"What the -" Garrett lets his sentence drag off in surprise at seeing Hobie flash by him before he straightening up in his seat and aggressively forces Spittin Cobra to forward at somehow a faster pace. "So this is how ya wanna play?" he hisses as he charges alongside Hobie.

Garrett watches everyone up front with dismay. Even with everything but the best under his hood and in his tank, it wasn't enough to out run everyone's shine they seem to be using and drinking. Thinking of their drinking, Garrett gains a little confidence in knowing that he should be able to outsmart them being sober. and begins to think of other options before he notices a side road on the right and he quickly turns right onto the bumpy and rough road that is surrounded by trees and weeds. He holds onto the steering wheel tightly as he is bounced around with his foot all the way on the accelerator. Following the trail around curves and fallen branches he makes his way around a curve to see the opening that leads back onto the track everyone is on. Hoping for the best, he pushes the accelerator down and feels his car jolt forward before he is thrown back on to the track, right next to everyone else! "Surprise!" he yells out his window as he inches ahead of everyone.

Right at the last straightaway on the track and heading for home, Hobie slams his foot down on the gas and prays his engine doesn't explode and that he has enough shine to last and to get his engine to the Finish line and to get him to the Boar's Nest! Hobie crosses the line first and waves at the crowd! When he got out of the Moonshine Mauler, he went straight in to the Boar's Nest for a cold one and that's where he finally found Daisy and Meadow....sitting at a table and waiting on HIM! This is when he felt like the race had REALLY been won! ( Although winning the 2nd Annual Moon Shine 400, was nice too! ) IT WAS A GREAT RACE BUT THE TOWN DRUNK WON IT!! BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR GUYS!! LOL!

Hey Hobie! Yes I remember him! I turn 60 in September. I reside in Clearwater, FL.

unseen and all but forgotten, Hobie powers through the pack and puts his hammer down and passes everybody!....Even Garrett! He still remembers the Butt kicking Garrett gave him last year! LOL! ( He is also still wondering what's under his hood?) Hobie's also worried about Cousin Roger AND he is STILL trying to find Daisy and Meadow either on the track or in the stands! ( Hobie loves looking at the pretty women! )

Garrett felt guilty passing Jesse as he saw the dirt bike on fire, but seeing he was ok, he floored the accelerator to the floor only for him to hear the dirt bike explode behind him. He contemplated going back to check on him as it seems as he has already lost the race. He was angry and disappointed in himself, but he knew he was racing the honest way without using alcohol from anyone else. Just the best gas he had gotten. Pure NASCAR gold gas that he had gotten when he gotten Jeff Gordon's engine. Just as he thought more of turning around, he spots a dirt bike with Jesse on it behind him. "What the heck?" he says a loud before exhaling a deep breath of relief at seeing him ok. With seeing Jesse was Ok gave Garrett another surge of adrenaline and he shoved his car faster forward. He was never one to give up on a race until it was over.

When I was a kid we used to watch this cartoon on Disney channel and there was a "magical baby" then the next episode they were making statements like "Who did it then Ron the baby?" Im like we just saw the kids magic. Another victim of the machete order. There's actually an episode where they jump the road runner and keep mentioning daisy wanting to hurt them if they mess it up. FORESHADOWING what was gonna happen in what was intended to be the next episode but the executives denied it lol. This is also why we see Rosco and his replacements come and go. Like lester, than Rosco's, than the other guy, then back to Rosco again.

It was Emma. At first she didn't realize the charred, burning pile of metal was her second dirt bike but because her crush on Jesse was so strong she took it well after he revealed it. "Here Jesse, use this one. It's identical. They will never know." Jesse hopped on right away. "But I can't leave you here Emma" She hopped on the back and gave his big belly a hug from behind, happy to be close to her dream man. "I'm ready for our race date Jesse. Let 'er rip!"

EVERY ENDING was happy

I watched those episodes when they originally aired and I didn't even notice at the time. (I'd make a terrible detective....lol) There was no social media so I never knew it until I heard it here.

In season 2 Daisy's Road Runner is destroyed and then comes back without explanation in episodes after before the season ends. This is due to what is known as a "machete" order. Where corporate executives try to dictate the order of episodes based on what they think would be more popular instead of letting them air in the order intended.

With Emma hanging on tightly Jesse seems happy to be settling for fourth. Considering what he has been through that is quite an accomplishment. Then he looks in the rear view mirror and to his horror, sees a challenger to his fourth place goal. It's an Indy car and it's Hoss at the wheel.

