  1. SRX Series

Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham's SRX series kicked off Saturday night at Stafford Motor Speedway. It started off non dramatic as all the driver's where feeling out the cars. Greg Biffle led all the laps and won Heat 1. Heat two saw a lot more action and the local "superstar" Doug Coby win after passing Michael Waltrip who led most of heat 2. The Main Feature Race action got even more intense with several passes and bumping and moving. It was also won by the local guy Doug Coby who dominated from lap 65. Main Feature Race Results 1 Doug Coby 2 Greg Biffle 3 Tony Stewart 4 Helio Castroneves 5 Bobby Labonte 6 Ernie Francis Jr 7 Tony Kansas 8 Willy T Ribbs 9 Paul Tracy 10 Marco Andretti 11 Michael Waltrip 12 Bill Elliot. There were a few hiccups but they had a few backup cars to keep all the driver's in the race. The pace car was awesome, 1934 Ford coupe. The engine sounds reminded me of Nascar from the 90's. This Saturday night they'll be at Knoxville Raceway.

Thanks my friend! Well, the replacement engine was finished (AMT '71 Duster), a small-block to replace the kit's big-block which apparently any smooth-hooded Satellite would never have had. HOWEVER, many problems arose: 1) Drive shaft too short for the new engine (was lengthened, see previous) 2) Once installed, found it sat 'WAY too low. Had to redo the already-redone engine mounts to raise it several mm. 3) Once totally installed, found it was still much too far back. By this time I was far more committed....I would have had to lengthen the drive shaft AGAIN, and redo all three points the engine mounted to. VERY disappointing to see the distributor almost touching the firewall. Sadly, I gave in and went with it. Remaining wiring was connected between the engine and the engine compartment. Hopefully it looks busy enough to divert attention from the 2-3 mm the engine sits too far back. Learn from this setback, kids.... Now the rear body skirt. The kit's has two half-circle openings for the high-performance exhausts, which the actual car(s) did not have (see reference). Easier to plug a square-shaped opening in this case; so it was done with plastic, then sanded and blended to shape. Then once installed, it was blended into the body, then primed and painted to make it look like it's all part of the body, totally connected. Couldn't do it before the chassis was installed; it wouldn't have fit and it would have been torn apart in the process (only have to make that mistake once to know).

I feel bad for cops. The mainstream media treats them like they are the criminals and treats the criminals like they are simply poor misunderstood people who cops shouldn't be allowed to arrest because they already have a tough enough life.

Man, sorry to hear that Spike....it's a dang shame when honest folks don't even know whether to help or not anymore. A year and a half ago I witnessed a breakin in progress in the wee hours; I called it in, but the Tucson Police have been so underfunded for decades (dare I say "de-funded) that they didn't have an available unit until 4 hours later.

Kyle Larson won his 3rd consecutive race last night at the All Star Race in Texas. This is his second All Star Race win. Hendrick Motorsports 4 cars all finished in the top 10 as did Penske's 3 cars. Top 10 1 Kyle Larson 2 Brad Keselowski 3 Chase Elliot 4 Joey Logano 5 Ryan Blaney 6 Alex Bowman 7 William Byron 8 Aric Almirola 9 Kyle Busch 10 Kurt Busch Now onto the latest rumors... Jeff Gordon might be leaving the broadcast booth for a bigger role at Hendrick Motorsports. Kurt Busch seems to be a hot commodity in the silly season. Both 23XI Racing and Track house racing have contacted him to drive a second car next season. Kurt says he will wait to hear from Chip Ganassi first before beginning talks with another team. Brad Keselowski and Roger Penske are keeping mum on Brad's plans for next year. Though if I was a betting man I'd say Brad is going to move to RFR for 2022.

I finally got to see this movie and Jimmie is pretty funny as a Grandfather only I only got to see a third because the copy I borrowed from the library didn't play too well in my dvd player. But the one part I like is when the exchange student from Puerto Rico arrives at the house Jimmie's character answers the door and says "Your Taco is Here."

If you love horror movies... GO SEE THIS. ****INTENSE**** As far as hauntings go, this movie makes the Sixth Sense look like Casper the Friendly Ghost.

I think Burt Reynolds would be perfect for the father in the movie.

I think it would make a good movie, a good comedy.Owen would be good. It does have a good story, only thing lacking would be the songs Elvis sings. Just don't put Jim Carry in there...Ugh!!!!

I enjoy this movie, a cute little comedy.. Heck, Elvis's character could have been Rosco's son. Would have been another dipstick for Boss to lose more hair over. This is one of Elvis's better movies. His character is so innocent and southren homebody he could have been a Duke too.

Might have witnessed a burglary tonight. Was chatting with a neighbor and noticed this guy park his old S10 and walk around the parking lot then leave. 5 minutes later he comes back parks next to my car walks to an apartment building clear across the parking lot. Then we hear dogs barking and see him running with a full garbage bag jump in his truck and take off. I called the police but the operator almost made it sound like I was calling on an innocent person. "What makes you think he's doing something?" "What's wrong with parking there and going to another building?" Think next time I'll just see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil unless it happens to a neighbor I know.
