I feel your pain, Val. I had my nursing final on Tues (B!) and my pysch final last night. I also woke up to a winter wonderland of snow and ice. Gotta love western PA and OH. Have fun this break. Relax, you'be earned it. I know I have. Pendragon

Having absolutly nothing to do to Hazzard....

B+!! 8) 8) 3 semesters down, one to go. I'm particulary proud of my grade this semester because I had one of the toughest instructors in the nursing program and came through. Get this, our pinning (nurses's graduation) ceremony may be on my birthday. How cool would that be?! Pendragon -

I took some of the older pictures down because of bandwidth issues for my personal site. -
How did your semester go? I am so totally burnt out right now. I have my nursing final on Tues and I should be studying but I feel like I can't fit another thing into my head. ( not that there was much there to begin with) So I'm here playing online instead. 8) Pendragon

Cappuccino Crinkles (like I wouldn't find a way to incorporate coffee into this...) 1/3 cup butter (no substitutes), softened 1 cup packed brown sugar 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 egg whites 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat butter in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the brown sugar, cocoa powder, coffee granules, baking soda, and cinnamon. Beat until combined, scraping sides of the bowl occasionally. Beat in egg whites and yogurt until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour with a wooden spoon. 2. Place granulated sugar in a small bowl. Drop dough by heaping teaspoons into sugar and roll into balls. Roll again in sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are firm. Transfer cookies to wire racks and cool. Makes about 32. Enjoy! I'll post more later, I have to dig out my grandpap's bakery recipes.

You can't have Christmas without cookies! My family comes from a line of bakers, so we bake starting weekend after Thanksgiving and by Christmas we have dozen of dozens of cookies in the house. Last year we had frozen cookies that lasted until March. Pendragon

The Dukes of Hazzard R/C

How does the thing go on carpeting? We have the plush 70s shag in out house. I may break down and buy one, despite Ginger's protests. Pendragon -
On E! right now they are showing the 101 greatest Sat. Night Live moments. So many great comedians got their start on that show. In honor of such an incredible show, what was your favorite actor/guest star/skit? My personal favorite is the old classic Coneheads and Jon Belusi's "The Samurai". Pendragon

I'm know I'm getting the 4th and 5th season for Christmas. I would love the RC General Lee, but after an incident that included our cat and my last RC, they were banned from the house. 8)

Oh yeah...dark looks, leather jacket, cool Chevy, smartass attitude.. Nothing attractive there. But seriously, Brian, you know how I feel about you. Don't get me started here on the forums. After all, this is a family-rated site. 8) Doc

And let me just add for the female fans out here, this show provides ALOT of eye candy. And I don't nesscary mean the car, although it is cool too. Pendragon http://www.supernatural.tv/

Egads, Shakespeare is difficult enough, I couldn't imagine trying to pull off a musical in the time and budget we have. Break a leg.

Remember that murder mystery I was mentioned in a the Tom Wopat forum I was directing? Well, it was a HUGE hit. Our acting troupe was actually HIRED to perform two more this year. Being hired out is a first for our club. As this that ain't enough, I've been chosen to be the tech director/stage manager of our big performance of Comedy of Errors early next year. So I'm probably thinking by Feb, I'm going to be completly insane. But I love the theater. 8) Pendragon

Well it's about that time of year again. I wouldn't have revived this thread except I find myself in a rather strange position this year. One that has me both nervous and hopeful. As some of you may or may not know, I am a nursing school. This year included a pysch rotation at the local hospital. Ya'll can probably guess where this is going... I have been assigned, ironically enough, to the same ward I spent time in six years ago. I have to say, I haven't been this nervous about a rotation since my first. I don't know if my experience will help me empathize with the patients or just totally make me freak out being in that place again. I do know this, something about this feels right. If I can help just one person while my short stay there, touch one lost soul, I feel I will have completed the cycle started six years ago. If I can do that, I feel my journey will had have a purpose and I can be at peace with what happeaned. Wish me luck. Pendragon

Brave soul. I only do backstage and tech. Lights, curtains, that sort of thing. Although this year I'm trying my hands at producing a couple of shows ...one of which, ironically enough, is an interactive murder mystery.

Unfortunatly, the show was sold out by the time I called. But always glad to find another theater lover. Do you work stage at all? Acting or tech?

I didn't realize until today the musical Chicago is coming to the Benendem Center in Pittsburgh next week. That's a no lose situation, I love live theater, Chicago is one of my favorite musicals AND Tom Wopat. And for twently bucks for the peanut gallery tickets, ya'll know I'll be there. Maybe I can convince him to come perform at our community college theater where I'm Vice President of the Theater Guild. Yeah right. Pendragon

I just got back from seeing the movie, I dragged my father along, with the bride of a jumbo popcorn and Jessica Simpson in short shorts. Personally, I though the movie was hysterical. Yes, not the tribute to the show we all know and love but funny in its own right, which was mindless enterainment with really rauchy humor I loved the stunt scenes. If possible they looked better than the series did. I would watch it again, in fact I will probably buy the DVD when it comes out. Pendragon Sidenote: Anyone else catch the preview for Corpse Bride. I love Tim Burton's work. I'll have to see that one.
