Anytime I'm sick, watching the Dukes always helps. Sometimes the Dukes cartoons work even better. They really are good medicine for Dukes fans. I hope you're doing better (let us know) and I hope your birthday was good despite the bug and stress.
been there...done that. Sometimes poison ivy bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. I think it's more potent in the middle of the summer...for me at least. I just got back from 3 days of visiting my daughter and her family in Virginia. We did some astronomy, watched the grandsons play soccer and football and also visited the childhood home of Patsy Cline.
It's too bad he wasn't on an episode. He could have passed as Cletus' brother. I remember the old cartoon Camp Candy on Saturday mornings. I used to watch it with my daughter.
While I absolutely hate new cars when it comes to working on them I will admit there are a lot of maintenance improvements technological engineers have created.
This is exactly why every town needs a Cooter. If you roll your car over several times and then it falls down a ravine into a river and floats to the next county and catches on fire while going down a waterfall then gets stolen by a bank robber then crunched in the crusher after being confiscated by the police....it's no problem....Cooter will go to the crusher, pick it up and it will be as good as new later that day and all he'll ask for is donuts and beer.
Monday's are usually a bit sad since most folks have to go back to work but this Monday we're all taking the day off and celebrating Luke's birthday at the Boar's Nest. See you folks there. Happy birthday Luke!
If you need any help MM I'll come over with my sockets, pliers, hammer and duct tape. (I'll bring the little hammer. I doubt you'd trust me with a sledge hammer around your electronics).
Thanks as always for all you do.
You sure have a green thumb Spike. No Hoss, John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, Ben Jones, Sonny Shroyer, Byron Cherry and Rick Hurst didn't show up so not only did we not see stars in the sky but we didn't see them walking around either.
I spent yesterday at an astronomy gathering. We call them star parties. There were several great speakers and I enjoyed talking to my fellow amateur astronomers, many of them I only see once a year. It was cloudy so we didn't get to do any observing after it got dark. Shucks.
I'm making this a yearly tradition. That was pretty good. I'm going with the 90 weight stuff. That's the oil you put in your axles and it's super thick. Happy birthday Friday Cooter!
You sure lead an exciting life Hoss....always going places and seeing cool stuff.....thanks for posting that Daisy was in Cannonball Run II. I had forgotten that. Every once in awhile the first one will pop up on my satellite tv but I don't think I've seen the second one since it was in the theaters.
