , from what I read, that a select few of you had objections to a post that is over a year old. And it turned in to a semi-religious sermonon morals and values. That is all fine and dandy, but each has there own and do not need to hear it "preached" like it has on this topic. We are all DOH fans and that is why we are here. Not really a college football fan.Being from Long Island, college football isn't like it is here. We had no D1 teams on the island or in NY Metro area at all. Most people I have met ask whether I am a Rutgers fan. They think that is close to my area. Jackson County is about 20-25 miles west of Ann Arbor and about 35-40 miles south of Lansing. So it is mixed on being a Mich. State or Mich. fan. I tell you it was awesome the first game this season when Appalachian St beat Michigan. After hearing all the trash talk around work and my neighborhood, I was rooting for the underdog. The funny thing is I kept saying to people that you can't take then lightly as they are ranked #1 in D1A. And sure enough , what a game. Darrell

My daughter got me another copy of the Special Edition for Christmas. From what I understand they changed some of the sounds when they remastered it in 5.1. The opening scene where the tractor starts up is a different one than the original and in a few other spots too. Overall it is worth it nad most likely the only special edition we will ever get. I was originally from Long Island. Lived there until June , then I was transferred to Michigan. I had an apartment in Ann Arbor , a block away from the "Big House". Then my wife and kids finally moved out and we are settled in Jackson County, MI. Great little town we live in. My kids love it and that is all that matters. Seems to me that you don't like people having other opinions about the Dukes. My sig has been there for a couple of years now, way before you joined this site. I like your statement about me getting all up in arms. That is funny as I am just doing the same thing as you - trying to stand up for what I think is right. Please tell me where I have gotten ticked off and am rude to anyone on this thread. I haven't ever called anyone anything bad or am rude or anything close to it. So where you get that from my post is beyond me. Just don't want to hear about the high morals you so want everyone to follow on here. What is wrong with this site that you want changed to make it better so you say? You want it to be strictly of high moral character? My local Wal-Mart (sorry about the advertising) had a whole shelf of them displayed last night. It looks like they stocked the shelf with at least a couple of cases. My 5 yo walked by and said "dad , the dukes of hazzard car " and did a yeehaw and then played the dixie horn on the car. That felt good. I'm gone Darrell

Man thought I was the only one East of Texas who knew about them. I first discovered them on the original MP#.com site around 2000 and ordered a couple of their CD's. Love the Southern Rock/Metal they make. "Proud To Be American" is one of my favorite songs . Just wish they toured more of the east coast before I moved. Now I hope they come close to Michigan. When did I say that? Never said anything about "high morals" as negative. This is what I said in response to you Capt_Redneck - First of all , Roger , please don't say the majority of HNet when it comes to saying something in a negative way about someone on here. TX just pointed out something that was interesting to people and he did it over a YEAR ago. He didn't focus on something as he all he did was just bring attention to a little detail.
