Well, the forums got hacked again. Thanks to Verve Hosting for the quick turnaround on loading the last good database backup. I think we only lost a few hour's worth of posts. I would suggest that all of you change your passwords, just in case. Meadowmufn

As posted by one of our members elsewhere in the forums, and thereby enticing me to post it here, since the last thing I posted was about the Dukes NOT being on the air, so....by the time I say this it's probably gonna change again. Where was I. Oh yeah! The Dukes are supposedly on CMT on Thurs May 17, starting at 4:00 eastern, for a 4-episode, prime-time, mini-marathon! When are the Dukes on CMT next, after that? Don't hold yer breath, but per one of the TV listing websites, it looks like they might also be on May 30th, but as of that date it's back to the 1:00 a.m. time slot. As always I'll do my best to keep ya'll updated!

I started a new group called JhonandTom a support group for the boys. I need ideals on how to help em.I have photos as well. I met with cooter and we talked for an hour about the show and the pops.He knows I strated a group.He was thrilled that I did! I will upload some pics of cooter sometim in the next few days!

I have missed being here, but the work I have now keeps me quite busy and hardly any time for myself.... As a lot of you know, I been depressed a long time, and I bounce on and off from here to there. I am trying to get better, and to some extent , the anti depressant pills I take helps a wee bit. I still feel like a failure a lot of times, but I try to pass by that. It was so great to be talking to Roger again, but I was sad to hear he would need heart bypass, that is scary, so I dedicate this topic to him, the more prayers to a successful operation the better. He is one of the best you know, and I have met some really wonderful people on here, so I can't wait to be tal…

Howdy! HazzardNet is enjoying some great new people as we continue to grow. But with that, every now and then, comes the occassional stray bullet that's out to cause trouble. If y'all see any posts that are obnoxious and inflammatory - don't panic. Most of all - don't react and take the bait. Report it to us via a Pirvate Message or email and we'll take care of it. Without attention and reaction, the disruptive types eventually get bored and wander off, looking for other message boards to annoy. Thanks to all of you who reported past problems, and help keep an eye on the place. Much appreciated! Brian

Grumble, grumble. I know you guys haven't seen me around much lately, but I've been here, in the background, putting out fires and restarting the server a bazillion times (it seems). So, if you've smelled any smoke around HazzardNet, that was me! LOL. For quite some time, I've been trying to track down some issues with the new server that have been driving me nuts. If any of you notice any slowness on the site, error messages, etc, please post about them here. If you can PM me and copy/paste any error messages you get, I'd appreciate that, too. I *think* I may have fixed the latest issue that was filling up the hard disk with errors (fingers crossed), but I'm not sure yet…

As some of you may have noticed, the site was unavailable most of yesterday. There was a major outage in the datacenter for my webhost, affecting thousands of sites. Things have been resolved, but you might experience some residual connectivity problems until things settle.

HazzardNet is up and running on a new server now. Thanks for your patience. If you happen to come upon any bugs on the site, please let us know so we can fix 'em. -Mufn

Please do not post the same thing in multiple topics. Pick the topic best suited for your post and post it there. Duplicate posts just make the forums messy and harder to find things. I don't know about @HossC, but I hate cleaning.

A while back BoJames had a great idea in which we put a pre-picked episode in the DVD and hit "Play" at the same time and chatted about the episode while we watched it together. I was wondering if anyone would want to get together at 9pm (EST) on Thursday and watch a Lulu episode together while we hung out in the chat room talking about it. We'd have to decide which episode to watch. There's 5 of them listed on the "Favorite Lulu Episodes". Considering the title "Lulu's Gone Away" that would seem like the obvious choice. Personally I'd rather watch something more upbeat and fun like "Sadie Hogg Day" where Lulu was Boss.

CMT is running a Dukes of Hazzard mini-marathon on June 28th, starting at noon eastern time! Check your local listings to confirm air times.

If any of you are signed up for the newsletter, you've probably got an email a few days ago stating that I'm going to attempt to revive it. Probably on a monthly basis for now, maybe every other month, depending on how I'm doing. That said, if any of you have ideas for the newsletter, feel free to share them here or in PM. Hey, folks. That chat room is back! And this time, you have an option to choose Java, Flash, or Mobile/HTML, whatever works best for you. How many of you would be interested in doing a monthly (or more frequent) chat where we all cue up our Dukes dvds and watch an episode and comment on it together in the chat room? If y'all are interested, one way I've found that works well is for people to sign up for a certain day/time to host a particular episode and they'll be in charge of kicking the viewing off and perhaps adding little tidbits of trivia about that episode and the cast/crew. Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but are there any plans for a HazzardNet app for mobile (phone/tablet/etc.)?

In case you missed this on our homepage, or missed it on our facebook page, or you're not reading this either, CMT is airing 8 hours of The Dukes of Hazzard on Tues, Feb 28! Starting at noon Eastern, check yer local listings! There's a rundown of the scheduled eps on both the above locations. We're happy to see CMT airing the Dukes during family viewing hours! Even if it's just for a day. Meanwhile, CMT is also airing the Dukes at 1 and 2 am during the weeknights, and they're about to roll into the first season again. Follow our facebook page for nightly Dukes episode updates on CMT.

I updated the main site today and spent some time optimizing so, hopefully, the site loads faster. As I have time, I'll likely be going through and updating, adding, and deleting old stuff. As with the forums, if you run across any issues, please let me know.

Seems HazzardNet got hacked. Fortunately, it appears damage was limited and I have banned the accounts involved. Unfortunately, upon upgrade, I lost a lot of the color changes I made to the forums and it will take me a while to redo. I also had to disable blogs for the time being, as they were throwing errors. Hopefully that will be fixed with the next software update.

I am creating a new membership group for veteran members that will allow them special privileges, such as being able to upload larger images, adding attachments to PMs, and extending the window for editing posts to 60 minutes instead of just 10 minutes. To join this group, you will have to meet certain criteria, such as being a member for over 2 years or having more than 100 posts. In addition, you must request to join the group. It will not be automatic. I will post more information as I get ready to roll this feature out. So, veteran members of HazzardNet, are there any other perks you would like that I may be able to add to the Veteran member group? -Mufn
