  1. I just watched a 2019 episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls where he takes celebrities out into survival situations. This one had actor/comedian Joel McHale. At the beginning McHale jumped into the open window of a wrecker, prompting Bear to mention him being a Dukes of Hazzard fan. Joel responded by mentioning Boss Hogg.....it's always fun to hear Dukes mentioned when not expecting it.

  2. After Rosco deputizes Bo and Luke in 'Deputy Dukes' and promises that they'd be the only three to know... Rosco: "I gave you my word, didn't I?" Balladeer: "Now, about Rosco's word. He has to have somebody else call his dogs...because they don't even believe him anymore."

That's a good thing to do once in a while. It also gives your eyes a break too, the blue light screens emanate are not good for the eyes long term. While walking one of the trails at a nearby park we came across a pair of Eastern Hog-nosed Snakes. The female was about 3 foot long and about two inches in diameter and was a dark gray almost black pattern. The male about 1 3/4 foot long, yellow tan with black splotches pattern. The female was very irritated that we stopped to check them out lol. I used the Seek app to identify them as we've only ever seen garter snakes at this park.

Looks like mother nature's going to postpone this week's race too. Weather radar shows rain showers just outside of Martinsville. If it does get postponed it will most likely be run tomorrow afternoon. Maybe they should have did more rain tire testing lol.

I've used something similar. What I'd really like is a router table so that I could make my own mouldings.

  6. Michèle Mouton nearly won the WRC in 1982, eventually finishing a close second. She also won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1985, setting a new record, and won her class in the 1975 Le Mans 24-hour race. Looking back, it's interesting to see how some drivers competed in such a variety of events.

    Daisy's Cars

This may have been posted before, but as I was looking at the page that shows all the cars used by characters in the show, I noticed there was some inaccuracies when it came to Daisy's cars. True, she started out the show with a yellow 1973/74 Plymouth Road Runner...but the story goes, when parts became too difficult to find to repair the few they had on the show, they switched to a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring...painted with the Road Runner paint scheme. So, the '71 she used was actually a Satellite, and not a Road Runner. Just FYI. What I don't understand though, is in 1979 a '74 vehic

    Daisy's Cars

Thanks, sorry I took so long to respond a lots been going on right now...I'm back and forth on a favorite vehicle probably Daisy's '71 Satellite '71/72 Plymouth 2-door B-bodies are my favorite car, though her '74 Roadrunner has grown on me kind of cooler being a real Roadrunner instead of a Satellite with some stripes painted on, and of course there's always the General Lee. I've been a fan for about 11 years I'd say, its been a while, the shows always been an escape for me, I used to have all 7 seasons but they were destroyed...I do have the first 3 again and hopefully I'll have them all agai

    Hi!

Welcome to HNet, Dan. Looking at your interests, I'd say you'll fit right in here. I thought the name sounded familiar - I see that your first post was about Daisy's cars a few months ago.

  11. We got our puppy today. It's a little shih-tzu. My wife had one when I met her and then we got 2 around the year 2000. I didn't even know what they were when I met my wife but now I love them. I start my volunteer job tomorrow as the P A announcer for local high school baseball team. I should practice. "Now up for the Moonshiners...center fielder....number 01...Hooobieee Harrrtkkiinnssssss!" How did that sound?

  20. Hmmm, around my neck of the woods a bugger could be just about anything. If you lost your wrench "Now where is that bugger?". If a puppy was cute "That's a cute little bugger". If you got a splinter "I need to get that bugger out." Speaking of puppies, we're getting ours today....haven't had a dog in 5 years.

Thanks for posting the video, Spike. At 17:16 - "The Duke brothers' car, the General Lee...". The caption writer obviously wasn't a fan. I laughed at the guy right at the end who said the traders were an insult to Pez community!

When the alarm went off this morning I turned the TV on to wake up and Pawn Stars happened to be on whatever channel we fell asleep too. A guy was looking to sell his Dukes of Hazzard collection. He probably had everything that was ever made for the tv series, toys, games, action figures, cars, lunch boxes, etc... even a calculator. They had an appraiser check it out and he said the whole collection was worth $1,500 so the pawn shop and the seller settled on $1,200. The most expensive thing in the collection was Daisy Duke's jeep, the appraiser said that is the rarest toy that was made because

  28. With nothing good on TV last night, I decided to watch 'Blazing Saddles' again. I'd forgotten that Burton Gilliam had one of the lead parts and featured in a DVD extra documentary. Here he is in the movie. It's one of the screengrabs I posted in the Hazzard Square thread, because they used the Warner Brothers Western set which was next to Midwest Street at the time - see all the pictures here.

  30. It's from 'Goodbye, General Lee' in season 4. After Rosco tells Boss that he took care of the General, the conversation is: Rosco: Listen, Boss, I want a raise now. I want more than 50% of my 50%. Come back. Boss: I'll give you a raise. I'll give you a 50% raise. I'll give you 50% of 50% of 50%. How about that? Rosco: Well, that's better. I got him just where he wants me.

  31. How about the time ( again....can't remember the episode) when Boss was double dealing Rosco ( like he always did) and Rosco thought he was getting the better end of the deal and he said,. " I've got him just where he wants me." A statement like that can bend your brain! LOL

  33. My Name is Andrew. I am 43 years old. I am also a post 9/11 U.S. Navy Veteran. I served from May 2003 to April of 2007. I loved Dukes of Hazzard since I started watching it at a fairly young age. I loved watching DoH and Three's Company. Please pardon me for bringing up another show. Anyway, I do it my best to live my life by at least one of Uncle Jesse's famous quotes. At least along DoH fans like us. He said, "A stranger is just a friend I have no met yet." I live in Southern California. So out here I have to use tact. of course. Probably more so than I would like. Meaning I wish I did live

  38. I enjoyed yesterday's race - I wish they had another couple of road courses like that on the calendar. It was also good to see that the person doing the lap-by-lap coverage at NASCAR.com has been reading my posts and learned the difference between "break issues" and "brake issues" . Danica was not only in her backup car yesterday, she also started at the back due to an engine change. She was making steady progress through the field when she hit debris from the crash. She's also had some good qualifying performances this year. Like Garrett has said in previous posts, she was probably thrown i

  41. Congratulations Garrett, you finally got the result you wanted. I watched/listened to the whole race, and you didn't miss much at the start. At least two of the early cautions were for cars losing grip and spinning out on their own - I'm not sure why they need to throw a caution when there's no contact, no debris and the car that spun is safely out of the way on the apron. After last week, I was hoping for a better result from Ricky, but he stayed in the 20s for most of the race and just missed out on getting the lucky dog a couple of times. He did, however, do a great job avoiding the spinnin

Another hijack of the thread for a belated tribute. On March 16th we lost German racing driver Sabine Schmitz after a four year battle with cancer. She was just 51. Despite having a successful racing career, it was her first appearance on 'Top Gear' that brought the "Queen of the Nürburgring" to a worldwide audience. The Nürburgring is a 12.9 mile track with 147 corners that's located in the middle of a German forest. Sabine was born there and knew the track better than anyone. Here's the Top Gear Special tribute which aired last night. It includes contributions from TG presenters ol
