  1. Think Garrett forgot how to smile...Lori reminded him how to. :)

  2. Hi redneck girl! How's it going? Hope all is great with you. Saw you on so I thought I would say a hello! You miss highshool yet?

  3. Just thought I'd send you a hello and welcome to Hnet. :D I take it you are a Dale Jr fan...

  4. Great post...:D Garrett was surprised to see Lori!

  5. Happy Birthday Val! I hope that you are out celebrating or doing something fun for your special day! Hope it is a great one for you!

  6. I am too much of an perfectionist with my writing to not to care about it. LOL. well I can be at times. All I can hope for is to change for the better...but I do know what you mean.

Thanks for the PM...Garrett will be delightfully surprised. If he could ever be delighted. LOL. You know Garrett. :D

  7. You are very welcome. He has been in my prayers. Hopefully his white blood count will be normal.

  8. Hi TX Daisy...you'll have to check out Musicial chairs. I made a reference to you tonight. Couldn't help myself ;) Hope is great with you and that your son is doing better. God Bless

  9. TX Daisy -How's your son doing? I hope he is getting to feel better real soon! God Bless!

  10. Garrett feels forgotten about...he'll be gladly surprised with Lori's surprise visit. ;)

We are the opposite. LOL. My series is usually first person while my single stories are third person and normally just the TV characters. POVs are hard. My problem with first person, I always worry about repeating myself or find myself repeating myself in other characters POV or even the same sometimes. I need to find a way to get past that. LOL. But yeah, your advice did come in handy and I appreciate all your help. I think I will rewrite Hogg's POV, rethink of a new start, and go with first person. Stick with what I am comfortable with and stick to my routine. (I say that now...wait a day, a week, a month my opinion may change. LOL!) Thanks again!

  11. I guess I am more comfortable keeping my series writing in first POV...my comfort zone I guess you can call it. And my solo stories in third point of view. Odd isn't it. Though my solo or single stories don't normally have any of my created characters, just the show characters. You have pretty much said how I felt so I will most likely keep it as it is, just have to figure out how to do the bad guys and Boss. Like right now, I got chapter one started for Boss, but it is in third person...and I like how it is right now. Don't think I could get it in first person and have it be the same, I'd have to start all over...wouldn't be the end of the world I guess. LOL

Thank-you for your help. I guess I just worry about no one reading my story and not liking it because it is in first POV and all. I appreciate all of your advice. As of now, I think I am going to take your advice and keep it the same. Perhaps change the bad guys...I don't know. LOL. Thanks again!

  12. Wow you got Garrett pegged pretty well! LOL. He is completely two sided...he wants the attention, but when he gets it, he's upset about it. He is never satisfied.

Garrett would enjoy a visit from Lori...though he'd never verbally admit it of course. He'd have to ditch his attitude and ego in order to do that and for some reason he don't seem willing to ditch any of them.

Glad Lori is behaving herself. Sounds like she likes her new atmosphere...her new job and role in her muse-life. Which is good...even if it isn't in Hazzard county. ;)

  13. *GASP* You missed not only one but two races? How could you...LOL. No worries. I even missed most of last week's race. Life does tend to move on whether there is a race on or not and tends to get in the way from time to time. :) Hope whatever it was that you were doing was nice and relaxing. Just had to make sure I didn't upset you in any way.

  14. Hi Hoss...how's it going? Haven't seen you in the NASCAR thread for awhile now. Hope I didn't scare you away or bored you away. Either way would be bad. Hope you are having a good day. :)

  15. I know what you mean though...the characters just grow on you and become a part of you. I couldn't get rid of Garrett. Though it'd probably save me a lot of trouble if I did. Funny thing is, is when I started out it was Kristy that was my strong and more alive muse and Garrett was just in the background. The past few years it has been the opposite for some odd reason. Garrett must have kicked my nice quiet muse to the side and took over. Sounds like something he would do. ;)

Once more...it was great hearing from you and is just as great hearing that Lori is still up and kicking. Hope she is behaving herself for you and that your writing is going great! :D

(Sorry for all the posts here...kept getting the too long message. LOL Oh and for the help...any help would be great.)

  16. Am soooooo glad you didn't finish Lori off. Garrett and I would be heartbroken to see that happen. He's lonely enough that she moved out of Hazzard. He's probably jealous of her too. He despises Hazzard, though I don't see why. I'd love to move to Hazzard. Just another example how Garrett and I don't see eye to eye on things. HA HA.

  17. Lori - It was great hearing from you as always!

That dang POV always tripping me up. For my single stories, it is always third POV, and my series has always been first. I guess I feel more comfortable going with first, but then I had someone say it was confusing because I wrote the law and bad guys in third POV. (Don't know how that originated...) So that is what started the whole thing. I know halfway through my other series story I had thought of switching or wishing I was writing in third, but now I don't know. (Sorry if I am rambling here. . .) What do you think?

I guess the more I think about it, I'd feel more comfortable doing it the way I have been doing it. Then again, it always takes me awhile to adjust to change and to stick with routine is my comfort zone. I wish there was sure answer here...I'd be halfway done on my story by now. (OK probably exaggerating there. Garrett would always find another way to trip me up!)

  18. Writing Dukes or not, I am glad that you come back. It wouldn't be the same without you.. As for me, things are fine. Writing has come to a halt. Had a great idea off the bat after finishing my other series story, but that went to a halt with my great decision whether to do it in first or third POV. Still haven't made up my mind. Have a single third POV that I am writing, but have been too busy and too tired to pay much attention to it.

Hope you are writing something other than the Dukes, if not the Dukes. ;) Can't let you muse down, you know? LOL

  19. Please tell me I didn't lose you . . . again! ;) Hope all is well and that your dad is doing better. Hope you find the job that you will enjoy doing. Hope to hear from you soon!

  20. Hi Lori...glad you found something that you feel you are good at. Just too bad it's not the Dukes. I always thought you were good at the Dukes. ;) Glad you still hang out around here though. Be kinda lonely without you here! take care!

  21. Hi Cowboy...I am really glad to see you back at HNet. Hope all is great with you. Also glad to see MA reduce your sentence to a more workable bail. :)

  22. Thanks for the message...sorry I missed you. I am glad to see you on and posting...178 posts in eight days is awesome! Wish I could acheive that, just think at how many posts I'd have. Give you time, you'll be all caught up with me in a couple of months...better get my rear in gear. :D

  23. Wow you can get video on your dial up? I can't...I know how slow and frutrating dial ups are due to my own one. European or NHL...you're lucky it is year around. Then again, I'm picky too when it comes to racing. It has to have Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson in it. LOL. Hmm back roads sounds like fun, perhaps can find a pond or two to jump tonight. ;) If only I had the General Lee...

  24. Hi Lori...saw you were on and thought I'd send ya howdy. It's been awhile. HOpe all is great with you. Things are fine here...just tired. Great to see you on again. :)

  25. Oops sorry for the double post!
