RogerDuke
The Dukes in Hollywood......season 7 A guy driving through Hazzard County stopped to take a log off the road and got attacked by two masked men. It turns out they were only actors from Hollywood filming a movie in Hazzard County. The big star is named Brock Curtis and the movie producer's name is Jason Dillard. Dillard is having serious money problems and since he has a 5 million dollar life insurance policy on Brock he is trying to kill him with the help of his assistant, Blake. They disabled the brakes on the car Brock hopped into and took off with, but thanks to the Dukes, the actor's life was saved. A helicopter filmed the unscripted rescue. Brock invites the 3 younger Dukes to Hollywood with their orange car. He wants them there for 2 weeks to be in his film.. A flirty Daisy likes the idea. Boss dresses up like Elton John and tells Dillard he wants him to make a film about his life. He wants Robert Redford to play him and Bo Derek to play Lulu. Rosco wants Burt Reynolds to play him. Boss forces the film-makers to let him and Rosco go to Hollywood because he claimed that they need to be the boys probation officers. After a Hollywood tour the Dukes, Boss, Rosco and Flash go to the studios where Blake makes another unsuccessful attempt on Brock's life. Boss and Rosco spent their time running from security guards who wanted to kick them out because Boss kept pestering people about a movie about his life. At one point, Boss put a frog head mask on and Rosco got in a gorilla suit to evade the guards. Jackie, the script girl told Bo about Dillard's financial troubles and after a search of his trailer and a phone call, the Dukes figured out what his murderous scheme was. Blake tried to kill the Dukes and after another attempt to kill Brock got caught after a car chase, ending near an active war movie set. Blake and Dillard were arrested and the Hazzard folks went home. -- Brock was played by Barry Van Dyke, the son of Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke. -- When Boss and Rosco crashed their bicycle into a harem set they thought they died and went to Heaven. -- When considering going to Hollywood, it was funny when Luke said "We ain't done no acting"
Skipper Duke
8 hours ago, RogerDuke said: No More Mr. Nice Guy......season 7 The 4 Dukes head to the Capitol City Department Store because Daisy got a telegram saying she won a bunch of prizes for being the one millionth customer. When they arrive she receives a yellow classic Ford Mustang, fur coat, gold bracelet and 4 tickets to Mexico. Unfortunately, it's all a Boss Hogg scam. Senator Shaft is on his way to Hazzard to investigate a burglary ring and Boss gave Daisy stolen stuff to frame the Dukes. Boss's accomplices are Billie Jean, Stoney and Zack. Rosco arrested Daisy and Jesse but Bo and Luke got away. Boss had an accident with a skateboard and shopping cart and hit his head on the sidewalk and lost his memory. He turned into a nice guy and even freed Daisy and Jesse. Billie Jean and her thugs didn't believe Boss really lost his memory. Rosco hit Boss on the head and jarred his memory back. They tried to arrest Bo and Luke but they got away. Boss got kidnapped by the bad gang, receiving a hit on his head, losing his memory again. One of the thugs hit him in the car and he got it back once more. The 4 Dukes sprang to action to save Boss after the kidnappers called Enos to demand their stolen merchandise back. Enos teamed up with the Dukes just as the Senator was arriving. Rosco showed up and delivered the Mustang and stolen goods to the gang and they kidnapped him too. The Duke boys figured out where they were and rescued them from Stoney, while Daisy caught Billie Jean and Jesse caught Zack. The senator thanked the Dukes and Enos for stopping the burglary ring. -- Boss kept calling his sheriff Bosco. -- Stoney was played by former Oakland Raider NFL great John Matuszak. -- Classic scene when Rosco was in the Hazzard Hotel. He was looking for a diamond necklace Boss lost and wandered into a room where a big angry husband punched him. He went through a window, bounced off a trampoline into a dumpster. The truck driver then dumped the dumpster into his truck. Cousin Roger Duke very ironic as Rosco literally became Bosco in the Reunion movies 1997 and 2000. RogerDuke
Cool Hands Luke and Bo.......season 7 Bo and Luke crossed the Osage County line with permission to pick up orphans and take them to a 4H camp. Sheriff "Droopy" Cathcarte caught them after a chase and Boss Colonel Cassius Claibourne sentenced them to two years hard labor on the Osage Road Gang even though Bo said "back in Hazzard that'd add up to about 20 bucks" referring to what their punishment should be. Claibourne had just completed his first step to take over Hazzard. Boss was happy about their arrest but got so much pressure from the townsfolk and Lulu that he was forced to help them. Bo and Luke got in a fight with the guards and gained instant respect from the prisoners, including Charlie, who had been there 6 years for jaywalking. When Boss and Rosco went to get the boys they were tricked and ended up in the road gang