01 is in the lead!

Well, the 01.....Corey Lajoie crashed out in the final lap. I won't reveal the rest of the results in case you guys haven't seen it yet. Just exciting to see an 01 racing.

Yeah he was really motivated since he doesn't have a full time ride. Guess he's got another few starts this season and that's it. He should just go to truck series, he'd probably do better there.

It was fun whole it lasted. You just don't see an 01 leading a race very often....at any level, especially NASCAR. 

The video from the car behind Ryan Preece when he crashed was pretty scary stuff. So awesome to see him being interviewed later. The safety of those cars is out of this world.

Yeah that was crazy, that was such a once in a billion fluke how it got airborne. It's funny I read on the NASCAR subreddit someone commented every Daytona 500 they've been to a driver named Ryan had flipped, and they apologized to the 2 Ryan's in the race because he was were there lol.

I missed it due to being out and my antennae not working, but I think I fixed it. We will see next Sunday.  But I think it's amazing that the 24 car is back in Victory Lane for the second year in a row. It was great to see Jeff Gordon celebrating at the end too. Though he wasn't too happy with Joey Logano's move that wrecked the 9 car. (Either am I...) Though I am excited with Jimmie Johnson's third place finish...

Thank you Roger. I am always excited to see the 24 in victory lane. Chase Elliott is my favorite current driver, but William Byron is a very close second. I miss when Chase Elliott was in the 24 car, but the 9 car is definitely his car number as deserved to be.

I'm still waiting for the start of the F1 season (the first race is March 16th), but all the cars and drivers appeared at a special show in London earlier this week to launch the 75th season. Below is a link to highlights of the show:

No. 19 JGR team levied L2-level penalty after Daytona | NASCAR Chase Briscoe got L2-level penalty for his car. He got docked 100 points and 10 playoff points and his crew chief was suspended 4 weeks and car owner Joe Gibbs got fined $100,000 and 100 owner points.
