  1. Jesse *voice sounding light and bouncy* Well, the best way to feel better when yer down is to see someone that ya love smile. *hesitates* It looks like ya might have something in yer hand there that can do the trick. I don't know about you Luke but I'm heading over to the Boar's Nest *looks for a reaction from Luke* My throat's gitting a little dry. *walks toward drivers side door of truck*
  2. Here's Uncle Jesse's recipe for baked beans from the 1983 Dukes of Hazzard "Annual" by Purnell Publishing. Ingredients needed PER PERSON 3 slices bread, butter, mustard, 1 egg, 225g (7.94 oz) can of baked beans, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 3 chipolata sausages DIRECTIONS: Butter the bread on both sides, spread one side with mustard and cut each slice into 4 triangles. Arrange the pieces, with mustard side facing inwards, overlapping around the edge of an individual ovenproof dish. Beat the egg(s) in a bowl, stir in the beans and Worcestershire sauce and turn the mixture into the center of the bread. Arrange the sausages on top then bake the dish at 190 C (350 F) for 20-30 minutes or until the sausages are brown and the bread crispy. Serve with a salad.
  3. Jesse *looks at ground thinking deeply making sure to choose his next words carefully but secretly hoping that Luke reveals more of his feeling first*
  4. Sometimes I can't tell if MaryAnne and Brian are joking or not about being mad. Even if they really do get mad at each other it's clear that they work well together as a team. They kinda remind me of Boss and Rosco. They really love each other when it all comes down to it.....and us Hazzard folks love them too.....
  5. Here's the correct answer streak. DoubleX has 24 in a row right. DaisyMae has 12 in a row right (but might have 15 in a row if she got these last 3. I'll wait to give other folks a chance to answer them too) Remember, if anybody wants to double check my accuracy on these streak numbers, I always appreciate it.
  6. Jesse *lowers chin and looks at Luke with caring and wise eyes* Welllll, of course it matters, why wouldn't it? You boys have had spats in the past, this couldn't be that bad. *face turns stern* Now, yer either gonna tell me all about it right here and now or yer gonna hop in dat there stock car and race on over ta the Boar's nest and see if he's there. Now which one's it gonna be young man?
  7. Uncle Jesse never gets into fights because he knows that he has the potential to hurt somebody really bad if he hits them. He's like a ninja---don't use your skills unless you life (or somebody else's) depends on it. Uncle Jesse the ninja....LOL. Laura, I liked the way you imitated Waylon. That was very creative. I could almost hear Waylon's voice.....
  8. Jesse *looks scoldingly* Is there a reason ya ain't in any all fired hurry ta tell me what the heck's going' on here?
  9. Right DaisyMae, it's Enos. What's unique about "Repo Men"? A) filmed in Florida shortest episode title C) the General Lee is not on entire episode D) George Foreman is one of the bad guys E) first appearence of Big Ed Little
  10. John Schneider is in USA Today (Feb 5, Life section) The story features how much work his new manager is finding for him. His manager's name is Steven Jensen. Hmmm, is there a connection here? He sounds like a good 'ol Hazzard boy. Jensen's Bridge--"The Meeting" Jensen's Cave--"Bird's Gotta Fly" Jensen's Hollow--""The Ghost of the General Lee"
  11. Which of these were on the show? Coffin Works or Jensen's Saddle Works Polk County or Erie County Sawdust Hollow or Stump Hollow
  12. *slowly gets out of truck and walks to front then leans backside gently on front grill* So, where do ya THINK Bo went?
  13. No Laura, I don't want any other vehicle than what I got. I wouldn't even trade it for a brand new white Ford pick-up. Them things have so many computer gizmos on 'em a feller can't even replace spark plugs any more unless the blasted computer gives ya permission. It makes me mad (and sad). Hey Bo and Luke, how much can ya bench press? Daisy, how'd ya learn to flip guys? (like you did when you became a deputy) I know yer Uncle Jesse didn't teach ya that stuff.
  14. (several minutes later) Jesse *slams brakes on, stopping dirty white pick-up a few feet away from the General Lee with scenic lake in background*
  15. I'm on the way *walks out of kitchen where CB was located and gets in truck creating dust cloud as he speeds away, fishtailing twice*
  16. I don't know about that Lori. Cooter looked pretty civilized when he met his daughter. (Okay so he got in a bar room brawl but at least he looked civilized)
  17. I got Tom Wopat's autograph on one of them. There's a picture of him riding a Yamaha motorcycle and I had him sign that page. He seemed surprised to see the picture.
  18. Well, fer a while there this morning, I thought you boys could have a relaxing day of shucking and jiving Boss and the Hazzard law but now it sounds like it's turned into somethin' I wasn't expecting. What's the matter? *hesitates* Aw, never mind. What's yer 20?
  19. Ya lost me there. What's goin' on with you boys?
  20. I found them. They're called Dukes of Hazzard "Annuals" The older ones were published by Grandreams in London England and the newer ones were published by Purnell Publishers from Paulton Bristol (is that in England?) The older ones were printed in Holland and the newer ones were made in Italy. Two of the 5 that I own have recipies in them. When I get more time, I'll post Uncle Jesse's Baked Beans and Daisy's Terrific Truffles.
  21. *Shepherd on CB*(after nephew reminds him how to spell his handle) I hate to bother ya boys but me and Daisy was wonderin' what yer...uh....plans are for the rest of the day?
  22. You're right TomBo. Now I feel inspired to contact the folks at the Canton Ohio auto show and see if they would consider trying to bring in more Dukes stars. Rosco was there recently and the long line to meet him went through two large rooms and into the lobby and remained that long the entire time. Imagine how many tickets they could sell if they had other Dukes stuff and stars there too. Tickets = money so maybe they'll listen. I'll get my northern Dukes Fest yet!!!
