Just an FYI, I'm in the process of moving inactive forums to Hogg's Heavenly Acres, a read-only section where old forums will be preserved, but can't be replied to. If a forum ends up there and there's a thread in it that you think is worthy of reviving, let me know and I'll move it to another appropriate active forum.

My webhost informs me that HazzardNet is being migrated to a brand spankin' new server. (I hope that means faster performance and less issues!) Sometime in the next 48 hours, there might be slight downtime as they transition over.

Folks, we started having performance issues with the server two days ago. I've had to restart the server multiple times. I've been trying to run down the issue and I think I've narrowed it down to the database. I put in a tech support ticket several hours ago because it's not something I can fix on my end at this point. There may be intermittent down time until the issue gets resolved. I receive emails every time the server goes down, so there's no need to email me if HazzardNet is down. Thanks for your patience.

It may only be 4 episodes starting at 12pm, that is what TvGuide has listed at the moment.

The current version of the forum software will no longer be supported by the end of the year. I'm planning on upgrading to the next version before then. I'd like all your input on when the best day of the week/time I should do it and do you think a) the sooner the better or b) wait until later ? Looks like it will overall be a better experience and it looks like they have a mobile app too.

Once you've had a chance to look around the new forums, please leave feedback here. I've already gotten some feedback and am trying some small changes here and there as well as finishing up the customization of the theme. Also, if you find any bugs or issues with color (I already know about the white background on quoted text), please post about that here as well.

I'm having trouble. I can't get into the new posts on the latest posts, New Posts section. When I click it, it takes me to a blank page. I can't see the latest board. I have no problem getting on to any other part of the site! It must be a glitch in the system!

Would anyone be interested in having episode watch parties? I can't promise any sort of frequency, but I would love to re-watch the series again with you guys. If you're interested, comment with the days of the week and times that are best for you and I'll try to schedule something that works for the majority. I might be able to schedule a second viewing for folks across the pond. I would also like some volunteers to test things out with me on the website we'll be using.

Someone, who shall remain nameless unless they want to reveal themselves, has graciously paid for HazzardNet's hosting this month via the Ko-Fi widget in the right sidebar. I did, however, create a new badge that I will give out to everyone who contributes. So, if you want to go poking around, you'll probably find said individual. 🤭 Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I won't go into details, but the last 6 months have probably been the roughest of my life and, though I have been a little absent from the forums (though I have been working on a few things in the background), I am so grateful for all of you. Hey, everybody. Sorry for the downtime today. The datacenter the HazzardNet server was in lost power while they were doing UPS maintenance. They had to migrate nodes to new servers due to filesystem corruption. I think HNet got through it relatively unscathed with minimal data loss, but if you notice any posts missing, that's why.

If you haven't noticed, we have a new clubs section. There's a Boar's Nest there, created by @Tom Duke. Stop on by and pull up a chair.

Some of you may have noticed HazzardNet was down for a few hours today. The database wouldn't come up. Fixed it though. I bet Enos unplugged something important to plug in the coffeemaker. He didn't even leave me any donuts from the Busy Bee.

I updated the forum software today. If you find any weirdness, post about it in this topic so I can check it out.

I'm going to be doing some Spring cleaning around here, so if I break anything, let me know. 😂 Also, if you have suggestions for topics or forums that no longer serve a purpose and should be deleted, post links in comments here. (Or PM me!)

Hey y'all, there are some new features with the latest version of the forum software AND there will be even more features coming with version 5. I thought I'd open a topic to highlight some of them. In the very right of the forum menu, you'll see a new link for Clubs. Registered members who are no longer on probation (we moderate a number of posts before you get off probation in order to keep the spamming to a minimum) can create their own clubs and invite members to join. Keep it family friendly, of course. Let me know what you all think of the new feature. As I find out what's in the next upgrade, I'll post more about it here.