prison too. Lulu was in tears because "neither one of them has ever done a day's work in their lives". Jesse called Congressman Ezra Fulton and got release orders for the 4 Hazzard guys but by the time he got to Osage Bo and Luke had attempted an escape and Boss and Rosco helped them so Claibourne wouldn't let them go. The boys got locked in small outdoor cages as punishment. Claibourne then treated Boss to a feast but he had to sign away everything he owned to get each course. Lulu came to visit and got caught with tools to help them escape and Boss and Rosco ended up in the cages. Later, with Daisy's help everybody escaped. The truckload of prisoners crossed the Hazzard County line and when Claibourne and Cathcarte's car was pushed over the line they were arrested by Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Boss got his businesses back. An investigation by higher authorities got the road gang closed for good. -- Cool Hand Luke was a 1967 Paul Newman movie. -- James Avery played Charlie. He went on to be Uncle Phil on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. -- Waylon mentioned the video game Pac-Man in this episode. -- Claude Earl Jones played Cathcarte...what a great actor......perfect for a southern sheriff. -- After seeing the Osage law the Hazzard law isn't so bad. RogerDuke
Go West, Young Dukes.......season 7 Boss just inherited half of his great granddaddy's estate, including a deed to the Duke farm dated June 13, 1872 and signed by Thaddeus Hogg and Jeremiah Duke. After going to Capitol City and confirming the deed's authenticity Boss gave the Dukes 24 hours to leave the farm. Jesse found his great great grandma Jenny's diary and drifted back in time to 1872 to Sleepy City, Hazzard's former name. After Thaddeus burned down Jeremiah and Jenny's barn, Jeremiah sent messages for help and his nephews Joe (Bo), Hank (Luke) and niece Dixie (Daisy) showed up. Joe revealed his identity but Hank and Daisy didn't. Hank pretended to be a drifter and Dixie got at job at Thaddeus's saloon. Deeter Davenport, the town blacksmith also wanted to help the Dukes. Thaddeus called in reinforcements too, Frank and Jesse James. The first thing the younger Dukes did was stop the James boys from robbing a stagecoach. The James boys found out that Hank was really a Duke and told Thaddeus and Rufus. Joe and Hank got in a bar fight with Frank and Jesse. Rufus framed and arrested Hank for horse theft but Joe got away. Jeremiah signed the farm away to get Hank out of jail but he broke out with Dixie's help before Thaddeus could get back to free him. The James boys robbed Thaddeus's safe and took him and Rufus hostage and it was hot pursuit time. Joe, Hank and Dixie caught the James gang and freed their hostages. Thaddeus was so grateful that he signed the farm back to Jeremiah and Jenny. Fade ahead to Hazzard County. The 4 Dukes and Cooter are at the farm celebrating the words in Jenny's diary. She left a clue as to the whereabouts of the revised deed and the Dukes figured out it was Boot Hill cemetery and went there and unburied it. -- What a fun episode.....a true classic that every Duke fan cherishes. -- My only disappointment is that Enos wasn't on it. RogerDuke
You are right again. Thanks for the correction. I actually had it right at first but looked at the book for something else and went back to my post and "corrected" it. It's a good thing I don't depend on that book too much because it is loaded with errors. I have caught myself glancing at it more in season 7 than usual though.....only 9 episodes left. Moments later the General wouldn't start so the boys and Cale took the robbers car but Rosco caught them and put all 3 in jail and gave the bags of money to Boss. The 3 broke out and hopped in the General that Cooter just repaired and made it to the hospital just in time for Cale to see Robby before the operation. Cale stayed there and was also with him afterwards. The Dukes did some investigating and found out about the robbery and where the hideout was. The boys were caught at the hideout and so was Cale later. Eddie and Elmo tied them to a boiler and rigged it to blow up but Luke broke loose and rescued the other 2 before the explosion. The robbers went to the courthouse, took the money, put Boss and Rosco in jail and then left with Rosco's car. Bo, Luke and Cale caught them and the reward money went to Robby's future education. Cale won his race in his #28 Hardee's car and dedicated it to Robby in the interview. RogerDuke
