RogerDuke reacted to Hobie Hartkins in CB Talk
I met one of my middle school teachers at Walmart after I'd grown up, got married etc. She said I hated school worse than any kid she ever knew!

The XXX on the moonshine jugs was one X for each time the shine had passed through the still, to purify it.

I never even heard of it. We only got NBC growing up so I'm guessing it was ABC or CBS. When I was 19 and Dukes came out I had to go down the road to my grandparents. They could afford a tall antenna.

Especially on days when the weather was nice. It was so tough to be stuck inside. I was always looking out the window daydreaming.

I was born in the south-west, but grew up just outside London, about 100 miles from Birmingham. I don't remember visiting Birmingham for anything other than shows at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

RogerDuke reacted to Meadowmufn in HazzardNet Hysteria!
Last year on the social media channels, I ran HazzardNet Hysteria (the Dukes version of March Madness). It didn't even occur to me to post about it on the forums. I will be posting polls here for y'all to vote too. Last year it was characters and Uncle Jesse won. This year, it's Battle of the Episodes.
And since y'all are the most avid supporters of HazzardNet, you get first crack at the polls! I'll post them here first.

I've lived in Ireland for over 20 years, but I'm originally from England.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. March is an exciting time of the year. It just got more exciting with the HazzardNet Hysteria!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a splash of Irish from my mom's side. I am always wearing green because I have green eyes (my overwhelmingly Scottish heritage).

Due to the big drop in barometric pressure my wife and I got headaches yesterday and pretty much stayed inside and were couch potatoes. Winds got up to 55-60mph.

I hope everyone in the US is safe and well.
In Ireland, March 17 can only mean St Patrick's Day. This year I had to help out a bit with the organizing, but still got to see the parade and other attractions. Despite not being Irish, I still dressed head to foot in green!
Roger, you'd probably have enjoyed seeing the Museum of the Moon, an art installation which features a 7m diameter, 1:500,000 model of the moon.
A temporary Ferris wheel gave us great views despite cloudy conditions.
Finally, we got some great live Irish music from Kíla. The uilleann pipes and bodhrán mixed with flutes, drums, guitar and bass were played with such energy - it was amazing.
