I agree with you on that one Bo.
I was wondering, if someone doesn't show up for a night to post something, does that make the "episode" have to wait until the next night for the story to continue or do you try to work your way around the absent role player?
-
Laura, No I'll never UNweld the doors on the General even though I think about it once in awhile. If I do, I'd worry that they might weld the doors on my pick-up.
Laura, on Carnival of Thrills part II, if you put the DVD on pause on the part they show the odometer, it reads 32,047.
General Grant, I guess I lost my head there a little on the incident you're talking about with Luke. That's one of those things we laugh about now but it wasn't funny at the time it happened. Of course it was funny a few seconds after it happened as you saw. I guess I showed him though, didn't I? I think I might box that Catfish Lee feller if he comes into town again.

Bo, congratulations....4000 posts!!!! So that's why chores aren't getting done!!!
-
Well Laura, now you know 4 people who are Methodist...the Dukes.
Alex has 15 in a row correct. DoubleX still has a streak of 23 (and 21 on the other thread). I wonder if DoubleX is going to let Alex catch up on this thread and then stay just a little bit ahead just to make it fun. Hmmm.....
What episode introduced Flash?
Enos Strate to the Top OR Limo One is Missing
-
All 4 of you are right. Correct me if I'm wrong but DoubleX has the only correct answer streak longer than 3. DoubleX has gotten 21 in a row right.
Which of these were on the show?
Muddy River Lane or Hazzard River
Camp Hogg or Camp Ledbetter
Smokey Mountain Overpass or Chatahoochee Hills
-
Thanks Laura. Highway 7 is mentioned quite a few times in the series. I assume it's also known as County 7 but there's no way to be sure if they are the same road or not. I appreciate your interest in the map. Mapmaking can be anything you want it to be. You should try it. You could just put a handful of major locations and main characters on a small map or make a medium sized map and use stuff from your favorite episodes. It doesn't have to be big and complex. The only thing that it should be is FUN.

Count me in. It's going to be a tough job but I'm up for it. I hope you kids don't think that you're going to be spending all day role playing. You still have your chores to take care of....and I'd better not catch you with a computer in the barn when you're supposed to be working. It will end up in the same place those slot machines did....outta here.

Hey DaisyMae, make that two of us on that favorite Britsh actor thing! Bo, General is right, that was a great perspective that you wrote......
General, please don't be so shy about disagreeing with me on liking particular episodes. I have a lot of respect for you because all of your posts are so positive in nature and I respect your opinion on liking certain eps. I do love every episode of the original series but I like some more than others. Even though "Strange Visitor to Hazzard" is my least liked episode, I still like it more than anything else I've ever seen on television my entire life that wasn't Dukes related. That's my perspective....
-
Wow Laura, you said you were going to guess but that really wasn't a guess. That was good old-fashioned Duke brain power. If I didn't know better I'd think Luke answered that. He does the same thing when he always considers everything and then follows it to a logical conclusion.
Alex has answered 14 in a row right. Hi Jessi, you got it too!!
Well, I asked this question about Boss's Mama so I might as well ask it about the Dukes. From the "Jude Emery" episode, are the Dukes Baptist or Methodist?
-
Sorry, that was a little tough. All three Bear choices really were on the show and the 3 elk choices weren't. You two didn't do bad considering how tough they were. Which of these were on the show?
Rodney Moffet or Rodney McDowell
Red Canyon Trail or Pine Ridge Road
Jamie Lee Hogg or Jamie Lee Duke
-
Well General Grant, my boys aren't perfect so when I get a phone call (or CB) saying they're in trouble, I'm usually not sure if they really did do something wrong or if Boss set them up or if they just had some bad luck. We all know that they rarely are ever guilty of doing something wrong and the few times that they were, it was always something minor. When I heard that the trouble was marijuania, I knew that they had nothing to do with it. I also knew that Boss would have nothing to do with it either. It didn't take me long to figure out that this problem was from good old-fashined Bo and Luke bad luck. At least I got some good exercise that day. Did you see me jogging by that loading dock?
Hey Bo, how old were you when you first beat Luke in an arm wrestling match. (assuming that you have)
-
That's a bummer Tim. I was hoping to meet you. Daisy, maybe we'll try to organize something in a few days when people have a better idea of what their plans are. I know if the roads are this bad I'm not going. They had both the interstates near where I live (79 and 90) closed down today from wrecks. I'll be keeping track of the forecast. Is anybody else going for sure?

