HossC
From the classic 1971 album 'Tapestry':I Feel The Earth Move - Carole KingThe first time I heard this song it was actually Martika's 1989 cover version. Unfortunately for Martika it was released just before the San Fransisco earthquake, and some radio stations decided to pull the track from their playlists. In fact they just introduced the song on the tv/radio today or last night. Can't get much newer than that. I'm waiting for NKOTB to cover John Cage's 4'33" - I think I'd enjoy that . Don't know if I told this story before, but I'll tell it again. Back in '94 when I was waiting for friends before Elton's concert at the Greek Amphitheater, Davey came out and stood next to me, waiting for someone himself. I turned and I swear all I saw was a waist. I looked up and up and up til I finally saw his face and realized who it was. The dude is TALL! LOL. HossC
We're getting a good mix of "back" songs. I heard this song on the radio last week for the first time in ages: The song reached #8 in the UK in 1975 and #2 in the Billboard 100 in 1976. HossC
I'll have to find a way to return to our "back" theme at a later date, because I still had quite a few to go. In the meantime, I'll console myself with some rock and roll from 1959 :
