Buck Owens died yesterday at the age of 76 years old and he was a great forice in Country Music. There is many legends of country music left folks now and it's so sad to hear that news.

I used the search, but wasn't able to find a thread. I do love the Ramones. Are there other fans out there? I was invited by a friend to go with him to a festival, when the Ramones were playing in the early 90ties and I refused, because I wasn't much of a fan back then. It maddens me to think of the opportunity I've missed... I then saw Marky and the Ramones Revival Band at Wacken 2005... it was better then nothing and I actually really did enjoy it. R.I.P. Has anyone heard songs from this brand new album or bought it? I just got it over the weekend and I'm telling you it's awesome. If you love The Eagles you won't be disappointed. When I first heard the songs many of them fit like they could be songs in Hazzard. The music has just enough edge and just enough twang to give you that feel of soft mellow classic rock or soft rock country. On top of that mix feel, they almost seem a little folk musicish. However, it really doesn't matter what you classify it as... it just rocks! I was surfing the channels on tv yesterday and something caught my eye they previewing a interview with Charlie Daniels. Well, I stuck around and watched and he is very regilous and he is also a collecter of signs he has a Tanks Crossing sign and some other ones as well. They said that Elvis Presley recorded one his songs that he wrote I can't remember title right now thow.

Yesterday, I was in the music and dvd exchange place called the "The Exchange" and I found Micheal Bolton's "Time, Love and Tenderness" for only one dollar and I just had to get that one. I don't know who would remember this but at one time Micheal Bolton had long hair and it look really good on him and them he cut it short.

So there's this new group out that I think y'all should know about. They're name is High Valley and its a group of three Mennonite brothers from LA! That is, La Crete, Alberta, Canada (In Alberta, we call La Crete, LA, but that's beside the point). Now relatively speaking, they are from my neck of the woods. They are really awesome guys, I've been to some local festivals that they've played at and I also got to jam with them in a guitar store (That was really sweet! I was just sittin in the sound room playin a guitar and High Valley walks in and joins me. Listening to each track, I could tell this record was a challenge and fun for the band. =) They did covers of Beatles, The Who, Blind Faith, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles/Humble Pie, Allman Brothers, Procal Harum, Lovin’ Spoons, Jimmie Hendrix, Pretty Things, Jethro Tull, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Free and the last tune- a bluesy remake of a Styx’s classic. The Fly On The Wall, Just Sits there watching everybody no matter what there doing at any given time. The Fly On The Wall, Keeps Watching, but everytime you get the fly swatter he leaves and watches you get mad and come back later to the same spot again.