Welcome to Hazzard County Amy. This is a fun place. You're going to like it here.

Wow Laura, you've been busy watching some good episodes. I'm glad you found that coffin joke. For those of you who don't know what we're talking about it's....What did one casket say to the other casket? Is that you coffin?...we've been wondering what episode Rosco said that was on.
Laura, that Uncle Jesse fainting scene is a true classic moment on the series. But then again, I love every second of the Dukes so every scene is great.
Thanks for the info about Henry Flatt.
Thanks for asking about the map. I have all the information I need checked and double checked. Now I need to get moving on it..once I get started I know I'll really get into it but just knowing what a big project this is going to be compared to another smaller (incomplete) map I made in the past is depressing me. The problem is that there's only so much time in a day and I like to spend an hour on an episode and an hour on Hazzardnet every night so spending time on this wall sized map means something's gotta give. Maybe I'll work on it every other night. That means only watching an episode every other night instead of every night *sobs*

Well, I wasn't planning on it but if you kids are gittin' into trouble again, ya gotta have someone to bail you out so I guess I'll hop in the pick-up and drive over there. Remember, I have minimal computer skills and I've never tried anything like that so I may take awhile to figure it out...
-
I'm not too surprised about that since it was probably something fun and different for him. I bet they all really loved doing "Go West Young Dukes" especially the 3 older actors.
-
Daisy, how much money did you make from that song Jessi Colter recorded? Have you given up on your singing career?
Luke, when's the last time you heard from your brother?
Bo, do you have any memory at all of when you were Bo Hogg?
-
Hopefully we'll hear from Tim with suggestions and advice.
-
Right Lori and Alex. Sorry B.L. With DoubleX being out of CB range, Alex is slowly closing the gap with 13 in a row.
From episode #1 (One Armed Bandits) what year did the Duke family start moonshining?
A) 1726
1826
C) 1926

Sorry, there's no platinum mine. There are copper and silver mines though. Dawson's Digs Mine is from "Sound of Music-Hazzard Style". You're right Daisy, there's no "s" in "Duke of Duke"
Which of these were on the show?
Bear Creek or Elk Creek
Bear's Hollow or Elk Hollow
Bear Point or Elk Point

Please let me interupt for a second. You folks know that I don't do fanfic or RP or anything but if anybody ever starts something that you don't have to go to other links AND characters outside of the series are not involved, I would be interested in trying. I'm only mentioning this for future consideration. The Dukes Talk Show is pretty cool. Why is that considered "Round Robin" and not RP?
-
General Grant, this might be the first time I've ever disagreed with you. I love all the Dukes episodes. Even the episode I like the least (Strange Visitor in Hazzard) is better than any other (non-Dukes) show I've ever seen on television or in the movies. That being said, the Dr Jekyell show would rank in my bottom 10 of Dukes episodes. I know it wasn't Luke's fault that he behaved that way but it was still tough for me to watch. It was also tough to watch the episodes where Dukes are hypnotized. During any of those shows all I can focus on is looking foward to when they become themselves again.
-
Bo, I thought we had an agreement. Since you broke your end of the deal and teased me about Miz Tisdale this means I'm allowed to tease you about Cousin Alice...how'd that wrastlin' match go?
Laura, if you would have had to put up with Boss's dirty deals for the past 50 years, you would have learned as much about the law as you could too. I'm not saying I know as much as a real lawyer but I've learned a thing or two. That's the only way a feller can keep ahead of J.D.
Hey Bo, that tricycle you were just talking about....is that the first thing you ever jumped? Was it orange? Did you have little Cooter put it in his wagon and pull it away when it needed fixed?
-
You are all 3 right. Alex has 12 in a row right. (DoubleX still has 23) I'll go back and check B.L. for streaks tomorrow night when I have more time.
What college did Rosco mention in "Bird's Gotta Fly"?
A) Georgia State
Penn State
Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Duke

All of this talk about acting makes me wonder if any of the Dukes actors ever visit this site. I wouldn't be surprised if they do once in awhile, or even on a regular basis. Pardon my wild imagination but it sure is a fun thought......
