  1. https://racingnews.co/2018/01/04/ryan-newman-car-collection-nascar-drivers-car-collection/ Y'all should go see what car Ryan Newman has in his car collection. I am pretty sure you all will recognize the one I'm talking about. Also another fun fact...James Best and him were friends and Best helped Newman with dog charities. Best did something with Jeff Gordon too, can't recall what right now. But the last time I met Best, I asked him who his favorite driver was...Ryan Newman. Just thought I would share the article. Love the fact that our favorite car, is also his daughtedaughter's favorite car to ride to school in.
  2. Yes...you should go to Cooters next time!
  3. Wow Roger...Jeff Burton and Mike Singleton. Together? And yet no autograph? That is beyond awesome. Autograph or not. I'd have been in heaven. Only thing missing is a Cubs player! That sounds like a great parade. I remember years ago Kyle Petty did a motorcycle parade across America to raise money for his charity he does in remembrance of his son Adam Petty. He came to town near me...but the radio add had the time wrong if I remember right so we were late. Other drivers went with them...but they all had helmets on so I couldn't recognize them. Kyle took his helmet off for a minute, but that was it. It was exciting and disappointing all at the same time. LOL Oh but Jeff Burton...he would be great to see as would Mike. Thank you for thinking of me.
  4. You met Jeff Burton? He tell you how he got in a fight with Jeff Gordon? LOL. He was a great driver. Hopefully his son will get the call up to NASCAR. Talking of NASCAR...Dover has no lights and since the race was delayed long enough, the race will be tomorrow at noon on FS1. Chase Elliott (who won Talladega) will start from the pole.
  5. Well I didnt tet to watch the race to say much about it other than that Martin Truex Jr won and Johnson finished 12th. But ol 7 time (Jimmie Johnson) ran in the Boston marathon for the first time today. Finished 3:09 (3 hours 9 minutes) in rainy weather. Yep Jimmie Johnson is Superman after all.
  6. That would be awesome if I would ever get to. Hope you get to meet him.
  7. LOL. You are doing pretty great so far. I keep going back and forth. I jinx all the drivers I pick. I'm afraid to pick Johnson and Elliott. LOL
  8. That would be awesome! Have you ever met him or Michael?
  9. Well I have missed the past couple of races due to not having cable. Kyle Busch won last week at Bristol. But the big news is that Darrell Waltrip is going to retire from broadcasting after NASCAR gets done with Fox in June. As for me, I'm sad to see him go. He has always been my favorite besides Gordon and will miss his enthusiasm for the sport and his boogity boogity boogity. Am happy for him, sad for me. LOL
  10. Kyle Busch won his 200th career win yesterday at California. The wins came in all three NASCAR series and ties him with Richard Petty with the most wins in NASCAR. Though Petty's all came from the Monster Energy Series...but also, when Richard Petty raced, they had a lot more races on a season than they do now. It is Kyle Busch's 53 Monster Energy series win of his career...
  11. That is pretty cool Roger. Bet Boss is smiling down on you that you got it and made the connection. I'm sorry for your loss of your friend .
  12. I don't know if this counts, but Im currently in my fantasy baseball draft with Roger Duke and drafting the world's BEST fantasy baseball league. But shhhh don't tell Roger.
  13. I didn't get to watch the race, but did see Joey Logano won and Brad Keselowski came in second place. Also the only caution flags that were waved only came during the scheduled stages.
  14. Well granted it wasn't the most exciting race, but at least it wasn't a wreck fest as Daytona was.
  15. I remember years ago when John Schneider gave the command of Gentleman Start your engines at Atlanta. Sadly it didn't go Elliott's way or Johnson. Johnson finished two laps down. Brad Keselowski won. Had him to start on my fantasy NASCAR team but replaced him after I heard he had the flu and had a substitute driver on standby. Ugh... Congrats Roger on leapfrogging me in our league.
  16. Uh...I may be the commissioner but I dont make the rules. So...I'm sorry. Better luck at Atlanta.
  17. Yes it is. Still remember watching that race and my sister called and said he died. I had a hard time believing it.
  18. Um...sorry to say Roger, but the goal is to have the most points.
  19. They also talked about that on pre race of the Daytona 500...
  20. Yesterday also marked 18 years since Dale Earnhardt Sr was killed.
  21. Last year it didn't take that long...so maybe its because of it was the 500 or because the new rule of they have of inspecting cars after the race instead of Tuesday slowed them down. But yeah it took them awhile.
  22. Me too. There were a few bad ones at the end. But that's Daytona or any restrictor plate racing. There was a lot of action that is for sure and a great finish.
  23. Well today is the day! Daytona 500...the Super Bowl of NASCAR! It's on FOX. Y'all know I'm excited. All four of my drivers will be starting out front...now if only they will finish there. Is your Fantasy team ready, Roger?
  24. No our fantasy league will start this weekend.