Danger on the Hazzard Express.....season 7 On the way home from a fishing trip, Bo, Luke and Daisy encounter a car rolling down the road without a driver. Three guys, named Burke, Carney and Perry are remotely operating it from atop Eagle Point. The car gets in a battle of chicken against the General Lee and loses. It goes off the road in a rollover crash. The Dukes got shot at trying to get close to it and report the incident to Boss and Rosco. Boss already knew about it though because the trio of bad guys called him. Boss was planning on using the remote controlled car to crash into a moving train and scoop up the two million dollars worth of gold, silver and platinum it would be hauling when it falls out after a derailment but now the car is unusable. When the Dukes went back to inspect the car it was gone. The bad guys took it and stripped the remote control equipment off. Later, they stole the General Lee and rigged it up to operate remotely. Jesse picked up the carless Dukes at Waylon Corners and then they split up to search for the General. Bo and Luke were driving Dixie when they found it and the General ran them off the road. Later, the boys snuck into Boss's office and figured out what was going on after finding a model railroad set up. They went to Eagle Point but got caught and tied up. The bad guys called Boss and told him they were going to kill the boys so Boss, Rosco and Jesse went to save them. The boys got loose and luckily Daisy was driving by in Jesse's truck to pick them up. The bad guys sent the General and it rammed the truck off the road and chased the (running on foot) Dukes. Bo and Luke made it back to Eagle Point and Bo grabbed the General while Luke fought the bad guys. Bo couldn't control it as it raced toward the train but Luke grabbed the controls and made an adjustment just before Bo disabled the controls. RogerDuke
Sittin' Dukes......season 7 Two bad guys named Hixx and Benson broke out of the Chickasaw prison. Hixx has a pet cricket named Herman and Benson is always mean to Hixx and has a plan to get revenge on his superior in the US Marine Corps, a guy named Sergeant Luke Duke who once put him in the brig. The governor put Big Ed Little in charge of the hunt and gave him jurisdiction throughout the state, including Hazzard. In the morning the convicts came to the farm and held all 4 Dukes hostage. After the Dukes gave them food and civilian clothes Benson forced Luke to take him to town for guns and ammo. Enos stopped them at a roadblock and Benson said his name was Jack Parker. Later, Enos recognized him when Little brought pictures to Hazzard. Benson and Luke went back to the farm and Benson forced Daisy and Jesse to take a white delivery truck on the road as a decoy so the police helicopter and cars would go after them. The chopper shot the tires out and it crashed down a hill in a ball of flames but Jesse and Daisy got out first. The search then began for the General with the boys and bad guys in it. Rosco and Little put Jesse and Daisy in jail, accusing them of being the convicts' accomplices. The chopper found the General and Benson forced Luke to drive into a forest fire to evade it. Little then put Lulu and Cooter in jail for trying to break out Jesse and Daisy and then he put Boss and Rosco in jail for arguing about it. They weren't there long before Enos let them out. The General made it out of the fire and Benson wanted an unrecognizable vehicle so he carjacked a car. Hixx then turned on Benson and saved Luke's life. The two bad guys left in the carjacked car, with the General and helicopter in pursuit. Enos and the 6 freed prisoners joined in but before they could get there, Bo and Luke had the convicts captured after jumping the General on top of their moving car. -- The diet that Boss keeps cheating on is a big part of this episode. It includes the scene where he moves in fast motion to hide his food from Lulu. When she fed him a meal he said that it wasn't enough to fill a cavity in his tooth, let alone his stomach. RogerDuke
Sky Bandits over Hazzard......season 7 An armored truck carrying 3 million dollars in cash from Hazzard to the Federal Reserve in Atlanta gets stuck and Bo and Luke help it out. Enos saw the truck drive away and spoke to the boys briefly before they left. Moments later, a lady named Kate, flying a helicopter, dropped bags of motor oil on the truck windshield and when the driver stopped her accomplices kidnapped him and hooked the truck up to the chopper and Kate flew off. She meets her partners, Taylor, Budge and Cleary at their hideout, Boss's old ice house. Boss is pretty worried because "for the first time ever" he didn't spend the money to have the cash insured. When Boss and Rosco go looking for the truck, Enos tells them he saw the Duke boys with the it earlier so they throw the Dukes in jail. When the 4 robbers stole another truck Boss and Rosco realized the Dukes were innocent but they didn't tell them. They purposely let them escape, knowing they had the skills to catch the crooks and prove their innocence. Hazzard folks heard about the robbery and started a run on the bank because they were worried about their life savings, including Miz Tisdale who needed her money for her sister, Beulah Mae's operation. The robbers struck for a third time and this time Daisy was there and got taken hostage and tied up with the 3 truck drivers. The boys found Dixie and figured out that a helicopter was involved. They borrowed ultralights from their friend Vern in Conyers and searched from above while Jesse, Cooter, Boss and Rosco stuffed themselves in Jesse's truck and looked too. The boys found the hideout and the other 4 joined them there. The 6 Hazzard guys overpowered the 4 crooks and freed Daisy and the 3 drivers.