Ok, I think my calendar will be free to update the site sometime in July. Unless something changes to push it up, I'm looking at just after July 4th. Been super busy with lots of medical appointments (fortunately good news this time) and business-related stuff, so this fell off my radar. I think we agreed on a Wednesday or Thursday, so that would be July 8th or 9th.

A feature that the Formula 1 YouTube channel has recently introduced is a ghost car comparison of the fight for pole position. It's very interesting to see where the cars and drivers get a slight advantage over each other. You can see George Russell vs Lewis Hamilton here.

Some past Spanish grands prix have been processional, but not today. George Russell took pole in qualifying yesterday with Lewis Hamilton second and championship leader Kimi Antonelli in third. Charles Leclerc crashed his Ferrari in qualifying and started tenth. Despite Lewis (and Max Verstappen in fifth) starting on the soft tires, the top drivers held position at the start. Lewis was then first to take a pit stop. With a powerful undercut at this track, Mercedes had to cover off the stop by ptting race leader George. After Lewis took a second stop, he was taking 2.5 seconds out of the leaders' advantage. With Lewis closing in, Mercedes pitted both of their drivers giving Lewis the lead. Then Ferrari had a bit of luck when Fernando Alonso had to stop his Aston Martin triggereing a vitrual safety car. That gave Lewis a chance to make his final stop and stay in the lead. Toward the end, Kimi put George under a lot of pressure and eventually took second place, but it didn't last long as Kimi had his first mechanical failure of the year and had to retire. Chsrles also had to retire around the same time, but made it back to pits. That left Lewis to win by nearly 20 seconds ahead of George in second and reigning world champion Lando Norris in third. Race highlights are here. It's great to see Lewis take his first win for Ferrari after a tough 2025 when he didn't even make the podium. At 41, he's the oldest driver to win an F1 race since 1970, and it's the first all-British podium since 1968. Kimi still leads the drivers' championship, but Lewis has moved ahead of George to take second. There's two weeks until the next race in Austria.

Jesse has the throttle wide open but knows he is too far back to win. It looks like he will have to settle for fourth place at this point. He knows he shouldn't have had Elon put that computer on the motorcycle. Even though it wasn't on when the bike caught fire and blew up, the damage it did to the alternator must have been what caused the problem in the middle of the race. High tech and Hazzard County just don't mix. Looks like he'll have to wait until next year to beat Skipper, Garrett and Hobie. At least he will probably beat all the others. Once again Emma yells "Let 'er rip!"

Skipper is in the final stretch. He sees the finished line coming up. He puts his heel to the steel, the pedal to the metal. He pushes his Shelby GT 500 Mustang as fast as it will go. He's sipping on Mr. Howell's Brandy Peaches Moonshine without a care in the world, well, except for 1 that is. To cross that finished line, get the 1st place winning money, the trophy and buy the S. S. Minnow II to continue the charter business.

Before the Spanish Grand Prix, a bit of news from the Monaco Grand Prix. The Alpine team have successfully appealed Pierre Gasly's pit lane speeding penalty which demoted him from third to seventh, and his original finishing position has now been reinstated. They showed that drivers could legally take a shorter route at the pit entry which reduced their time between two marker points without exceeding the speed limit. It doesn't look like the other teams affected are going to appeal their drivers' penalties.

And then things got even worse for Jesse. The fire reignited and he wasn't able to put it out this time. He ran away from the motorcyle, knowing what was about to happen. Just as he got out of harm's way the Yamaha went up in a fireball because of the power of Professor's fuel. He felt the blast and could feel the heat but he was okay. It looks like another year with no trophy. But that wasn't the worst of it. How would he tell Emma her back up dirt bike was destroyed. Just when it appeared he wouldn't see the checkered flag, a Hazzard miracle appeared from around the corner.

What Uncle Jesse doesn't know, is the Skipper had backup moonshine with him inside the car. 2 jugs of Mr. Thurston Howell III's famous Brandy Peaches. He converted this to Moonshine and supplied the Skipper with this backup fuel in case someone decided to steal the Professor's Coconut Shine.

several people on the sidelines are smelling the unmistakable smell of Homemade Hooch! Hobie's engine is cranked to the max as he brings it around the curve and into the next straightaway! He's burning Shine like it was water and blowing by everybody!

I like Chase Elliott. His dad was mentioned on the Dukes so that's enough to make me a fan. Plus he's from northern Georgia, just like the Dukes.

Does anyone know any names of the songs that are used when the Dukes are gettin' away in the General?

Your profile says that you joined in 2006 and this is your second post so you're right about that. Hoss has me beat. I don't know which episodes the other two are from but I'm suspecting Mason Dixon's Girls on the one on the left. It must be cool to have a General Lee that is actually from 1969. We look forward to hearing more from you.
