You're older than I thought. I don't know what was making me think you were younger. I suppose it's not possible to make shine as good as yours and be young. Talent like that takes decades to acquire.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. 1979! That's the year Dukes came out. I was 19. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and sometimes it feels like 100 years.

I know what that one means. It's when a girl named Sarah puts her toes in the water. Saradipintoes

Hey Hoss, can you post some more fancy words? This is kinda fun. I'm having a yutilletarian good time.

This reminds me of a quote by Henry Ford. I'm not sure if it's true or not but I've heard it several times. Back then he didn't want to paint new cars different colors so he said "They can have one in any color they'd like as long as it's black."

There was a cartoon when I was a kid called Go Go Gophers and one of them had the catch phrase "What him say? What him say?" I feel like that gopher a lot.

Thanks Hoss. I just thought it would be good to put this here since there are fewer and fewer Dukes gatherings lately. I wish this thing wasn't a thousand miles away because I'd love to go if it was closer. I see the property is 58 acres which is a coincidence since Bo is turning 58. As I said I'll turn 58 just 7 days after that. I wonder if I should start an extravaganza when I jump my dirt bike over that General Lee toy. How much do you think I should charge for admission?

Good one Hoss. I'm not really eligible to be fan of the month since I'm supposed to be the one picking them. As I recall in the fine print though the first person who suggests that I am fan of the month retroactively to the months that haven't been picked automatically become fan of the month for all those unpicked months so congratulations. You certainly deserve it. As much as you pay attention to details I'm surprised you didn't read that fine print....or maybe you did and you just wanted to scoop up all those awards....Well played! But enough about us. It's time to tip a class to the 'ol Hobie. Make mine a buttermilk.

Congratulations to Hobie for earning fan of the month honors for March 2018. Okay, let's say it since we're all thinking it. This fan of the month thing hasn't exactly been a monthly thing. But it's still around and that's something at least. You're awesome Hobie and we're thankful to have you here. Keep up the good work and keep that shine flowing....umm...for medicinal purposes of course.

I know an elderly lady who just started using Facebook and wasn't very good at it. When she announced the death of someone she posted LOL at the end. Needless to say she got a lot of concerned responses. She then explained that she thought it meant Lots Of Love.
Who remembers that hilarious commercial from a couple years ago with the old ladies "That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works!" when one unfriended the other? The funny thing is that when I saw it I didn't know what "posting something to the wall" meant. When it was explained to me it was even funnier.

My favorite song on that is Mighty Wings by Cheap Trick. (I bet you folks didn't know I was familiar with any songs that weren't country from the 70s)

Chase Elliott all the way! He's a real redneck and his dad was mentioned on the Dukes once. That's plenty enough to make me a fan.

    I love those cartoon drawings!
I have a few of those old TV Guides but not the one with the first episode.
I think the 16 you asked about is "16" magazine. It was pretty popular with teen-age girls.

King of the Road was a huge hit when I was young. Big Boss Man was an Elvis song.
