Hobie Hartkins reacted to RogerDuke in Boy’s Best Friend Creepy Voice?
You always bring up some interesting subjects MM. The very fact that you think about these things is proof what a big fan you are. Hey, wait a second, MM is what I usually call Meadowmufn, our Supreme Superior Commander.

Interesting! Perhaps this is true, but they should have gotten another boy, as “June” is really creepy & bizarre for the voice of Terry Lee. As I said before, it kind of “throws” or ruins the episode.

The voice was done by June Foray. It's quite possible that Danny's voice wasn't picked up very well by the mics and he wasn't available for looping on the production's schedule, so they had to bring in June.

Once again I disagree but I could disagree with Hobie about everything imaginable and would still love him like a cousin. That's how things work in Hazzzard.

I think it was Cooter who walked into a cave and ran out. As I recall they never showed the bear but we heard the growl.

Lando Norris has just won the Mexican Grand Prix ahead of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. It's getting late for me, so I'll write a full race review tomorrow.

The plot device in 'OFFICER Daisy Duke'.
One of the channels here is currently airing 'The Fall Guy'. They're now up to midway through the final season (season 5), and it's quite possible that I never saw these later episodes in the '80s, and if I did it was nearly 40 years ago! Only the first two seasons have been released on DVD, so I'm taking my chance to catch up.
At the beginning of the show's run, Colt took assignments from bail bondswoman Samantha "Big Jack" Jack played by Jo Ann Pflug (AKA. Helen Hogan from 'Route 7-11'). For seasons 2 to 4, the bail bondswoman was Terri Michaels played by Markie Post. What I'd forgotten/never knew is that that the bail bondswoman in the final season was Pearl played by Nedra Volz. She only actually appeared in five episodes, but she's mentioned in several others.

Right now I'm eating pizza and watching TDOH - Targets Daisy and Lu Lu. I skip the Boy's Best Friend one. I think it's super goofy and don't like that kid's whiny voice. ( I bet he got beat up a lot in school)

I don't tailgate even when the driver in front is going well under the speed limit. There's just not enough time to react if anything happens. I have also used the slowing down tactic when I've been tailgated.

Chinese restaurants over here quite often offer fruit fritters (pineapple or maybe banana) as their only desserts. I've heard of corn fritters, but don't think I've ever eaten one.

Little Buddy was alive and not human. Would that make him an animal and eligible for our list?

Woops, the alien was called Little Cousin, not Little Buddy.

What I'm doing right now, is thinking about how comforting it is to be in Hazzard, or to watch the show. When you run in to a stressful situation, you just, " Head to Hazzard" . You can literally, both while the shows are playing or sitting practically anywhere, get lost in Hazzard, in a much simpler, more relaxing world, where you know everybody and everybody knows you and they all share your opinion on stuff and your view on life! It even helps you sleep. I just close my eyes and think about an episode or make up an episode in my head! Then it's off to La La land until next morning.
Hey, We've even discussed other plot episodes etc. on here before! Or what would this character do in this situation, etc. When you can lose yourself in this world and all its infinite possibilities, it makes life easier and more comfortable, enjoyable etc.

All this is true but what it is, is an under development of the Psyche. You know, when you're a kid and you do crazy stuff and then get older and learn to drive and you drive crazy....nothing's going to happen! That happens to other people! ( You ARE other people!) Hey! It's never happened before! I know what I'm doing! It's an adolescent sense of invulnerability Then most people ( SOME people??) as they mature and their brain develops, learn that yes, they to can die and no it's not just other people!
5/15/82! I was a junior in high school, passenger in my friend's car and he was flying and we hit a phone pole. I was in a coma for a week and in the hospital for a month. Some people never fully develop mentally.

I don't do many long journeys, but luckily I don't recall seeing anyone doing that on my recent trip to Galway, although I'm sure it happens regularly over here.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but people here seem to drive much more hesitantly lately. I thought it could be the reduced driving during the Covid lockdowns, but that was a while ago now. Sometimes I approach a junction thinking I'll easily get out because there's a huge gap, but the car in front stops dead and waits for nothing. Then there are the drivers who drive at well under the speed limit completely oblivious to the long queue behind them. That's my two cents.

What was the chimpanzee's name in Undercover Dukes? Wasn't it Mr. something?

I suppose we should include Uncle Jesse's pet raccoon, Smokey, from the animated series.

Relaxing now after getting home from Northern Virginia. It's 300 miles one way, much of it is on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. People are idiots. I get that I am getting older and lost my daughter to a careless driver 2 years ago but there is more to it than that.
Just about every time you see somebody crossing the line they are doing so because the life of the person they are cutting off has less value to them than their text or fantasy football team. We have reached a point where an electronic device matters more than a life.
And when you point this out to idiots you know who text and drive the person just says "Well, maybe they were texting a person who was having a medical emergency or maybe their child was in danger". There is a chance in a billion it was something like that.
