  1. "What in blue blazes are ya'll talkin' about?" Bo asks. Luke looks at his younger cousin and grins. "Don't worry 'bout it Bo. What were we lookin' for Cooter?" "Well, I thought ya'll were late 'cause you were lookin' fer a place to have ya'lls race." "It's true me and Des were checkin' out some curvy places, but we ain't decided yet which one is the best. New territory and all ya know. Right sweetheart?" "That's right, we definitely have more explorin' ta do." Luke and Destiny laugh at their private joke. "Will ya'll let us in on the joke." Cooter requests. He's completely baffled with the way Luke is acting too. "Nope." Luke answers still chuckling. "Well shoot fire an' save box matches! I just don't get it. Do ya'll have any clue?" He looks to Bo and Tracy for enlightenment. "Oh I have an idea Cooter." Tracy replies. "An' I think I might be gettin' one." Bo mutters. "Huh?" Cooter is still lost in the conversation. "Nuthin' Cooter, nuthin' at all." "Here ya go fellas, Tracy." Daisy interrupts. "Enjoy these drinks. Hey there cousin, Destiny! 'Bout time ya'll got here. What'll ya have?" "Des?" "Oh, I don't know. I'm in the mood ta try somthin' new. What'll ya'll suggest?" "Well, I guess if'n your brave, you could try some shine." Daisy offers with a grin. "What's shine?" Tracy asks. "That'd be homemade corn whiskey Trace." Bo answers. "But it's awful strong stuff. Are ya sure you can handle it Destiny?" "Actually Bo, I've tried it once before. Just a sip ya gotta understand. Grandpa taught Tom how ta make it a few years ago. I was pretty curious so I snuck off and tried it. I'd only taken my first sip when Daddy caught me. Then Tom got caught with it on school grounds so we were all forbidden ever since." "Got caught huh? I guess me and' Bo know a little 'bout that." "Yeah, jus' a smidgeon." Bo adds with a grin. "That mean ya don't wanna try it since it's forbidden?" Daisy asks. "Sometimes a girl just has ta be rebellious an' do what she wants. And what Daddy don't know... yeah, I think I'll try it." "What 'bout you cousin?" "I'll take the same Daisy." "Comin' up." Daisy says as she swings around and heads back toward the bar. "Is everyone this nice in Hazzard?" Tracy asks. "Generally most are, but there are a few exceptions." Luke states. "An' here comes one now." Bo growls as he sees Rosco approaching their table. "Awright you Dukes, I gotcha now! Jus' freeze!" "What now Rosco?" Bo asks, "We ain't doin' nuthin'."

  3. The stranger starts to stand up when he sees Luke and Destiny come through the door. They have their arms wrapped around each others waists with Destiny's hand in Luke's back pocket. The stranger sits back down in his shadow as the pair pauses to look around the room and notice Bo and Tracy just as the song ends. "Hey Bo! Ya got us a table cuz?" Luke yells over the noise of the crowded bar. "Sure do Lukas. It took ya'll long enough ta get here." Bo answers as he and Tracy approach the late comers. Bo notices how close his cousin and Destiny are standing and how their arms are wrapped around each other. He quirks an eyebrow before waving them to follow him and Tracy to their table. "Hey Luke, Miss Destiny! Pull up some chairs ya'll!" Cooter greets them as they reach the table. Luke grabs two chairs and puts them as close together as he can. He seats Destiny and sits down beside her, putting his arm over the back of her chair. He drops his hand on her shoulder and begins playing with her hair without seeming to realize he was doing it. Bo is still watching his cousin closely. He notices that Luke seems a little flushed, has an extra twinkle in his eyes, and can't stop grinning like an idiot either. 'I've known Luke long enough I guess I know what this means... at least I think I do.' Bo thinks to himself. While Bo is observing Luke, Tracy is looking real close at her friend also. She can see the glow Destiny has as well as the cat got the cream smile she's wearing. "So did ya'll find it?" Cooter asks. Luke and Destiny have no clue that they are being spoken to, they're too busy smiling at each other. Cooter snaps his fingers in front of Luke's face making the two love birds jump. "What Cooter!?" "Sorry buddy-ro, but ya'll were so far gone ya didn't even hear me talkin'." Bo is still watching Luke closely. 'This doesn't seem normal for Luke.' he thinks to himself 'Usually it's me that falls for a girl real quick, Luke is more reserved about it. Maybe I'd better talk to him about this later on.' "Sorry Cooter." Destiny says sheepishly, "I guess me an' Luke were thinkin' 'bout somthin' else. What didja say?" Cooter raises an eyebrow at this but decides to let it pass for the moment. " I was just wonderin' if ya'll found it?" "Found what?" Destiny looks from Cooter to Luke, "You got any idea what we were lookin' for?" "No ma'am, 'sides I ain't the one 'round here that has ideas in their head anyways. That'd be you if I reee-call correctly." Luke grins at her when she blushes. Bo and Cooter look at each other in confusion, they both know Luke is always the one that comes up with the ideas and plans. "Oh sugah, if you only knew all the ideas I got." "I'm hopin' ta find out right soon."

