Garrett Duke was working on his vehicle outside of his apartment when his thoughts and concentration was abruptly shattered by a door slamming shut. Taking a deep breath, he slowly stands up and turns around to stand face to face to Jesse Duke. "What you think you're doing, boy?" Jesse says, his voice thick with disappointment and concern. Garrett looks away in attempt to hide his anger before looking back at his uncle. "I'm working on my wrecked car," he dryly states, putting emphasis on wrecked. "Not no more you ain't," Jesse states in a matter of fact tone, "get in the truck." Garrett goes to protest only to be cut off by angry blue eyes of his uncle. Shaking his head in defeat, he throws down the oil stained towel he was clenching onto onto the roof of his car before looking angrily up at Jesse before turning around and climbing into the cab of the old white Ford truck. They drive a long awkward five minutes in silence before Jesse interrupts the piercing silence by saying, "Everyone is at the Boars Nest celebrating what was suppose to be a fun race," he pauses, his voice drips of disappointment, "and you run off to pout because you didn't cross the line first." Jesse shakes his head. "I'm disappointed in you and your un-sportsmanship. You can't even congratulate yourself. Too busy feeling sorry for yourself. But you know what? Not everything is about you." Jesse allows more silence in the cab of his truck as Garrett stares out his window. "I thought I raised you better than this." Garrett quickly glares at his uncle in disbelief. "I ain't Bo or Luke," he states in disgust and disbelief, "you didn't raise me." Jesse nods at his mistake. "You're right, I didn't," he pauses, "then your father did a bad job at raising you." "You know nothing of how I was raised," Garrett states before letting out a deep breath. He knew of the bad relationship between the two and knew nothing he said would change Jesse's mind. Plus his dad was the one who sent him to Hazzard, so Garrett wasn't in the mood to argue with Jesse. He knew he wouldn't win any how. Changing the topic, he says, "You call me un-sportsmanship. I raced that race fair and square. And what do I have to show for it? A wrecked car." "Well good. I'm proud of you for racing your race fair and square," Jesse states, "but you can't control how others race you or treat you. The only person you have control over is yourself and how you react. And right now you are acting like a toddler without a nap not getting that cherished toy the toddler would want. So, in a few minutes we will be walking into the Boar's Nest and YOU are going to walk over to Hobie. Shake his hand and meaningfully congratulate him. Understand?" "Yeah," Garrett sighs in resignation. (Sorry for the long post)

It's always a good time at the Boar's Nest.

Well cousin Roger, Cousin Garrett and all the rest, need to meet at the Boar's Nest with Hobie and the others. ( I sure hope Daisy and Meadow are in there! )

After finishing the race in whatever position, he ended up in, Garrett watches everyone walking into the Boars Nest to celebrate either a race won or a race fought. Shaking his head he looks at his beaten-up Spittin' Cobra in anger. He raced that race hard and clean and yet still lost and his beloved car took the beaten on due to it all. Feeling his anger toward how he was raced and how his car was disrespected by others around him, he knows better than to step foot in the Boars Nest with everyone celebrating. He takes a long glare at the Boars Nest he shakes his head in disgust before climbing back into the Spittin' Cobra and sighs in relief as it starts right up with a powerful roar. "Good race," he pats the dashboard of his beloved car, "let's go get you fixed up." With that he drives off towards home where he will work and fix on his beloved car to make it back to perfect once again.

"What the -" Garrett lets his sentence drag off in surprise at seeing Hobie flash by him before he straightening up in his seat and aggressively forces Spittin Cobra to forward at somehow a faster pace. "So this is how ya wanna play?" he hisses as he charges alongside Hobie.

Garrett watches everyone up front with dismay. Even with everything but the best under his hood and in his tank, it wasn't enough to out run everyone's shine they seem to be using and drinking. Thinking of their drinking, Garrett gains a little confidence in knowing that he should be able to outsmart them being sober. and begins to think of other options before he notices a side road on the right and he quickly turns right onto the bumpy and rough road that is surrounded by trees and weeds. He holds onto the steering wheel tightly as he is bounced around with his foot all the way on the accelerator. Following the trail around curves and fallen branches he makes his way around a curve to see the opening that leads back onto the track everyone is on. Hoping for the best, he pushes the accelerator down and feels his car jolt forward before he is thrown back on to the track, right next to everyone else! "Surprise!" he yells out his window as he inches ahead of everyone.

