I went through a rough time 2 years ago when my daughter was killed and posted about it here. I knew it would depress folks but I also knew they cared enough that they wanted me to cry on their shoulders. People here genuinely care so go ahead and vent anytime, so long as you realize there is only so much we can do. You are a Dukes fan and we are family because of it. If anybody here gets tired of you venting (I doubt that will happen) they can simply stop reading this thread. 
BTW to you other folks, the guy who killed my daughter just got out of prison after service 6 months for vehicular manslaughter.

Folks, several people have been signing up with inappropriate and destructive links in their profiles. To stop this behavior and to protect our membership, I have decided to disable website links in member profiles. I realize this is somewhat of a penalty for those of you who have websites, but it is needed to prevent our membership from getting viruses from these sites and to protect those of our members who are minors from stumbling onto some incredibly disgusting and inappropriate websites. The latest batch of new member profiles had links to sites that were riddled with viruses and trojans. Tactics like these are usually done by outsiders with no interest in sticking around or contributing to the community.

Garrett's Bears beat my Steelers by three points today and the Bears are having a great year. Where are you Garrett? You should be here to tease me about beating the Steelers. 
I looked up to see how the Bears got their name. The Cubs already existed and the Bears owner George Hallas thought football players were bigger, tougher and stronger than baseball players so went with Bears.......now known as DaBears.

My granddaughter loved Peppa Pig when she was little (she's 14 now) and because of that she always pronounced George with a British accent. So anytime she would say George she would say it with that accent, not knowing it was an accent. It took us awhile to figure out she wasn't faking the accent but really thought that is how it supposed to be pronounced (here).

I obviously hear so many US voices that I don't really notice the difference in pronunciation with the name George.

I saw some short videos yesterday of young Americans returning to the US after brief visits to Europe, and the most important thing they could find to say was that in "The Land of the Free" they could remove the caps from their soda bottles. For the last couple of years our plastic soda and water bottles have had caps which remain tethered to the bottles so the whole lot can get recycled. In Ireland we also pay a deposit on each bottle (15c or 25c depending on size) which we get back when they are returned to a store for recycling. The caps can still be separated easily if it's really too much to deal with, but you get used to them pretty quickly. I find it particularly odd that this should be such an issue for young Americans since when I visited the US in the early 80s you guys had soda cans with ring pulls which stayed attached while on our cans they were still separate and were often just thrown away!

This video is now two years old, but the comparison of food prices and availability is still valid. The lady in the video spends six months of the year in the UK and six months in Texas, and the comparison is between Tesco in the UK and Kroger in the US.

Here in Ireland, Bosco was a children's TV show which was on at around the same time as Dukes (1979-1987 for Bosco). I wasn't in the country when it aired, but a lot of people my age remember it fondly.

Wow! That is a lot....and none of it good. We care about you and are concerned, but I'm sure you know there is only so much we can do on forums like these.
It sure sounds like you need more help than internet friends can provide so I suggest you reach out to local organizations that can help. If you don't know where to go maybe you can contact your county health department and they can point you in the right direction. 
Churches also can offer help but if you aren't inclined to go that route I understand. We have all been at low points in our lives and talking about it is always the most important step to get better and that means face to face counseling with someone who is trained to help. Please seek out a person like that and keep us updated.