  5. I had this problem with my season 1 set. I couldn't watch the end of The Big Heist or the beginning of Limo One is Missing because it would freeze up. I took the dvds to my parents house and played it on their player, the disc worked fine. I still cannot get those two episodes to work in my dvd player even after numerous cleanings. I haven't had this happen on any of the other seasons though. It doesn't make sense to me, but that's the way it is. I wish you luck.

  7. I tried to go into the theatre with an open mind, and was surprised that I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit. It was really funny and I have to admit that I will probably buy the dvd when it comes out. After the movie was over, our group discussed the similarities of some of the things that had been in the movie to things that have happened to people we know. For example, shooting a hole in the floor board of the truck. It's been done around here. There are many more, but I won't go into anymore detail.

  9. I also have a free ticket and am planning on using it. This way I can see the movie for free, since I was buying season three anyway. Hopefully it'll be worth the gas to get to the theater!

  11. I noticed that too. They used a lot of the same supporting characters. Did you notice that the friend of Luke's Marine buddy Phil was the guy who played Snake Harmon in the Jude Emery episode? That's just one example.

  13. "Yeah, give me a beer Daisy, in a frosted mug if'n you don't mind." Bo requests. "Me too." Cooter adds. "Okay, comin' right up. Hey, where's Luke an' Destiny?" "They said they was gonna drive around a little first. Probably lookin' fer a good racin' place or somethin'" Bo answers. "Woooweeee! I cain't hardly wait ta see that!" Cooter bursts out, "This might be one the General won't win. Ain't been a close call for the General 'ceptin' for that ol' Double D." Tracy smiles and laughs quietly. "What's so funny honey?" Bo asks. He doesn't find anything funny about another car even almost beating the General Lee. "Double D huh? Those might be the letters that jinx your car then." "Whatcha mean?" wonders Cooter. "Don't you get it Bo? Double D? Destiny Dawn?" Tracy looks from Bo to Daisy. "Oh, I get it." Daisy giggles as she heads to the bar to fill their order. "I never even caught that." Bo replies seriously. He turns to Cooter who still has a confused look on his face. "Dawn is Destiny's last name." "Ooohhhhh." "Don't you mean her back handle Bo?" Tracy laughs again. "Yer catchin' on quick Trace. Ya know, I was meanin' ta ask ya before, what's yer CB handle mean? Rose Runner wasn't it?" At this innocently asked question Tracy's face loses its smile and she becomes very serious. "It's a long story Bo. I really don't want to talk about it. Why don't you show me how to do some jukin' instead? Please?" Bo looks at her with concern for a minute, but then grins. "Yer wish is my command malady." Bo jumps up and takes Tracy's hand to lead her to the dance floor. He then proceeds to show her how much fun jukin' could be. They didn't know they were being watched from the corner of the room. Balladeer: Uh oh. Now who's the stranger an' how come he's watchin' those two so close? I don't know about ya'll, but I don't like the look of that scowl on his face.

  15. "Here we are Miss Tracy. Safe an' sound." "Bo, you drive jus' like Des does. I should be used to it by now, but I'm not. You two scare me to death. Oh, and by the way, just call me Trace okay?" "Sure thing Trace. I didn't mean ta scare ya, I always drive like that." Bo grins at her. "Hang tight a sec an' I'll help ya out." Bo expertly slides out the driver side window and swiftly moves around to the passenger side. "Here we go, jus' slide on up here to the windah an' I'll help ya out." "I still can't believe you welded the doors shut." Tracy can't help but comment as she follows his instructions. "The General here's a racin' car Trace. We had ta weld the doors shut fer safety. 'Sides ya get used to it in no time atall." "If you say so Bo." Tracy says with disbelief as Bo holds open the door to the Boars Nest for her. They step inside and Bo glances around. He spots Daisy behind the bar and gives her a little wave. Daisy smiles back at them before continuing to fill an order. Bo continues to scan the crowd, searching for one particular face. "There's Cooter." Bo comments to Tracy. "Hey Cooter!" he yells across the din of the room. "Hey Bo! Come on over, plenty of room!" Bo and Tracy move between chairs and people over to Cooter's table. "Hello Cooter." Tracy greets him as Bo seats her. "Well howdy Miss Tracy. Might I say yer lookin' 'specially purty tanight." "Cooter! Quit tryin' ta steal my date!" Bo exclaims with a grin. "Aaaaawwwwwww, Bo I-" "Somethin' ta wet yer whistles fellas, Tracy?" Daisy interrupts with a wink for Tracy. "I'm not much of a drinker Daisy. Do you have anything light?" Tracy asks. "Well, we've got watered down beer, rootbeer, ginger ale, and of course butter milk." "I think I'll just have a rootbeer then." "Awright, fellas?"