Garrett just nods at him as he stares at the road ahead. Looking back in his rearview mirror he sees everyone getting closer as he fights with Skipper. Looking back at Skipper he is impressed by the manpower and speed of his car. But what everyone doesn't know, is that he has a souped up Jeff Gordon engine under his hood. The same engine that brought Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag and championships many times. "See ya later," Garrett shouts at Skipper as he presses the accelerator to the floor and Spittin' Cobra flies ahead and Garrett cuts Skipper off again before rushing ahead.

Garrett Duke struggles off Hobie while watching everyone fight over moonshine. "Amateurs," he scoffs as he abruptly turns right onto an off road area. He braces himself through the rough terrain and swipes left to miss a fallen log before the path abruptly turns back onto the road and Garrett laughs to see Hobie several car lengths behind him now.

Garrett seeing Skipper attempting to edge closer to him, Garrett waves out the window and applies more pressure to the accelerator to make Spittin' Cobra, his car, to jump ahead more.

Little after thought. Always wondered why the sirens on the sheriff's cars were blue with no red. Another reason I liked Road Pirates so much was cause of the scenes where the pull the sirens off the car so I always perplexed about the lack of red.

My name is from the character on the show ( he was in 2-3 episodes) and he was the town drunk. I got his name because I like to drink but I'm not an alcoholic ( about 3 beers at one time......I know....I'm a hard core bad boy!! LOL! ....also because he's funny. Have you ever seen Hobie Hartkins?

I know it's probably a bit different since instead of mentioning the Dukes it was actually made for the TV movie from 2007 (I know) but the song Duke Boys Swingin' with John Anderson and Cowboy Troy is a really good song. Cowboy Troy's bit actually describes the show perfectly.

Growing up Dale Earndhart, Jr was my favorite. When I played the NASCAR game most recently I played as Danica Patrick for the fact she was a girl but never saw her race. The one I really like to root for now is Frankie Muniz.

Skipper sees Garrett, and Uncle Jesse come in. He rushed over to them. "Hey Uncle Jesse. Garrett. Garrett, I'm sorry about cheating and wrecking your car. I want to buy you a beer to apologize to you. Please join me. Uncle Jesse, you too. No hard feelings about you stealing the Coconut Moonshine or disconnecting the Minnow trailer from my car."

Walking into the Boar's Nest with his head down, Garrett sighs and looks up and looks through the crowd before finding Hobie. He makes a slow and long thoughtful walk over to Hobie where he looks up and gives Hobie a confident smile and puts his hand out and says, "Congratulations Hobie on a great race." He surprises himself that he actually means and finds himself buying into Jesse's speech. "But next year, that trophy is coming back home with me." He gives him a smile before he walks over to Bo and Luke who congratulate him on a well raced race. Garrett only shrugs it off before before Jesse and everyone starts asking him if he finished second after Hobie. Garrett shrugs. He'd be ok with second. Just not with the wrecked race car. Taking a deep breath he slowly admits out loud, "I don't really know where I placed," he pauses, "I just knew I wasn't first." He shrugs again before Cooter hands him a beer and he slowly takes a long drink before slowly stating, "I apologize for how I acted and not celebrating with you all for the fun race."

Well fellow Hazzardites....I know it's late but I'm here drinkin' Beer and watching the one where Uncle Silas made Jessie the executor of his will....remember? I'm almost done with season 7 and so then it'll be back to season 1 !! I'm on my 3rd 16 oz. ( I usually drink 12 oz. cans.) can of Bud Ice! I'll be back around to the beginning soon! What's been happening with everybody?.....WHERE is everybody?? It's Dukes Of Hazzard Day! Happy DOHD everybody!

My new favorite thing is watching people from all over the world getting to experience the US for the first time while they're here for the World Cup. I especially love seeing the Tartan Army (seeing as I'm about half Scottish) and the folks experiencing the South (authentic BBQ anyone?). Boston has a large population with Scots-Irish ancestry, as does the South, so it's not surprising they're feeling like kindred spirits.

The Tartan Army are confusing the people of Boston by putting traffic cones on statues.

