September 23, 20178 yr We're off to an Alan Jackson concert tonight and have 5th row seats on the floor in front of the stage. I'm not a huge fan but my wife is. I just became a bigger fan a few minutes ago when I checked wickapedia and found out he was raised dirt poor in Georgia. I'm wearing my 01 hat and orange Dukes shirt just in case he notices....they are bright colors after all....and the hat was signed by another Georgia boy, Sonny Shroyer. I'll just bet ya that 'ole Alan is a Dukes fan.
September 23, 20178 yr He puts on a good concert, and he seems like a genuine guy. He has a pretty big car collection as well. His music from the 90's is pure country gold.
September 24, 20178 yr He lives in my hometown ( Williamson Co.) and my mechanic back then showed me this classic 1957 Corvette convertible and told me to look at the registration in the glove compartment. I saw 57 Music Square on the address and knew it must be somebody famous in music...and .....YESS!! It was Alan Jackson's 'Vette!
September 24, 20178 yr Author That's a cool story Hobie. He put on an awesome concert here in Erie Pennsylvania. He sure is a great entertainer. I don't think he noticed my 01 hat but if he did he didn't acknowledge it. Even though we had fifth row seats there was a standing room section in front of us so we weren't as close as I thought we'd be.
September 27, 20178 yr Well, he thought mountain oysters were bull nuts, so....I wonder just how country he really is! ( Probably about as country as Shania Twain, the Canadian, having to learn from voice teachers, how to pronounce certain words to sound more country!)
September 29, 20178 yr Author My favorites are Charlie Daniels, Hank Jr and Sr, Loretta Lynn and Waylon.

October 2, 20178 yr Not really but I hear it from time to time...kinda hard not to seeing as where I live now.....Sparta Tn. home of Lester Flatt!! ( you know who he is, right?)
October 4, 20178 yr Author That's pretty cool. Flatt and Scruggs are legendary. They did the Beverly Hillbilly theme didn't they?
October 4, 20178 yr Yes and they even appeared on a few episodes! Lester Flatt's wife just died here a couple/three years back!
October 4, 20178 yr I know Alan Jackson. Love his famous songs and a few others. We don't hear country on the radio over here so that first thing I did when we got internet in 2007 was search for some country music. I came onto Alan Jackson Dont rock the Jukebox and Chattahoochee.