  17. "Weelllllll... it's sittin' right there, so bring yer cute self over here. We got some tourin' ta do an' I aim ta get started right now." she finishes with a smile. Luke's ice blue eyes take on a new sparkle and he doesn't hesitate. "Yes ma'am!" Luke met her halfway and their lips softly meet. It only takes a moment before things turn more passionate. They pull away from each other a few minutes later. Destiny's mind races as she tries to get herself, including her breathing, under control. 'Dang,' she thinks to herself, 'That's the most powerful kiss I ever had. I'm surprised we didn't set Jesse on fire.' Luke's mind is racing too. 'I ain't never felt nuthin' like that, not with any of the other girls I've kissed. Heck, not even with Amy Creavy, that girl racer from a few years back. I don't think I'll have any problems failin' this time.' Luke then notices Destiny is grinning at him. "What's so funny?" "Your hair is standin' up all over the place an' you've got lipstick all over yer mouth." Destiny giggles. "That ain't nuthin' ta worry 'bout sweetheart. I clean up pretty easy." He starts fixing his hair back into its normal style. "Now wait a minute here, who said I was done?" As soon as the words were out of her mouth Luke was cupping her face in his hands and they were once again kissing passionately. Balledeer: We don't need to see this do we? I didn't think so. Meanwhile ol' Bo and Miss Tracy are pullin' inta the Boars Nest parkin' lot.

  19. "Lost Sheep Two, ya got yer ears on? Come back." Luke says into the CB mike. "This here's Lost Sheep Two comin' back atcha. Yer wall ta wall an' ready ta squall Lost Sheep One." "Just makin' sure yer behavin' yerself Bo an' keepin' yer hands on the wheel." "Very funny Lukas. Yer gonna have Miss Tracy thinkin' I ain't a gentleman." Luke explodes with laughter. "Like I said Bo, I was jus' checkin'. I'm gone." Luke chuckles some more as he hangs up the mike. "Luke! You're terrible! One of these days he's gonna get ya with somethin' that'll knock yer socks off." "Miss Destiny, don't let Bo fool ya none. He likes ta put on that pretty blonde act, but he's got more smarts than he lets on. He gets me good ever now an' again. But you don't have ta worry 'bout ol' Bo, he's been dealin' with me for a long time now." "Have ya'll lived with Uncle Jesse long?" "Yep, Uncle Jesse took us all in when we was kids. We grew up tagether on the farm. Bo an' Daisy are more like my brother and sister than my cousins." "Well sugah, let me warn ya. Brothers tend ta give back as hard as they receive. I still think Bo is gonna shock ya one of these days." "Point taken Miss Destiny. Now let me return the favor, Dead Man's corner is comin' up here in a minute. Ya might wanna back off'n that hammer a might, it's a pretty good curve.... kinda like the one that starts 'bout here." Luke squeezes Destiny's hip as he finishes the sentence. "Why I declare Mr. Duke! Yer hands sure ain't where their supposed ta be are they?" Destiny looks at the grin on Luke's face and shakes her head in amusement. "Why do I get the feelin' you've done this before?" "Ah, but never with anyone like you Miss Destiny." Luke continues to grin at her and gives a slow wink. Destiny again glances at Luke and pulls the car off to the side of the road. She reaches out and grabs the CB mike. "This here's Dawn Buster callin' the Rose Runner. Come back." "What'cha doin'?" Luke asks. Destiny shakes her head again before answering him. "You jus' hold still a minute, I'll get ta you." "You're coming in loud and clear Dawn Buster. What's up?" Tracy's voice comes thru the CB. "Hey Rose, I jus' wanted ta tell ya'll not ta wait for us. Me an' this little lost sheep here are gonna tour 'round a bit 'fore we come in. We'll meetcha there." "Okay Des, over and out." Destiny hangs up the CB mike and turns in her seat to look at Luke. "Now Mr. Duke, we need ta have a little talk. There seems ta be that there's somethin' you need ta know 'bout me sugah." Destiny looks him up and down slowly. Luke arches an eyebrow at her in question. "What's that Miss Destiny?" he asks. Destiny sighs. "Okay, make that two. First, call me Des. By the time you get all that Miss stuff out we've done wasted precious seconds." "Awright Des, an' what's yer second point?" "I was jus' gettin' ta that. Honey, the second point is that I usually get what I want. Do ya know what I want right now?" "Nope, I ain't got a single idea in my head." Luke replies curiously.

