Thank you for the warm welcome. Earlier this week when I was traveling from West LA to Burbank, I put the address for Sorrell's home in Sherman Oaks into my GPS, since it wasn't really out of my way! It led me to this two-car garage located on a windy narrow hillside street in Sherman Oaks. I assume that there are a set of stairs on the side of the garage and that the house is below it.

So, there's been a lot going on with me lately and I obviously missed the July 8th or 9th date. I am too fatigued/brain fogged to do the update this week, so I'm going to shoot for the 22nd or 23rd. The site will be down in the wee hours as I completely back everything up and start the upgrade. There is also a good chance I will forget again. But the good news is I have til the end of the year to remember.

I read John Schieders recent book, Livining "My Life My Way" John talked about how Sorrell would sometimes host the cast at his home in Sherman Oaks. John also mentioned in the book that Sorrell would show up to work at WB, and he drove an old Volvo. I guess Sorrell had more than one house.

Been a bit busy but hope y'all are doing well! Been listening to the dukes of hazzard album on spotify! A lot of trivia in that album. Never realized Tom Wopat sang, what is now my favorite version, of Up on Cripple Creek! Also made the General Lee in GTA! Sadly no rebel flag but I put the "Norwegian" flag on my roof in the game cause it looked the most similar when going a 100 miles down the digital highway lol

Yes, they were released here and the DVDs are still easily available.

Another Country song I'm hearing most days on the radio is 'Dry Spell' by Kacey Musgraves. I really like the innuendo-laced lyrics that treat the subject matter with a lot of humor without going too far. I've just watched the video for the first time, and it just adds to the fun. Maybe the British movies and TV shows I grew up with in the '70s and '80s make me appreciate it more!

I have. At Christmas time last year, WB had an event on the town square that was primarily aimed at Gilmore Girls fans. You could pay to get in and walk around the town square freely all day. I truly enjoyed it, even though I was a Dukes fan more so than a Gilmore Girls fan! lol WB will most likely have the same event at Christmas time later this year!

He passed away in Sherman Oaks, so he may have moved or had more than one house. His Sherman Oaks home was sold in August of 1994, 6 months after he passed. One of the secrets to happiness is to tune out the bad things and focus on the good. I have met several of the stars but John is not one of them. You are lucky and should be thankful. Those great memories will last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing them with us.

That is pretty sad. I'm the type who gets attached to things and this brings back memories of how sad I felt when the original Dukes farmhouse in Georgia got tore down. It was nice of the owners grandson to join HazzardNet and keep us updated. These pictures are a little odd though. I wonder why the new driveway veers off to the right like that.

I was 16. This 250 celebration didn't seem as big but I'm sure 300 will be huge. I'll be hanging out in Hazzard Heaven then.....the only place better than the USA to live!

I was 5, and I don't think it made it onto my radar being 3,000 miles away. I do remember dressing in red, white and blue a year later for Queen Elizabeth II's silver jubilee.

Don't get complacent after you get the vaccine, you still can be a carrier and infect others. One lady I do odd-jobs for recently went out to eat with old co workers since she got both shots if the pfizer vaccine. Turns out one if the co workers had covid and didn't show signs till the day after. Now she and everyone else in the group has to quarantine for the next 7-10 days. Her Dr also told her she might experience mild covid symptoms but should be fine though she does have underlying health conditions so hopefully the vaccine will help her body's immune system kick covid's butt. Be vigilant, wear your masks and social distance at least until everyone who wants the vaccine gets it.

There's a saying in economics, the more you have of something, the less it's worth. I think you are on to something Spike. We get lectured so much we've stopped taking the warnings seriously because there are so many of them that they have lost their worth. Adults are no different than kids. If you yell at your kids constantly they stop taking you seriously. If you rarely yell, they really listen when you do.

I Love Gir! I played the playstation 1 version of the game and found it ok. I especially liked the junkyard and fairgrounds. Cooter's wrecker handles awesome!

RFH was alright for it's time. My advice: don't play Daisy Dukes it Out. As flawed as RFH was DDO is even worse. ROTGL has great graphics and a pretty decent story, but the best handling car is Cooter's Truck. The General's gonna be slip-sliding all over the place, ESPECIALLY when you get the tire upgrade.

I just bought this game used an' got it yesterday, an' boy am I glad I did. Bought it used, that is. This game is actually WORSE than th' first one. Th' handlin' on ALL th' cars've completely gone to pot. While th' levels are much bigger, some've th' graphics have suffered such as character models an' environmentals. At least this time around th' back o' th' General is black. An' what is up with th' load time 'tween flamin' areas? Plus, th' damage ya take to th' car is way up from th' first game, makin' it so after a couple small hits ya lose. I think I'm gonna hold off on th' newer Dukes game till it hits th' bargain bins.

I know the smoke has spread over a large area of the northern United States, but it hasn't made it across the Atlantic. It may, however, affect the air quality at Sunday's World Cup final in New Jersey.

Irish actress Brenda Fricker, who was the Central Park pigeon lady in Home Alone 2, has passed away at the age of 81. She won an Oscar for her role in 'My Left Foot' and was one of the original cast members of long-running British hospital drama 'Casualty'. Read more here.

I was doing some research on Sorrell Booke and fell down a rabbit hole when I discovered he used to live in Pacific Palisades. My thoughts immediately went to wondering if his house was still standing after the wildfires in 2025. Sadly, the answer is no. I was thinking of posting this on the HazzardNet Facebook page, but it's kind of sad so I'm not sure. Thoughts?
