Finally started to feel good physically but had a hard emotional hit today. I turned 64 (7 days after Bo turned 64) and it hit me that I will never again get a birthday call from my daughter. I'm sure when Father's Day comes around I'll get knocked down again since she was my only child.3 points

LOL . . . well this better not be one of those times. You now got my hopes higher than the sky! Though we are racing at Talladega this weekend. He'll have to avoid "the big one" in order to win. But you said, he's going to win the rest of the year. By golly...he has to win the rest of the year. LOL.2 points -

Where to watch the DUKES!
Skipper Duke and one other reacted to Spike for a topic
You can buy episodes or seasons on Amazon prime, VUDU, or Apple TV+. But it would be far cheaper to pick up the complete series on DVD and get a good upscaling Blu-ray player that will convert the SD format to HD.2 points -

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but I was watching 'The Naked Gun" last night as a sort of tribute to OJ Simpson when I spotted a familiar face. When Frank Drebin goes to visit Nordberg in hospital, the nurse at reception is played by Doris Hess. Doris played Emery Potter's long-time girlfriend/wife Mabel Wooster in "People's Choice".2 points

Now the interior. The Classic's side panels seemed best, except I liked some of the details on the Revel Cabriolet better. Solution: graft the details onto the better panels. The Classic's seat bottoms are terrific, but the Revell Cabriolet's seat backs are the closest to the real thing out of the 3 kit choices. Again, graft them together.1 point -

Thanks for the kind words! Got to splice the chopped door posts from the classic body onto the Super's convertible body. Always better to cut and graft too much, then cut it down to size. Then a bit of grinding and sanding to blend it all in.1 point -

Howdy folks, I must apologize for being away for a couple of years. Had my hands full with MANY things, including a wedding, some health stuff, plus got really burned out on this project (FAR more difficult than originally thought). Time to get it off the back burner and finished. Hope y'all are doing well and blessed! Ok, let's see where we left off. Major body modifications. Had to take pieces from the two Revell bodies and graft them to the Aoshima to reflect the correct vents, trims and such. Flat windscreen framing on the hardtop was too narrow, so I widened it with an insert of plastic, above and below. I'll worry about the windscreen itself later. The hood was a nightmare, part of the upper section being scratchbuilt.1 point -

Get to feeling better Roger, hopefully the break in rain will help. Took the G8 to the first local cars and coffee meet yesterday. Might also be the last cars and coffee meet this year lol. A lot of idiots showed up acting like idiots, revving their motors, revving competitions, burning rubber leaving the meet, doing drugs etc... So yeah will not be surprised if the rest of the meets are canceled, this is the 4th or 5th parking lot that the organizer has had to ask permission for in the past decade because idiots got them kicked out of the other lots over the years. Was a few very interesting cars that showed up. A Citroen DS3, 60's Lincoln Continental that was lowered 3 inches with stock rims and original hubcaps, 90's Miata with a 90's Ford 5.0 cobra engine, an old Cushman scooter.1 point

You beat me to it, Spike! I am so excited that Chase finally found himself in Victory Lane. He has been getting closer and closer this year. And here we are. I hope that this means that more is to come. Ironic enough, an online NASCAR fan was telling me the other day that I should switch to William Byron since the reason I went with Elliott was because he went to the 24 car first (Jeff Gordon's original number). Have to say it was tempting because Byron is the 24 driver, drives for Hendrick, and has been doing great last year and this year. But being the Cubs fan that I am...am loyal to the end. So Byron will be my second favorite. Sadly I missed his win as I went grocery shopping instead because I was too lazy to go yesterday. Though if I did watch it today, I'd probably have an heart attack up to the white flag! LOL. I am just so excited...must mean it's going to be a great week. LOL. I was never a Denny Hamlin fan either, because he did show aggressive driving even in his first season in NASCAR and it hasn't changed. Then him wrecking Elliott all that he did, carved it in stone. LOL. NASCAR Texas Motor Speedway Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR YAY CHASE ELLIOTT!!! CONGRATULATIONS. Thank you Spike.1 point -

Dukes Meet Bill Elliott
RogerDuke reacted to Garrett Duke for a topic
Roy looks excitedly over at Garrett and says, "See?" Before pressing the button on the CB and turns serious, "Oh hi," he stutters, "is this one of the Dukes?" "No sir," the voice confidently responds on the other end, "this here is Bill. I'm hoping you two got some great news for us. We can sure use it right now." Roy looks nervously at Garrett. "Bill. As in Bill Elliott?!" Roy yells into the CB and Garrett rolls his eyes at Roy and grabs the CB out of his hand. "Bill. This is Garrett," he finally responds into the CB, "I apologize for Roy. Seems the cat got his tongue," he rolls his eyes at Roy. "We don't have much news, but we do know where the marshmallow and his dummy are located right now. Where are you located at?" The line goes quiet for a long moment before Bill comes back with a location. "Luke says we can use anything at this point," Bill slowly finishes. "We are on our way," Garrett responds as he places the CB back down on the dashboard. "Leave it to you to get star struck when his career is on the line. You do realize that Elliott's NASCAR career is as good as over if the press get a hold of this?" Roy shrugs. "Well I find it backwards that you may be spending the next twenty years in jail in Atlanta and you're worried about some NASCAR driver's career," Roy spits back at him, "I mean, does Bill even think about that and what you are facing if and when the law catches up with you?" Garrett shrugs it off. "At least I'll be back in Atlanta. Maybe I'll thank him if I get caught," Garrett offers an ornery smile, "besides it's not about me. You'd rather the law get away with their crookedness? Bill worked his whole life to get where he is only for Boss and his greediness to ruin it. Atlanta prison will be worth it." Roy shakes his head. "If you say so. You better be right as I'm sure I'll be going down with you," Roy dryly responds as they pull up behind The General Lee and Jesse's white truck. Garrett is quick to hop out of the truck to join Bill and Roy slowly follows up to them. "Howdy ho," Roy grins at everyone in a greeting. Seeing everyone looking at them in anticipation, Garrett quickly gets to the point, "I had Roy follow the sheriff's car at a distance. He went down to those caves that Hogg hides out at. So I am assuming Hogg is there and he is meeting up with him there. Roy here was too chicken to follow him there to find out." Garrett gives a dark grin as he elbows Roy who only shakes his head and steps away. "Sorry we don't have much news other than that. They were wanting to arrest me when y'all didn't show up at the Boars Nest as we all thought you were and I had to make a quick get a way." "Who's the chicken now?" Roy throws back at him. "No. It's smart not to follow them to the caves. You'd be in jail for sure right now," Jesse firmly states, not wanting to deal with Garrett's attitude. "Where that leave us now, Luke?"1 point -
