March 7, 201610 yr I'd say The Ghost of General Lee. I think it's the only one which made me cry the first time I watched it. I'm not really sure what you mean by dark because I don't remember anything dark on the Dukes.
March 7, 201610 yr Author Roth, that portion of Ghost is sad but the haunting scene is the funniest moment in the entire series.
March 7, 201610 yr Well, you could say the haunted house was a bit dark. I remember and episode where a villain became really really mad on I think daisy. I think that was the darkest in the serie.

March 8, 201610 yr I think the darkest was when Uncle Jesse and the family were literally thrown out of their house. Remember? It was that one where not only was Boss trying to get them off the farm he actually DID it! That woman was buying up Hazzard and was going to strip mine the ground..... The funniest scene in any episode was when Jamie Lee Hogg was going to marry Daisy and Boss was fretting about it and him and Roscoe were sitting together and Boss was talking about looking over the Pumpkin pie, dressing etc. and how seeing Dukes on the other side would be enough to make him loose his appetite and Roscoe said in with a real hungry, dreamy look on his face..." It makes me hungry!" Or how about when Boss talked to Roscoe about arresting the guy dressed as Santa Claus and Cletus couldn't believe it was Santa Claus that stole something and Boss said, " Well it wasn't the REAL San.....what am I saying???? " LOL!!

June 27, 201610 yr I personally think the darkest episode is "opening Night at the Boars Nest". It's the only episode I refuse to watch. It just seemed really dark and I don't know if it's that you knowing it's the last episode or what but I despise this episode.
August 16, 201610 yr Not dark, but Cooter's Girl was a pretty serious story that added a lot of depth to Cooter's character.

August 17, 201610 yr I agree on "Opening Night At The Boar's Nest". I mean, Boss was shot in the chest! Granted, his wallet saved his life, but man... Pretty dark.
August 17, 201610 yr I have to mention my favorite episode, Too Many Roscos, for the scene where they find Rosco's car under water. But the rest of the episode, after Woody comes to town, isn't really dark.
September 20, 20169 yr This is one of my favorites too! I like it when Rosco said he was going to punch the ugly one....the one that looked like him! LOL!!!
