The carset is a from the Midwest, mainly Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois and Nebraska and many were the big name drivers of the day. Included is the rookie car of Billy Moyer Jr. This is the car I watched him race in when he was still a nobody cutting his teeth at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines Iowa. After a break of almost 10years, I've returned to this winter sport. Unfortunately, I'd forgotten how hard it is. I've done 3 races so, & got another one on Saturday - which is a 'Cyclist verses Runners' Up to the top of a local (to the event start anyway) moor & back down! I'm using a mountain-bike I bouught earlier in the year, not a proper 'cross' bike, but might get one for the next season (had one before) Click on pic, to open album
