Lol, Roger. :)

Is it just me or is the hood a bit too short? These are my scale models, compare it to the AutoWorld one at the bottom.

The Autoworld one is a very nice model.  You're asking about your 2 models above?

I've matched up the MPC Charger with a Revell 69 Charger and they are the same length.  Both are accurately scaled.

I meant the AutoWorld one. I know the Ertl isn't fully correct. I thought you might not know which one the autoworld one is. I copied the picture from a review post I made some years ago now.

Something seems off but i'm not sure if it's your model or mine, anyway. Your MPC ones is definitely better then my Revell one even so far. :p

Thanks for the compliment! :)

The front end of the ERTL one is too short.  Th Autoworld one seems to be accurately sized.

I looked at pictures of Chargers and compared the MPC to a Revell Charger and they are mostly the same size.  The Revell Charger is an incredible kit and is much nicer than the MPC.  However the Revell's front end is a bit larger and more boxy than it should be and the rear bumper is larger.  The front end and rear bumper of the MPC is more accurate.

I decided to modify the MPC Charger with Revell parts too see what I can make of it.  I'm using the Revell suspension and exhaust which is making it nicer and I re-shaped the rear window which was too small and not shaped right.

It's been a while since my last update. :(

Here are a few pictures.  I applied Bare Metal Foil to the molding around the windows and the tail lights and installed the CB radio under the dash board.

The interior is finally mounted onto the chassis and the front suspension is mounted.  Still a few small parts to add though.

I installed the distributor on the engine with the ignition wires.

Thanks Roth!

A company called Mad Modeling makes the pre-wired distributors.  They are made out of resin.  The wires are already attached to the distributor cap.  There something like 30 guage electrical wires.  The distributor kit comes with a larger diameter black wire that has to be cut into small pieces to make the 'boots' that go on the ends of the yellow wires.  It all goes together with super glue.

Oh, nice! I already expected them to be real wires, looks exactly the same colours as real ones.

Now I look at it again, I think I know why my Revell leans to the left.

Just wondering, you weren't planning on doing anything like adding lights to it I suspect? I work with a system nowadays that makes car models for h0 train track drivable which add lights to them and such too, so I had to ask.

No I'm not adding lights.  The problem with adding lights to a 1/25 scale kit like the one I'm building is where to put the battery.  If it's in the trunk then some kind of trap door needs to be added often taken away from the realism.  The other place to put the battery is under the hood and then that eliminates the engine.

The General Lee is all finished!  I took some quick pictures but the lighting inside isn't so good today.  I'll try to take some better pictures soon.

BTW the CB antenna is held on with a magnet so I'll be able to remove it for some pictures.
