Dukes of Hazzard Episodes

One of my all time favorite episodes was the 2 hour Carnival of Thrills. I originally remember it being a 2 hour episode and airing like a movie. I'm hoping that it will be in that format on the Season 3 DVD boxset. I was really bummed out when Columbia House released it in its syndicated 2 part episode format. Same thing with the 10 Million Dollar Sheriff. Columbia House claims that Carnival of Thrills originally aired in 2 parts, but I only recall it as a 2 hour episode. Which way did it originally air? In The Episode Find Loretta Lynn on DVD Boxset season 2 their is this scene that shows Luke getting hit in the eye by that mountain of a man. and I had always wondered how he got that black eye and now i know.

For those of you that have the season 2 DVD set... I went to watch episode 17 last night, "Officer Daisy Duke" and I couldn't get it to play. It seemed as though the file was corrupted. I was able finally to get one image to show, but nothing else. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Thanks! LS3

In Ghost of General Lee, I notice that Bo was only wearing a shirt when he was running back to the Farm and Luke was only wearing pants, but was Bo wearing shorts too? Also in My Son, Bo Hogg, what is the show about? I heard that it was good and i really want to watch it now.

I love the reason why Uncle Jesse can't have the President at the Duke Farm. Anybody remember exactly what he had said.

I just watch Ghost of General Lee and Granny Annie. I cried. In Ghost of General Lee, I cried when Enos went into the lake and Rosco made a call on the CB. Also when Rosco told Jesse. In Granny Annie, when Rosco was tied up and talking about Boss Hogg. Have you ever cried during an episode?

Does Bo or Luke hold the baby?

I have a couple of questions about this episode. Since when was Boss Hogg in the tire business? You would think that the Dukes would buy their tires from Cooter; even if Boss Hogg did take up selling tires for a day. Or; was it supposed to be implying that the Dukes got a loan from Boss to buy the tires? If so, what did they do? put up the tires that they were about to buy as collateral? That would be the only way they could be repo'd for failure to pay. It was an odd situation (even for the DoH) either way. Why did they have their car hidden under a tarp and hay when Rosco and Boss Hogg arrived? That makes it kind of hard to make a quick getaway; you know, like the kind …

1) The part that is supposed to be in Atlanta really looks like it was filmed in Atlanta (the boys seem to be driving on I-20 into Atlanta near the beginning of the episode, and after they get kicked out of the recording studio the first time, when Bo is formulating his plan to go back in, Mellow Mushroom Pizza (an Atlanta tradition!) can clearly be seen in the background.) Between that and Boss' car being chased on what certainly looked like an Atlanta city street, I'm convinced this portion of the episode happened to be in Atlanta. There's an episode somewhere in which Enos falls into a car crusher and Daisy pulls him out, but he's knocked out. Then she says, "Enos, if this don't wake you up, nothing will" and she kisses him. What episode is that in? I thought it'd be an early one, but it wasn't in 1 or 2.

Has anyone ever notice that Luke shuts the passager door on the general lee in the Days of Rose and Shine. it's the ridgerunner episode where they have a reunion of all the ridgerunner sit and watching movies. And Boss challenges Jesse to another race. It's when Luke puts the detour sign up to get Jesse back into the race. The first time I watched the dvd I never notice. It's when you really sit and watch that you notice. Jessi Duke 8)

Maybe she's crazy, but Jam is convinced that there's an episode where somebody gets locked into Boss's vault at the bank or something like that. Amanda doesn't recall such a thing. Is there an episode where something like this happens?

Just wondering if anyone else noticed this. In Repo Men, in the scene where Enos and Daisy are having a "man to man" talk, Enos grabs a lemon off of the Dukes kitchen table. At the end of the show, when Rosco sees the counterfeit plate in what's left of the Rolls, Enos is looking over Rosco's shoulder eating a lemon. Just goes to show that watching season one episodes over and over again causes one to be too analytical. Waiting for season two to come out.

Once the second season DVD comes out in two weeks, everyone can watch the episodes in the order that they make sense. The original airdates were really messed up: for instance, we see Daisy driving her jeep in "Arrest Jesse Duke", but we don't see her getting the jeep as a present until a couple of weeks later in "The Runaway". In some episodes, you didn't know whether she was going to be driving the plymouth or the jeep. Same goes with Rosco's and Cooter's replacements. You didn't know whether Rosco or Cooter were going to be in the episode or their replacements (even though both sets of replacements weren't in the same episode). This episode from season 2 recently aired on CMT in Canada and I forgot how truly great it is... Its a break from the typical Dukes/guest star vs. Boss and sheriff storyline as it provided an insight into the LEGITIMATE actions of the Hazzard County PD... Sometimes in the Dukes you forget that they would have real responsibilities like any normal police organization as they are always chasing the Dukes and never seem to have any other purpose in life... Anyways I love episodes where Roscoe/Enos/Cletus/Guest Sheriff (as it was in the episode with Grady Byrd) go after real criminals... The chase scenes between Byrd/Robbers and Enos/Robbers are really intense and suspenseful…

I bought a moonshine Jug from a prop dealer, it is in one of the pictures in DOH Season 1 DVD set. It's the picture of Boss Hogg and Roscoe with the moonshine jugs sitting on the General Lee, the photo is on the bottom right of the Cast page. I would sure love to know which episode it comes from. I watched all of the 1st season shows, and I didn't see it. Anyone by chance remember? I'm thinking it's from the second season. Thanks in advance.

This is one of the best Dukes episodes even though it is a happy story it has a rain cloud over it half way towards the end when Luke gets hurt. I just felt so bad for Bo because his heart was breaking little by little even though Luke wasn't dead he was out colder than a dead samon And my favorite scene in this episode is the one when Bo is close to tears he is looking at Luke then he prays that he wakes up unfortunetly though I have one complaint I wish that they had shown more indepth hospital scenes like Luke being in a Coma , the Dukes praying for him to wake up , and Luke having to stay in the hospital overnight. This is one of my favorite Duke Episodes I just love it I'm curious about that scene in the boxing match when Catfish is hitting Tom then he gives Tom one big punch he goes down for the count. Seeing as how Tom didn't ask for any stunt men in this episode when he was laying on the boxing ring mat was he unconicious for real cause in this poster I have of him he has this bruise on the end of his right eyebrow ? he wound up with a headache for 2 weeks he quotes that guy that played Catfish Sonny he beat the stuffing out of me for 2 days but he was stuck with the headache for 2 weeks.

OK,let's get a little friction going here! The Dukes was the best series on TV ever,BUT there must be one episode(good though they all were)which got you thinking "Oh come on! They can do better than that!" My nomination would be "Lawman of the year".(season 5). I mean,it was a Rosco show,which should have made it a 'no fail' epsode;but the comedy was completely flat and non-existent,IMO. James Best NOT being funny..who would have thought it!
