justinpcoltrane Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 Any least favourite episodes? Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted January 30, 2016 Author Report Posted January 30, 2016 I'd say so far out of the ones I've seen "The Great Bank Robbery" and "Sadie Hogg Day" in season 4. They seemed to drag on. Quote
RogerDuke Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 I guess the strange visitor to Hazzard wasn't exactly my favorite. MonacoMan 1 Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted January 30, 2016 Author Report Posted January 30, 2016 I've heard of this one from a friend. I'm new to the show so I've only seen the first 4 seasons online (the account hasn't uploaded the last 3 yet) Quote
Mark B / Scooter Davenport Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 I'm with Roger- 'Strange Visitor' is really hard to watch. That and 'Robot P Coltrane'. Although I'll admit I've thought of making a model of the robot. M Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted January 30, 2016 Author Report Posted January 30, 2016 To me, a couple episodes in the middle of season 4 weren't bad, they were just kind of slow and repetitive. Quote
Hobie Hartkins Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 I agree, Strange Visitor was a stretch and stupid, but I also didn't like Carnival of Thrills where Bo and Luke fight and it's also probably the corniest episode. Also, I didn't like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Duke. I didn't like Luke going off on everybody! I haven't seen those two that much! Quote
Mark B / Scooter Davenport Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 By most people's standards, there are a LOT of bad episodes, but I'd still watch just about any of them any time. "A bad day in Hazzard's better than a good day at work." M Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted January 31, 2016 Author Report Posted January 31, 2016 Carnival of Thrills has its moments. Like the jump at the end. But the corniest part of the episode was at the end of part 1 when Bo says "You're lucky we're in Uncle Jesse's house!" and Luke says, "You're about to get unlucky, because we can always step outside" (or something like that). Some of the dialogue in The Dukes of Hazzard was really corny, especially at the end of season 3 and the middle and end of season 4. They should have kept it like the Georgia episodes, where the writing was great and the dialogue was too. Although many will say the Georgia episodes were overrated. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted January 31, 2016 Author Report Posted January 31, 2016 And also another episode that's good but kind of annoys me is "Double Sting", because the robbers' whole Laurel and Hardy shtick was a bit too weird and corny for me. The jump was ok (also record-breaking, not sure if it still holds the record) but it's starting to annoy me because they reused it in other episodes and people talk about it too much, but that's for another thread. " You're unlucky because we can always step outside!" GOOFY!! Also stupid, remember how Bo was going to make the jump and when he was about to do it, Luke was going to " Ride shotgun" with him, so he could keep his eye on the speed, etc. so Bo could concentrate on the jump!! THAT was weak! How about shooting his chances in the foot, by adding a couple hundred pounds to the weight of the car? Dumb!!! This whole episode with its goofiness and stupidity, makes you wonder about the writers! This one and Dr. Jekyl and Mr. duke are my two least favorite! justinpcoltrane Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 In season 2, they weren't bad, but it just wasn't right watching it with all the contract disputes and stuff. Quote
RogerDuke Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 I'll also agree on Robot P Coltrane along with Strange Visitor but I think I heard James Best say that they were his ideas so out of respect to him I watch them without complaint. I've also watched them with grandchildren. That makes them much better. Although I have to admit I don't need the grandchildren around to enjoy the Dukes cartoons. They'd still cool! Roth Potter Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Strange visitor is enjoyable to me sometimes, yes it's different but not bad in my opinion. Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Duke on the other hand is one I don't really like, That part with Luke and Enos is the worst. Quote
Spike Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 I don't really care for the Coy & Vance episodes though there are a few gems. There is one episode from Season 7 I usually skip past, can't remember the name of it but Bo & Luke jump the General over a barn, it is so cheesy and stupid. You can tell it's a model car and you can tell they really didn't spend the money on the shot otherwise it would have been done better. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 I've read about the model jumps. Quote
Roth Potter Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 That movie from 2005 has some impressive stunts, I give them that, but everything else? That highway jump was one of the best jump ever. Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 Never seen the movie but heard it was awful. Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 Out of the first 2 seasons, any least favourite episodes? Quote
Roth Potter Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 I don't remember in which season was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke. Quote
HossC Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke' was episode 3 of season 7. Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted February 1, 2016 Author Report Posted February 1, 2016 Haven't gotten there yet Quote
Spike Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 That movie from 2005 has some impressive stunt, I give them that, but everything else? That highway jump was one of the best jump ever.maybe one or two stunts but most of them were either cgi or just throwing an empty car. At least on the show most of the stunts were done in real life besides the ones done with model kit cars. Justin don't waste your time watching the 2005 movie, it's garbage. Quote
justinpcoltrane Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 I still have to watch Moonrunners, the last 3 seasons, the cartoon, and the reunion movies, let alone the remake movie. Quote