"Well, I guess Uncle Jesse is a right smart man hisself then." Destiny grins as Uncle Jesse lightly blushes from the compliment. The Duke cousins laugh at this and Uncle Jesse joins in. Balladeer: Folks, it seems these gals are gonna settle in real nice at the Duke farm. 'Course Uncle Jesse still can't get over Miss Destiny's car and ya'll know she had ta explain everythin' about him all over again don'tcha? They all spent the rest of the day gettin' ta know one another while doing chores around the farm and before they knew it, it was time for ol' Bo's jukin' date. Here comes those two cars flyin' down the road now.

  23. "Well, we were actually jus' passin' through 'til we met these here boys. We're on a road trip, jus' drivin' and seein' the sights, takin' some time off." "Where are ya'll from?" "We're both from the great state of Missouri. Trace here is from the city, several different ones 'til she landed in Jefferson. Now me, I was born and raised on a place jus' like this. A nice little farm in the middle of the Ozark Hills." "Yeah, and she knows each of those hills like the back of her hand." Tracy adds with amusement. "Not true, I'm sure there's lots of places I ain't discovered yet. 'Specially caves, I know there's hundreds of 'em I ain't explored yet." "Caves? I like explorin', but I'd rather not be in no caves. I hate crawlin' 'round in them creepy caves!" Bo exclaims. "Yeah, and it gets a might cramped in some of 'em." Luke adds thinking of the time he and Bo were trapped inside an old mining cave. It had been an almost terrifying experience, bringing on flashbacks from his time in Vietnam while he was in the Marines. Those are memories that Luke would much rather forget. "Uncle Jesse, did you see Miss Destiny's car?" Luke changes the subject. "It's purely a sight ta behold. It might be pert near the only car that could match up to the General." "Oh ho! So that's what caught ya'lls attention huh?" Daisy laughs. "Well, not totally." Luke grins sheepishly. "Uh, Uncle Jesse, we was hopin' it'd be awright for the girls ta stay here while theys in town. Me an' Luke are willin' ta take our sleepin' bags inta the parlor." Bo says. "Well now, you ladies are welcome ta stay as long as ya want to." "Thank you sir. I'm more than willin' ta help out with the farm chores an' all. I'm sure Trace is to, 'ceptin' she's prob'ly better at chores 'round the house." "What!!! You's both guests! Guests don't work fer their keep!" Uncle Jesse exclaims, "An' don't call me sir, makes me feel old before my time. Jus' call me Jesse." Destiny looks at Tracy and giggles. "What's so funny?" Daisy asks looking at the two other girls. "It jus' might be a bit confusin' callin' you Jesse, under the circumstances sir, uh, I mean Mr. Duke." "Whatcha mean?" "Well Mr. Duke, ya see, Jesse James is the name of my car. Most of the time we lovin'ly refer ta him as Jesse." "What do you mean we? Don't you mean you? It's your car." Tracy interjects. Destiny glares at her. "I see now. Awright, you's can jus' call me Uncle Jesse then. Most people seem to 'round here anyways." "Say, don't ya'll have any family a wonderin' about ya?" Daisy wonders out loud. "Not me." Tracy sighs. "I don't have any close family left." Luke and Bo look at each other. Bo starts to say something but Luke gives him a swift jab with his elbow. "Oowww, Luke that hurt!!!" "What 'bout you Miss Destiny?" Luke asks quietly giving Bo a warning look. "I got lots of kin. My parents are still on the farm an' I got two older brothers. Tom, he's the oldest, runs heavy equipment in the local rock quarry. He's kind of a homebody, likes messin' 'round with engines an' stuff. Now John, he's a welder. He's real creative an' comes up with some real neat stuff. He married a gal from California, a great gal. She's more like a sister than a in-law. Besides them, I've got lots of aunts, uncles, an' cousins runnin' 'round. We're a pretty big family, but they won't be worried. They know I can take care of myself." "That's when I start worryin'." comments Uncle Jesse. "Are ya'll pretty close then?" asks Daisy. "Mama always says family is the most important thing after the good Lord that is. We tend ta stick tagether pretty well." "Yer mama sounds like a right smart lady." Uncle Jesse says while eyeing his niece and two nephews.
