Spike
Looking like there won't be any Nascar race till May at the earliest. A lot of states are banning large gatherings for the next 4-8 weeks. Some, like Ohio, have even gone as far as forcing closure of restaurants and bars. If you didn't see it some Nascar drivers and crew did an Iracing race yesterday streamed live on Twitch called the Replacements 100 https://www.enascar.com/news-media/2020/03/15/team-penskes-josh-williams-wins-star-studded-replacements-100-race/ and I read there's talk of them doing one every Sunday till the real racing starts up again. I was gonna buy a Nascar game for my PS3 but dang all the local stores are sold out, guess everybody got the racing itch lol.
Hobie Hartkins
I used to drink Buttermilk when I was little. my grandmother got me on it and when I started school, they asked who liked buttermilk and I was the only one that raised my hand! ( Maybe that's why I now enjoy an occasional Heineken...drink Heineken...you'll feel fine again!)

God knows why but they will be airing this on FS1 instead of Fox , the local Fox affiliate just airs either infomercials all day or some stupid movies I've never heard of so it's not like they don't have the free airtime. RogerDuke
I watched Days of Thunder last night. I haven't seen it in years. I'd forgotten how good it is. There were a couple unrealistic scenes but overall pretty entertaining. Edited March 21, 2020 by RogerDuke Flint Duke
Hobie Hartkins
I've never seen it but I remember a song by REO Speedwagon that came out at the same time and mentions it. The line on the album said, " Livin' like my days are numbered", but on the recording, it said " Livin' in days of Thunder", I guess to refer to the current movie. RogerDuke
I have to admit I'm a bit surprised that you've never seen it. I guess it was wrong for me to assume you did. Oh well I wouldn't be offended if you thought I go skiing and ice skating just because I'm from the north. (I don't by the way)
HossC
With the 2020 F1 season currently on hold, some of the teams are refocussing their production efforts to making ventilators for coronavirus patients. Below is an extract - the full article is here. Quote Ventilators are devices used to help supply more air to patients with breathing difficulties, one of the effects of severe coronavirus symptoms. A statement from F1 said: "A collective of UK-based Formula 1 teams, engine manufactures and their respective technology arms is evaluating support for the manufacture of respiratory devices in response to the UK government's call for assistance." "The teams are working in collaboration with F1, the UK government and other organisations to establish the feasibility of the teams producing, or supporting, the production of medical devices to help in the treatment of coronavirus patients." "All the teams have expert design, technology and production capabilities, and specialise in rapid prototyping and high-value manufacturing, which is hoped can be applied to the critical needs set out by government." Meanwhile, the Agnelli family, which controls Ferrari and Fiat, donated 10m euro to the Italian government to help deal with the coronavirus emergency at a national level, as well as buying 150 extra ventilators and providing a fleet of cars to distribute food and medicine. Spike
Well Bubba Wallace learned an expensive lesson...https://sports.yahoo.com/bubba-wallace-loses-real-sponsor-154630588.html . I "rage quit" a few times when racing online and I'll say that ended up hurting my season standings more than just finishing the races even if I would have finished in last place. I remember one race where I got wrecked on the 1st lap and went a lap down while getting repaired in the pits but I decided to help my teammate win the race and in doing so I ended up getting back on the lead lap and finished 3rd. We were great drafting partners and stuck to each other like glue which the other racers didn't do.
HossC
I've never heard of "rage-quitting" before. It seems to be a gaming term.

I've gotten so mad at video games before that I quit. Most of the time you cool off and come back the next day but sometimes it can last permanently. I'm not much of a gamer though. The new ones are just too complicated for a simplistic guy like me.
Spike
I've never heard of the term before this past Sunday, must be some new term the techie kids came up with . It's been a few years since I got mad enough to quit a game. Roger if you like simpler games I recommend any of the Lego ones, especially the ones based in movie franchises like Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park, they are fun to play and replay and the cutscenes are hilarious. Hobie Hartkins
Crystal Gayle, a country music star, very pretty, very long black hair, had this bus driver that lived around the block from my mother. We were talking ( He was from somewhere like Wyoming ( ?) Wisconsin ( ?) ) and he told me, " I thought all you guys did around here was listen to country music." He could see the expression on my face and he said, " I know, I know, I was ignorant." ( I think I had an AC/DC concert shirt on.)
