Maybe Americans can now start to appreciate a famous quote by Bill Shankly who managed the English soccer team Liverpool from 1959 to 1974: "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that".

  2. Howdy y’all, just wanted to give a heads up in case nobody knows, not sure. Dukes are now available on Amazon Prime to stream, in excellent quality even though its the same as the hd tv airings I think. But definitely watchable! Given that I hope Warner will release the series again on blu ray in much higher quality than the old dvd prints.

  4. My plan is to put that pretty little philly Emma Tisdale in a sidecar so when I win the 2027 Moonshine 400 on her dirt bike we'll be doing it together.

    Friday Night

The original first season is a definite standout favourite to me, it made Hazzard feel more depth in a sense, mind you ain’t nothing wrong with the rest of the series. But backlot shoots don’t compare to Covington in my books.

  7. Currently excited the boys are now on prime in excellent watchable quality, and hoping they release the show in higher quality for consumers via Blu Ray. If other series can be remastered, no doubt Dukes can be just as easily done. As for what I’m doing, well it’s been a hot minute since I was logged in. Forget when, life got busy lol. But I’m still just a good ol boy, never meanin no harm.

    NASCAR news

Lewis Hamilton took pole for Saturday's sprint race, but got passed by Kimi Antonelli at about the midway point and had to settle for second at his home race. For the main race, Kimi took pole ahead of the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis, and the other Mercedes of George Russell. Kimi had a poor start and was passed by both Ferraris. He didn't get ahead of Lewis until lap 11. Kimi then stayed out while the other leaders pitted. That led to a great 3-way battle between Lewis, George and Max Verstappen. When Kimi finally changed his tires he came out behind Charles. The new tires helped Kimi catch Charles quickly, but then on lap 41 he got a loose piece of the car affecting his steering. By the time the team managed to clear it, Kimi was out of contention. On lap 48 (of 52) Max crashed out of third place bringing out a full safety car. Both Ferraris pitted for new soft tires, but sadly we were deprived of a last lap shoot-out as the race finished under the safety car. The cars in F1 don't refuel, so they can't extend the race like they can in NASCAR. At the flag it was Charles ahead George, Lewis and the McLaren of Lando Norris. Just like the sprint race, the British drivers could only manage second, third and fourth! Race highlights are here. There's now two-week gap until the Belgian Grand Prix (sorry, but I had to mention Belgium ).

    Sorrell's House

Well, you are in Hazzard County now and we are happy to have you. Next time you see an older cop in Los Angeles ask if they were working the year Enos was a law enforcement officer there. I bet they will have a lot of stories about him. My guess is that Turk has retired by now. Possum on a gumbush, grits and greens strike again. Seriously though, we are thrilled to have you and look forward to hearing more about your love of the greatest TV show in history.

  13. I have. At Christmas time last year, WB had an event on the town square that was primarily aimed at Gilmore Girls fans. You could pay to get in and walk around the town square freely all day. I truly enjoyed it, even though I was a Dukes fan more so than a Gilmore Girls fan! lol WB will most likely have the same event at Christmas time later this year!

  14. I'm not sure if the house pictured is the same house that Sorrell owned in Sherman Oaks. Google maps has it blurred out and it looks like its a gated property. The listing says 5 bed, 5.5 bathroom, 3800 square feet, and is worth 3.8 million today.

  15. As a Die-Hard Dukes fan who lives in Los Angeles, I never would have thought of looking for Sorrell's home! I simply read that he lived in Sherman Oaks. I definitely think that a successful TV actor in the early 1980's could afford to buy a very desirable house here in Los Angeles for a six-figure sum. Today that same house would have a multi-million-dollar price tag on it today. One of the challenges for homebuyers in the early 1980's was that interest rates were at all time historic highs (18-21%), but a successful actor could afford to buy a house outright without a mortgage, giving them an advantage over other homebuyers. Surely, Boss Hogg wouldn't take on a mortgage with such a high interest rate. LOL

    Sorrell's House

My guess is that after season 7 Hughie finally came up with a plan that actually worked and swindled all his uncle's money.

    Sorrell's House

Oops. That's because I screenshot the wrong house... the one across the street. This is the correct house. It looks like one of them, either the Google Maps or the LA county fire site has it flipped.

  19. One of the secrets to happiness is to tune out the bad things and focus on the good. I have met several of the stars but John is not one of them. You are lucky and should be thankful. Those great memories will last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing them with us.

  21. I read John Schieders recent book, Livining "My Life My Way" John talked about how Sorrell would sometimes host the cast at his home in Sherman Oaks. John also mentioned in the book that Sorrell would show up to work at WB, and he drove an old Volvo. I guess Sorrell had more than one house.

I guess the Scots will need tae get behind Norway as they cannae get behind England. I'm about as much English as I am Norwegian, but I am about half Scottish, so... 🤷‍♀️

  25. This sounds like a daylight robbery scheme that Boss would've been proud out. My brother gets autographs of actors in play programs at the theater when he visits. His collection includes some big names including knights and dames, and not one has ever asked for a cent! Thanks for the post, Webb, and I'm glad you got to meet John, but this feels totally against the spirit of the show.

  30. I was doing some research on Sorrell Booke and fell down a rabbit hole when I discovered he used to live in Pacific Palisades. My thoughts immediately went to wondering if his house was still standing after the wildfires in 2025. Sadly, the answer is no. I was thinking of posting this on the HazzardNet Facebook page, but it's kind of sad so I'm not sure. Thoughts?