Hey Hobie! Yes I remember him! I turn 60 in September. I reside in Clearwater, FL.

unseen and all but forgotten, Hobie powers through the pack and puts his hammer down and passes everybody!....Even Garrett! He still remembers the Butt kicking Garrett gave him last year! LOL! ( He is also still wondering what's under his hood?) Hobie's also worried about Cousin Roger AND he is STILL trying to find Daisy and Meadow either on the track or in the stands! ( Hobie loves looking at the pretty women! )

Garrett felt guilty passing Jesse as he saw the dirt bike on fire, but seeing he was ok, he floored the accelerator to the floor only for him to hear the dirt bike explode behind him. He contemplated going back to check on him as it seems as he has already lost the race. He was angry and disappointed in himself, but he knew he was racing the honest way without using alcohol from anyone else. Just the best gas he had gotten. Pure NASCAR gold gas that he had gotten when he gotten Jeff Gordon's engine. Just as he thought more of turning around, he spots a dirt bike with Jesse on it behind him. "What the heck?" he says a loud before exhaling a deep breath of relief at seeing him ok. With seeing Jesse was Ok gave Garrett another surge of adrenaline and he shoved his car faster forward. He was never one to give up on a race until it was over.

When I was a kid we used to watch this cartoon on Disney channel and there was a "magical baby" then the next episode they were making statements like "Who did it then Ron the baby?" Im like we just saw the kids magic. Another victim of the machete order. There's actually an episode where they jump the road runner and keep mentioning daisy wanting to hurt them if they mess it up. FORESHADOWING what was gonna happen in what was intended to be the next episode but the executives denied it lol. This is also why we see Rosco and his replacements come and go. Like lester, than Rosco's, than the other guy, then back to Rosco again.

EVERY ENDING was happy

I watched those episodes when they originally aired and I didn't even notice at the time. (I'd make a terrible detective....lol) There was no social media so I never knew it until I heard it here.

In season 2 Daisy's Road Runner is destroyed and then comes back without explanation in episodes after before the season ends. This is due to what is known as a "machete" order. Where corporate executives try to dictate the order of episodes based on what they think would be more popular instead of letting them air in the order intended.

Do you guys prefer Racing for Home or Daisy Dukes it Out? I'm about to start playing the second one on an emulator until I can get a physical copy and I'm curious. I saw a video once saying it was a bad game and I think it's just young people referring to older graphics cause so far the game looks really cool. I've only ever played the first and third games. I had beaten the first growing up but I always got stuck trying to follow Enos on the third

Hey my fellow Hazzardites! I'm watching Moon Runners right now! You guys have seen that one haven't you? It's the one that started it all! If you haven't, you need to see it! It's funny and at the same time, closer to what the lifestyle is really like but I didn't like it when Jesse died but besides that, it was a good movie!

The missions as Uncle Jesse in Black Tilly on Tuff were insanely hard at first lol

Hobie just got back in the action after a delayed pit stop! He knows the Moonshine Mauler has the power to out run everyone but he's not sure when to make his move! He just gets on the straightway of the track and puts his heel to the steel! He's passing all kinds of racers.....he still hasn't seen Meadow or Daisy yet!

Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) confessed it's awful. In an interview he said "I asked the prop man what's going to be used for the raw liver? He said he looked around, and the only thing he could find that looked like raw liver was raw liver. They put a plate of it down in front of me, and I said "What the hell. It can't kill you. But I'll tell you, it sure tastes sickening." 😂

I love Coy and Vance! No disrespect to anyone because it's not the actors vault but I would rather watch some Coy and Vance then ANY episode without Rosco or Cooter. As in their "replacements". I'm a way Coy and Vance are obviously meant to be copies but they still feel like their own guys. Way more positive and cheerful almost cartoonishly so but it has a charm that works. Have Lester try to act like Rosco after being introduced as some mean dude the blunders seem so forced it doesn't work at all. Same with Cooter's cousins when he sticks his tongue out the exact same way Cooter would. Coy and Vance had the same lines but they were delivered differently and I enjoy it. Plus who doesn't like seeing Enos and Cletus share a squad car in season 5?

I love this series. I really hope we can recover the missing episodes and remaster the ones we have

This case was made up by someone a few years ago. The cars are glued in place and there's a light in there that takes a battery in it so it can light up like a proper display case but I can't always get it to work. The car below was my dad's but he gave it to me when I was a kid after I broke the wheels off mine making it do jumps haha. I do know the bigger car came in the ERTL box that had the flag on the package and a picture of everyone on the backdrop inside.

IMDb lists it on the soundtrack. I'll have to dig out my DVD.

Well I'm sure for most of you, I don't have to say who's my favorite driver. But I'll put it here for the newbies. My all time favorite driver is Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. I do like Dale Earnhardt Jr as well. My favorite current driver is Chase Elliott. I'm all for team Hendrick.
