I'm allergic to cats so according to politically correct rules that makes you an intolerant hateful person. Your insensitive shirt also doesn't consider the feelings of dog owners so I'm proposing that it be banned. Anybody who doesn't agree with me is evil. Anybody who think that I'm wrong for labeling those people as evil is evil.

I didn't see anything I havent seen before. I'm going through something called the Messier list, named after a 1700s French comet hunter. It is a list of the best 110 objects in the sky that are outside of the solar system. I've completed the list twice before but decided to do it again just for fun. I've observed 87 of the 110 since Jan 1. The toughest ones to get are the galaxies in the Virgo Cluster but I've already got those. They built a prison 4 miles from me probably 25 years ago so sometimes in that direction I get the same effect you do with the reflection but for me it's only in part of the sky. It really doesn't hurt my astronomy though since I'm not observing when there are clouds.

See anything interesting? Too much light pollution here at night. Not far away we have this area where a bunch of dealerships are located, almost all the makes are sold except for the ultra luxury and fast exotics. The lights there could make Nascar tracks with lights look dark. Sometimes when the clouds are real low it reflects the light and makes it look almost daylight out in the middle of the night. I've tried taking pics of full moons with my camera but never get a decent shot here.

Right after I typed that response I looked closer. Isn't the passenger side door open? What is that chrome strip on top of it?

I guess it'll be ok as long as they don't make the numbers as small as they are in IMSA. Car owners have been lobbying for this change for years to make more room for more sponsors. I find it funny how Dale jr flip flopped on this issue. F1 used to issue numbers to the teams rather than the drivers - two per team, with each team having two identical cars. Over the years, the numbers got smaller as the advertising space became more valuable. At one point it was pretty much only possible to tell the difference between team mates by their helmets. Then, it was decided to let drivers choose a permanent number to build a brand around (e.g. Lewis Hamilton has Team 44), and to increase the visibility of the numbers. The latest cars have a number on each side near the rear wing and another on the nose. Obviously, F1 cars don't have doors, so the numbers will never be as big as NASCAR. It'll still be strange seeing NASCAR with no large door numbers. Imagine the General with no numbers on the doors - it's just wrong!

Well NASCAR's All Star Race moved to Bristol in July. Which I'm happy about. But they are moving the car numbers from the doors to the back of the car to add more room for sponsors. Supposedly that's what the drivers want and they are doing it to experiment with it. I vote to stick with doors...but they don't ask me. So I guess it is what it is...

I think people of the world have gone insane. Now sword/sabre handles are offensive . Bad enough it's getting to the point where you can't wear a shirt with any logo on it as it might offend someone as one college coach recently found out. I'll be wearing my Garfield shirt today so hopefully nobody gets offended by that lazy cat .
